Dealt A2 on SB and it's folded to me so I pushed my 1500. BB has 3000 and he calls with 62. I'm ahead 93%(neither of us hit anything) till the river and you can guess the river card. Man with pocket aces earlier, going all in for 1500chips when blinds are 15 - 30. What are you doing? Its poker because your meant to play a while. Play like that you should just go bet on roulette and win a 50/50 roll. Man on the button who pushed with A-2. There's a great chance that if u get called your dominated. Bad call by the other player but bad play by you also. It never ceases to amaze me how people with Ace rag get so attached when they raise. Come and have a moan here in a STT it's +EV to push with any two cards if you are on the SB when it's folded to you and you or opponent have less than 10xBB. A2 is way +EV in that situation. If you are folding the A2 in that situation, I'm sorry to say this but I don't think you are a winning player at STT's. Edit : If you are talking about someone else definitely ignore this post.. Yeah - I kind of agree with you :ok I cant remember the specific game, but my guess is it was early in a freeroll - so I'm more prepared to "gamble" a bit. The all in with such a small pot is a lack of respect for my opponents - obviously I want a caller, but they would be massively wrong to call - ESPECIALLY with J9s!!! Given that I got a caller, I'd argue my judgement was right to go all in - I know I'm ahead and I got action - I take that situation all the time :ok Poker is a game of small edges - it's about finding positive ev situations - here I'm get just over even money when I'm about an 80% shot - I'm levering a great advantage and getting pretty decent positive EV - not sure I'll get many better situations in a game - I certainly could NOT have got better ev in the hand by making a smaller bet. That's not roulette - that's managing my spots to maximise ev - That's Poker Baby!!! I think the comment that a pre flop all in is akin to roulette demonstrates the kind of attitude I was talking about in the "Poker Snobbery" thread - I dont mind going all in pre flop if that is how I maximise my ev - players who would rather "out play" me at the expense of ev and wont go all in pre flop (for fear of being out drawn, even when they have the best of it)will lose out ... Come and have a moan here I had an amazing one yesterday, I limped in from the SB with J9s (clubs), and the flop was three clubs K,7,3. The pot was 250 so I bet 150, a guy called and another one pushed all in (around 1400) , I had him covered but I moved all-in too and the other guy folded. He showed TT with no clubs and the percentages were 97-3, then came a T and then a K lol. didn't post a screenshot because I don't wanna see it again.. the table after that I pushed 9xbb with pocket kings and a poker expert with a stack that's just a little bigger than mine called with 9-5 and beat me but that's normal I guess, just thought the first one was funny..:lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have no idea how to get hand histories off of Betfair, so please bear with me. 1st. A 10/20c cash table, both me and Villain have about $25 in front of us. I have AA, raise 4xBB, he calls. Flop comes raggedy, no straights but two clubs (I have the ace). I bet the pot, he calls. The turn is another small club. I bet, he re-raises all-in, I call. He turns over Queens (no club). Only the Queen of Spades can save him.......:@ 2nd. A $5 tourney. A guy slow plays his KK, lets me in with J10. flop comes J/10/3 rainbow. I check raise all-in.
