York 3:45 Toe The Line @ 33/1 win thanks Toe The Line.....from John E Kiely small yard in Ireland where he train 5 horses for Flat and 9 for NH and is good at targeting big races and send Toe The Line over for Ebor, Toe The Line she has won three times from 1m 4f to 2m on good to firm and soft - heavy ground; has also won a NH flat race with two wins coming last year in big races at Leopardstown 1m 6f and 2m at Curragh , The yard book Jamie Spencer to ride horse which could be a good indication that the yard feel the 6yo could be expecting a big run out horse at 33/1 at bet365 must be worth a small e/w

Y3.10 Ode to Evening 28/1 Coral S De Souza takes the ride for the first time here and any further ease in the ground would improve the horses chances. The horses only run on softer ground resulted in the horse sluicing up at Ripon. The horse was then tried in the Coventry Stakes and ran a decent enough race where the ground might've been too lively for it. Tough task again here but the horse couldn't have been any more impressive on softer ground in that win so looks value with De Souza on board for the Johnston stable.

345 York: Suegioo 50/1 bet365 Long shot who has the ability to go close on his best form (won Chester Cup and 9th here last season) and now wears blinkers for the first time so maybe worth a small punt at the odds on the last day of the competition. Drawn 19 which is not great but winners have come from high numbers in the past so not all hopeless.

York 3.45 - Angel Gabrial - win at 50/1 bog bet365 Ebor handicap My selection looks to have a better chance than his odds. Needs a handicap career best as he's 9lbs above his last winning mark but he was beaten under 2L off 2lb lower in June. Has run in a couple of pattern races since then Might be better today in a big field handicap because he stays well and goes well in big fields with a decent pace on appears to act on any going

3.45 York: Ebor Handicap, 1m 6f The competitiveness of this race is obvious, so is the almighty task which Fields Of Athenry faces. The 3 year old colt has to defy a handicap mark as high as none before has won from in a British Handicap from. In addition he has been allocated the widest possible draw. A big negative for a front-runner. For all those reasons Fields Of Athenry has drifted from 6/1 out to 11/1 over the last couple of days. This price is too big in my book, though, and I become quite interested in this smart Leger contender. Why? It's easy to see why. He is lightly raced, has potentially more improvement left in him, and despite a high mark, profits from the weight for age allowance as well as enjoys a handy 5lb claim from talented Donnacha O'Brien in the saddle. One could have only have been impressed with his last two wins in Listed and Group 3 company. This lad has no problem to stay the distance and is one of the rare talent who can actually quicken from the front. He did this most impressively in the Listed Challenge Stakes at Leopardstown last month. More is required here today, it's a much stronger field, but rated at 119, he is the class act. He will have to be a genuine Leger contender if he wants to overcome his big mark today - I feel he has a good chance to do that. The wide draw is a problem, but he can be able to get across soon and track the pace. At 11/1 I'm rather with him than against him. Fields Of Athenry @ 11/1 Stan James - 5pts Win
