Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. ;) SUNDAYS. 2.10 Pontefract: MALAAQ A highly encouraging performance when travelling well for a long way at Yarmouth on debut and with more to come will be a major contender for this opener. Michael Jarvis had scored with three of the seven juveniles he has saddled at Pontefract in recent years. 3.20 Hexham: YES SIR Probably a poor price but worth sticking it in a L15. Still far from the finished article over fences, Peter Bowen's seven-year-old has won his last two starts by a combined 46 lengths, despite still showing signs of hesitancy over a couple of fences at Stratford last time and with improvement likely(and AP on board), he should have enough to score 3.40 Pontefract: LOST SOLDIER THREE Lacks a recent run but the stable is in great form and this progressive stayer's class may count in the end.I remember backing it a few times last year, class horse who is worth following. 5.10 Pontefract: MR CELLOPHANE Been knocking on the door for a while now and might have won at Lingfield last time but for being carried left. Seems to be improving with experience and the stiff 6f here should be bang up his street.

Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. Just the 1 winner but at a shite price of 4/11. 4.15 Wolv: HITS ONLY JUDE Has dropped back to a winnable mark recently but has been running better than his form suggest. 4.45 Wolv: CAMPANILE Represents the in-form James fanshawe team and shaped with great promise on his only start at two last term. Ignore his last run this year as it was on fast ground and he is fancied to return to form in this contest. 6.40 Windsor: GOWER SONG Having won in facile fashion over course and distance last Monday, David Elsworth’s raider must be supported in the opening event. The opposition is not as strong as last week in my considered opinion, and John Egan’s mount should have this contest wrapped at the furlong marker despite the six pound penalty. 7.40 Windsor: BURNING INCENSE Ran in a very competitive heat latest and didn't get the clearest of runs when making his bid. Roger Charlton's charge has yet to get his head in front but looks capable of doing so off his current mark and Roger Charlton's horses have hit form of late. Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. 2.45 Beverly: UNIQUE MOMENT Arrives on the back of a success in similar company at Hamilton latest when Oldenway was back in third. This was Mark Johnstons only option for this event five days ago, such is the confidence that the trainer has in his filly 3.15 Beverley: RILEY BOYS Course-specialist proved his stamina when finihsing strongly to win here last time. He has gone up 6lb for that win but is capable of following-up here 3.45 Beverley: FUNFAIR WANE The seven-year-old took the eye when finishing strongly to grab fourth behind Magic Glade at Chester last time however, and as a previous course and distance winner, he is worthy of the utmost respect if back to anything like his best. He has been running in better races for the greater part of his career and is expected to dispose of this opposition with the minimum of fuss. 8.30 Newbury: DIVINE RIVER Did the job nicely here on her debut 2 months back and can improve again on handicap bow with Fallon on board. Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. 2.30 Salisbury: RIPPING Richard Hannon suggested that there might not be much to choose between RIPPING and Gilded before the ‘Queen Mary’ last week, so the Green Desert filly must have been showing plenty at home. Never got the run in the Queen Mary and needed the experience on its debut. Can make up for that today. 3.20 Carlisle: HULA BALLEW Has scored three times over this trip prior to running a creditable race in fifth over 7f at Ayr latest. She looks a leading player here and will be a tough nut to crack. 3.30 Salisbury: SIMONDIUM Was an impressive 6 length winner on his debut at Newbury in a maiden last month. The extra quarter of a mile should not present any problems, and Jim Crowley’s mount should be taken very seriously in future contests if he up to this task. 3.50 Carlisle: KARLU Lightly raced for his age and should be a nice price here having ran too badly to be true on his reapperance,Freshened up since then and interesting that PAT EDDERY is bringing him this far for his next start. Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. 2 winners, poor prices tho. 2.30 Folkstone: GLODAL GUEST Put in a fine effort when chasing home 2 Mark Johnston inmates on his second start.Further improvement is expected. 3.30 Folkstone: DIAMOND JOSH Will look for a third win in a row in this claimer after victories in sellers at Bath and Ripon. 5.00 Folkstone: AURORA JANE Barry hills has a good record here (19% strike rate) and Aurora Jane is his only runner on the card. She has placed twice from 3 starts this term. 7.15 Newcastle: FYODOR Was an expensive failure last time when running abysmally at Newbury. However, a 2 month absence tells us that all was not well with Haggis's charge and he is expected to leave that form behind in this 5F heat.(might be a decent price also:))
Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. 2.10 Newcastle: PHILHARMONIC Found Etlaala just too strong in a listed event at Salisbury last time and a repeat of that effort could suffice in this Group 3 contest. 2.35 Winsdor: LIBRETTIST Made an impressive return to action when defeating subsequent listed winner Alfie Flits at Nottingham and Frankie Dettori's mount will prove a tough nut to crack with further improvement assured. 3.00 Newmarket: HARD TOP Classy 4yo with more to offer and best to forget last weeks Hardwicke flaop as he was to keen in the early stages. Rare for Stoute to turn out such a good horse so soon and should have enough quality back in Listed grade. 3.20 Newcastle: BULWARK Progressive stayer who should be suited by the demands of this race and, crucially, has a single-figure draw. Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. Just the 1 :sad poor price. 2.10 Uttox: KENS DREAM Potentially decent hurdler who can get back on the winning trial having fallen in the swinton handicap last time. 2.30 Windsor: HIGH STYLE High Style has shown enough ability in three races to date to be a major player in the first nursery of the season. Not beaten far in fair maidens at Brighton (6f) and Sandown last twice; likely to find things a little less demanding now handicapped 4.00 Warwick: HABSHAN. He is dropped in class slightly and should make his presence felt with both the trip and underfoot conditions to suit 4.25 Uttox: DEAD EYED DICK Comes back from a long break here but has an excellent record when fresh and the trainer has had this race in mind. Remains open to further improvment in races of this nature and prevailing quick conditons wont hinder.

Carl
Re: Daily donkeys. 2.05 Sandown: REVERENCE Succesful over C+D in the temple stakes in May but was unable to show his true ability in the Kings Stand next time but to be fair he was hampered that day. On good to firm horses can get away from him, as they did when they went into the Dip at Newmarket but Kevin Darley was adamant he would have won in another 20 yards. 2.20 Haydock: IDARAH Won 2 of his last 3 starts prior to disappointing at Ascot. He aims to resume his progress at a course he won at on his reapperance. 2.50 Haydock: GUILIA Gave Scottish stage a fright at Newbury before patently failing to handle the gradients of Epsom in the Oaks.Possible this more conventional track will help here. 3.30 Haydock: SIGNATORY Lightly-raced type representing a very shrewd outfit and interesting that he's been kept training at four. Won well on his reapperance at Newmarket and has swerved a couple of options in order to wait for this
