Re: Daily donkeys. cheers lads. 3.50 Redcar: CHANTACO Progressive sort who handles any ground and could have won his last two granted some greater luck in-running. The draw could be slightly better here today but looks handicapped to go close provided he gets the break in this big field. 2.50 Sandown: EXCELLENT ART Did the job well on his Newmarket debut and could handle this testing ground better than his market rival CAV OKAY. 4.20 Leicester: GRANNY PEEL You should know by now I like this horse. Kevin Ryan can gain quick compensation with GRANNY PEEL here as the filly has shown more than enough on previous outings to take this. She ran away from her field last time at Wolverhampton earlier this month where she led from tape to line and much of the same can be expected today(ATR) 4.55 Redcar: MACORVILLE Who was a wide-margin winner on soft ground at Ripon. His trainer thinks he has 'a bit of class' and that could show here off a mark from which he has gone well previously. The step up in trip is also likely to prove beneficial.

Re: Daily donkeys. cheers chaps:ok 7.15 Sandown: REVERENCE Progressive sprinter who ran a cracker to finish 3rd in the Palace House Stakes on ground that really didnt suit him. Todays ground should suit a lot better and Eric Alstons raider can secure this £51,000 prize. 3.50 Leicester: STAR CLUSTER Related to plenty of winners and kept up the family tradition when staying on late to win useful 7f Newmarket maiden last July, whole host of winners behind and trainer saying afterwards that he had been easy on her in run up to that race, so improvementwas likely; off since and slower ground an unknown but holds a couple of Group 1 entries and very interesting runner for stable which won this last year.(RP) 4.50 Leicester: SUNDERLAND ECHO Another new horse I like. Twice a winner in her last four starts and unlucky when hampered close home in a Listed race last time. With the ground again fine for her, ought to be tough to beat, the only slight reservation being that she is being kept busy for a 3yo filly but obviously the trainer know if shes ready for this or not. 3.20 Leicester: BOLLIN DEREK Probably flattered to win by as far as he did in heavy ground last time in extreme conditions at Ripon but this surface should still have plenty of give in it and, regarded as the one to beat off only 2lb higher mark, he should be tough to overcome.

Re: Daily donkeys. 7.10 Beverley: KERRYS DREAM Good winner on debut and again showed great speed despite finishing only 4th in a listed race next time. The combo of testing ground and a strong wind didnt help at York either but she is my pick today to bounce back. 3.55 Yarmouth: GREY BOY won a couple of races last season and looks primed for a return to the winners' enclosure very soon after finishing runner up on both his starts this campaign 2.10 Yarmouth: CAPTAIN MARVELLOUS. Impressive win LTO at chester earlier this month in a 15 runner maiden,he faces 5 unraced rivals today and should be capable of defying the penalty. 2.00 Brighton: WINNING SPIRIT finished behind subsequent winner Sonny Red when making a pleasing debut at Newmarket on 1000 Guineas day and Jeremy Noseda's charge looks sure to appreciate today's quicker ground.

Re: Daily donkeys. Just the 1 again -GREY BOY @7/4 3.05 Nott: CAPE Debut 3rd at this track looks even better now and disappointing should she not improve markedly on that run. 3.45 Ayr: PRESS EXPRESS Michael Bell's Press Express ended his 3-y-o campaign with a victory at Newcastle and is likely to go close here after a promising return at Nottingham. 7.20 Sandown: GRAIN OF TRUTH Landed the odds in a Ripon maiden three weeks ago and will be strongly fancied to follow up with the stable in such good form.Connections have found a nice opportunity to complete a double before the possibility of stepping up in trip at Royal Ascot or in the Irish Oaks. 7.55 Sandown: MASHAAHED Still a maiden but that can change after this, which looks ideal for Barry Hill's colt. Will probably appreciate this easier ground compared to the going at Chester, when the Barry Hills raider ran behind PAPAL BULL, form which might yet work out quite well!

Re: Daily donkeys. Cape won @ 6/5 Mashaahed won @ 8/13. Not exactly retirement funds but.............. onwards. 1.40 Epsom: BAHIA BREEZE. With Echelon having her penalty for a recent Lingfield victory Im siding more to Bahia Breeze. She acquitted herself well against some of the best fillies around over 1m in first half of last year (finished in front of Echelon in 1,000 Guineas) and proved she retains the greater part of her ability at Newmarket (1m1f) last month on second outing afterlayoff. 2.45 Epsom: LOOK AGAIN Went close (despite trouble in running) behind Star Of Light at Newmarket and again, going clear from over 2f out but nailed final strides, over extended 1m2f at York four days later; able to race off same mark here and is due to go up 9lb, so in with a very big shout.(RP) 3.25 Epsom: OUIJA BOARD. Price of the Fav is too short for me and still to be proved on the ground. O.B handles the track having won the Oaks and seem better than ever judged by her recent runs abroad. Would have won the QEII Cup at Sha Tin last time with a clearer run. 4.45 Epsom: KINGSGATE PRINCE. This trip probably suits KINGSGATE PRINCE better than the 6f he managed to win at last time. He has now proven his ability to handle the turf and is clearly in good form. Despite a penalty for his recent listed win at Newbury he is still best in at the weights on official figures(ATR)

Re: Daily donkeys. poor day yesterday:sad 2.30 Epsom: MUBAASHIR 2 horse race IMHO. I know Sadeek is the one to beat but for value Im going to side with Mubaashir with Frankie on board. Made it two out of two with a strong finish to pick up the pieces after the leaders had gone too hard in Class 2 at Chester; lot to like about the way he buckles down to his work, open to further improvement and 6f will suit. 3.30 Epsom: FIRE UP THE BAND. Won this last year 1.5 lengths infront of Peace Offering. Fire up the band is a speed horse and may be able to make a repeat of last years win. Raced over the fastest 5F in the world you need a bit of luck inrunning with so many horse and F.U.T.B likes to get his nose infront and stay there. Dandy Nicholls has made this race his own in recent times, saddling the first two horses home both in 2002 and last year. Throw in the fact that Dandy also claimed the 2003 renewal, whilst saddling the runner up two years ago, and you have conclusive proof that Nicholls is the man to have on your side. 4.20 Epsom Derby: SEPTIMUS "Septimus will be a better horse on better ground."said Fallon before he chose Nelson. I think H.Nelson will have his followers and the Fallon factor will probably make him the Fav of O'briens but Im going to side with Septimus. Kinane is an excellent jockey who tends to win big races and the manner of Septimus's win at York was impressive. Running away with Dante Stakes at York, a race won by last two Derby winners. 5.05 Epsom: SOLENT Progressing over this trip now he settles better and firmly in command in lesser handicap at Newbury last time; no problem with today´s quicker conditions and although this is tougher it´s worth remembering he had Group aspirations in his younger days and is now fulfilling his potential.(RP) My head hurts:sad

Re: Daily donkeys.

2.30 Fontwell: BRADS HOUSE A couple of solid efforts in defeat the last twice behind Jonjo's inmates. A consistant sort and this certainly looks no tougher, so every chance that he can finally collect.
Runs again today:2.10 Hereford Won really well that time and can win today under his penalty as the ground is the key with him. 3.00 Southwell: MUNADIL Won a classified chase at Worcester LTO where he improved for the fast conditions and can score again today. 2.50 Brighton:AASTRAL MAGIC has been knocking on the door on the polytrack and is well weighted on her best turf form.Richard Hannon's four-year-old was held up in the rear of the field on the Polytrack at Lingfield, before producing an excellent burst to overtake all bar the winner Kaveri. She's worth supporting here. 4.20 Brighton: PLAIN CHAMPAGNE Sprang a 50-1 surprise last week over 1m 4f here.Dr Naylor’s raider showed pace when others around her faltered at the vital stage of the race. She's now been dropped 9lb in the handicap, so even with a 6lb penalty, is actually 3lb better off today.
