BillyHills Posted December 7, 2017 Share Posted December 7, 2017 1250 Sandown Pickamix 3/1 Coral/PP The opening contest at Sandown is confined to Amateur Riders and my idea of the winner is Pickamix trained by Charlie Mann and ridden by the experienced Sam Waley-Cohen. He won his last two hurdle races back in the Spring and then after a break made his debut over fences at Fontwell where he was second. Stepped up to 3 mile next time and ran well again off a mark of 128 which was 5lbs higher than his hurdle rating. Obviously chasing was always going to be his bag and a good effort at Cheltenham last time confirmed that. We need to look back to Dec 14 for his last win over the bigger obstacles off a mark of 134 over 3 miles. That said he has ran some cracking races at Sandown with course from 2/2/3 and if he gets into a good ryhthm with a positive ride I think he can go close. bluemal Posted December 7, 2017 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Thanks those who like yesterdays post Exeter 3:15 Yanmare @ 6/1 Ladbrokes e/w thanks Yanmare....from Nigel Twiston-Davies yard the 7yo has won three chases and a point-to-point from 3m to 3m 1f on good to soft and soft ground , He had his first run of this season 23 days ago here over 3m good to soft off 104 mark in class 4 RGB Building Supplies Handicap Chase,Things where going well till he hit 6th but recovered with Jamie Bargary easing him back into race for a strong challenge 4 out staying on with every chance when challenging for lead but fell 2 out for the first time in 15 races two of which PTP a win and 3rd place , Rules Races he was unsuccessful in 2 hurdle races but in 11 chases he's found 6 frame finishes,Jamie been in saddle for the 3 chase wins and last 4 races two 2nd places and 3rd place before that fall and takes the ride today with handicapper adding 1lb and up in class 3 but Jamie claims 3lb off and going with the extra distance should suit corky and BillyHills 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
