It's the penultimate weekend of action in La Liga. Barcelona continue their quest to go the entire season unbeaten with two matches this week. Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will vie for second place. Valencia have claimed the final Champions League qualification spot already. Real Betis have secured the one Europa League qualification position. Villarreal should confirm their place in the second position if they beat Barcelona otherwise it will go down to the weekend games with Getafe and Sevilla still holding faint hopes of gate crashing the party. Malaga, Las Palmas, and Deportivo have tied up the relegation issue already.

What do you think are the bets to pick out this weekend?

Levante vs Barcelona

All eyes in Spain will be on the Ciutat de Valencia this Sunday when lowly placed Levante will host a Barcelona side that is attempting to go an entire La Liga season undefeated in a 7:45pm kick-off. Can Ernesto Valverde's side go one step closer to pulling off this incredible feat?

27 wins and 9 draws from their 36 league games so far for Barcelona. During that time they have scored 94 goals and conceded just 24 goals including 18 clean sheets. It's been a cracking effort from Messi and co but do they have what it takes to avoid defeat against Levante here and Real Sociedad next weekend?

It's not been quite as successful a season for Juan Muniz's side. They are positioned in 16th place. It was a run of four consecutive league wins that has seen them pull away from the threat of relegation but before those 12 points came it was looking ominous.

I fully expect Barcelona to take another giant step towards immortality here with a comfortable win. The travelling side have scored at least two goals in 9 consecutive league games now so I fully expect them to win by at least two goals here against a side that will feel they have done their job by staying up this season.

Real Betis vs Sevilla

Spain - La Liga

Prediction: Over 7.5 Cards

Price - 5/6 (1.83)

Spanish La Liga is drawing closer to an end to another thrilling campaign and in the Round 37 there is a local derby to be played, which will definitely will have more than just points at stake. Many of the question marks whether who will be champion, who will be relegated and who will be playing in Europe next season were already defined long ago. The last question remains – can Barcelona end the season unbeaten and who will be the last UEFA Europa League representative from Spain. Due to Barcelona’s success in Copa del Rey, the 7th place will also give European football. Surprisingly or not, Real Betis are already qualified for Europe, but Sevilla still have all to play for. Betis are with 59 points sitting on 5th place and can not drop further than 7th place even if they lose both their remaining games. Seville meanwhile are battling for the 7th spot with Getafe who are just 2 points behind. The first meeting proved to be a real masterpiece between the two sides – Betis won away 5-3, so Joaqin Caparros and his men will want to restore their local pride and to earn themselves a driving seat in the race for European qualification. Previous meetings between these two resulted in the following number of cards: 9, 6, 9, 9, 12, 10, 9, 9, 8, 10, 8, 10 and the games are usually feisty ones. During the week Seville won against Real Madrid, so the visitors will be with confidence, but Betis are the surprising package of this season so the visitors can take nothing for granted. The referee will be Alfonso Alvarez Izquierdo, which is 5.83 average yellow cards per game.
