Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 2.15 southwell Torridian @ 8/1 365 i noticed the site had a very good wk at southwell last wk and the switch to fibresand could bring a big improvement. Extra distance should suit, down 3lbs from last run at Wolves and Luke on board all points to a big run at decent odds...

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015

1.15 Southwell Queen Of Skies comes from a top yard around here who continue in good form, he won with a little to spare over a mile last time out and a 2lb rise looks lenient. Career best effort required on only 2nd try at 7f which is a little concern. Amenable scored nicely over 6f last time out after a string of solid efforts however a 6lb penalty makes life a lot tougher and yet to win over 7f. Interchoice Star won in really good fashion over CD at beginning of December an 8lb rise looks fair on that form however that form does look weak since and never won off a mark this high. Novalist might be worth chancing on. He won 2 weakish looking CD handicaps off basement mark and then under penalty. Landed no sort of blow on 3rd quick run under a double penalty and over a mile but also without headgear. Blinkers back on today, 1lb lower and returned to 7f which he is now 2 from 2. He has won off a mark of 55 and now running off 56 so not totally out of this. 1pt win Novalist 6/1 hills

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 15:25 Southwell Extreme Supreme 1pt win 4-1 Coral (BOG) Extreme Supreme is aiming for a hat-trick and has demonstrated the ability to stay on towards the end of the race. 2/2 (100%) at the course and 2/5 (40%) at the distance. 6lbs higher than the previous which can be overcome. Has held a high-class entry previously and I think there is scope to improve in this bid for the hat-trick.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 1.45 Southwell - Eium Mac win @ 9/4 Ladbrokes I backed General Tufto to beat Eium Mac last week and he won by a neck. This time though I fancy Eium Mac to overturn that form as he re-opposes General Tufto on better terms as General Tufto is running with a penalty this time out. The pair pulled well clear of the rest, albeit in a slightly weaker race, which suggests that there may be more to come from the pair and I wouldn't be surprised if they finished 1-2 here today. However the most likely winner looks to be Eium Mac as he is much better of at the weights

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 Southwell 3.25 - Scarborough (1pts win, 5/2 Bet365) Good effort lto when 3rd here behind Royal Bajan in a decent race and is 1lbs lower today, has won three times from five visits here on the sand and should go well again.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 2.50 Southwell: Seychelloise @ 9/4 Coral This is a very interesting filly going back into maiden company after a couple of decent outings as a juvenile last year. She finished a very fair third here at Southwell over course and distance back in December when last seen in a hot little handicap. She was eased down in the final furlong when it became apparent that she wouldn't be able to challenge for the win, but was only three lengths beaten behind a now 80 rated individual. Seychelloise clearly improved in this run compared to her Southwell debut outing and I believe with this experience under her belt she is poised to do very well on this fibresand surface. She was clearly keen to get on with things here the last time, unlike when she got a first taste of the deep Southwell surface. This filly is pretty nicely bred and should have naturally a bit of talent, she looked small and light last year though and on pedigree is expected to improve with age and experience. So turning three years of age now, one would hope she can leave last seasons forms behind. Her mark of 65 is low enough and her profile suggests that a run of subsequent wins is not unlikely, given that she is trained by a certain Mr. Prescott - even though this doesn't really matter in a maiden today. Interestingly Seychelloise is fitted with blinkers for the first time. Maybe she lacked a bit of focus when it really mattered in her starts so far. So this may help her to finish her races better. I suspect that connections are very keen to get a maiden win on the boards with her, as she could be an interesting broodmare prospect in the future, given her breeding. But today is what matters first, and in this not overly exciting field, Seychelloise should have too much on her plate for her rivals.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 Sou 3.25 - Bapak Bangsawan at 40/1 with wm hill 5F handicap at Southwell He's run OK here and is well handicapped and drawn low. Did well last time to be beaten just 4 lengths from stall 11 so that run can be upgraded. You do get the impression that once they've gone to Ann Stokell their winning days are over but she pops one in every now and then and usually at big prices.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 3.50 Fakenham: Master Rajeem 2/1 Stan James Neil King used to train at Newmarket and was very good at getting the right type of horse to do well at this quirky track, interesting he brings just two today and the other one doesnt have much chance so Master Rajeem is worth supporting in the last. Won by 25 lengths at Sedgefield last week so due to go up a lot more than his 7lb penalty and he can defy the rise here. On the drift and now fair value at 2/1.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 13th Jan 2015 3.25 SOUTHWELL SCARBOROUGH @ 9/4 Boylesport BOG I'm going to take a chance that Appleby has still got a bit to play with in this one's mark of 80. Ran a good race LTO on first run for two months off a 1lb higher and drops back to a class 4 today. Track record reads 15113 and Morris rises in preference to Guishan.
