Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 3.20 Lingfield - Angelina Ballerina win @ 9/1 Bet365 This one ran poorly lto at Southwell over a mile. However that was after a break of well over 500 days so she should strip fitter this time around. The race before her reappearance she finished a good C&D behind the 60 rated Matraash who has gone on to win 3 races since the race. Angelina Ballerina had the same jockey and ran off of the same mark so a repeat performance should see her go close. Her most recent winning mark was 50 but on her past form she looks well handicapped and should hold a chance as she has won off of a mark 7lb higher than today's in the past.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 Taunton 4.00 - Air Of Glory (E/W, 25/1 Bet365) Winner on the flat at Lingfield on debut before two more poor runs at Kempton was then switched to hurdles and was a well supported 2/1 fav on hurdles bow and ran 3rd of 7 was well beaten in a maiden hurldle at Aintree before a better effort lto finishing 8th of 16. Does need to show improvement but hasn't had many goes so will give him a squeak e/w.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 200 Taun: Bilbrook Blaze 1pt Win 16/1 bet365 Taking a punt here in what i think is a decent looking race and may be worth keeping an eye out on the beaten horses for future reference. The selection was pitched into a fair bumper on debut at Wincanton won by Jollyallan and then stepped up to finish a creditable second at Southwell. (finished in front of Pied Du Roi which is half the price by the way). The Hobbs team have a knack of causing upsets in these novice races and Bilbrook Blaze may be worth an each way bet at the odds.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 T4.00 Air of Glory 1pt Win 25/1 Bet365 I'm with Santos here in taking a chance on this unexposed horse stepping up on previous efforts. The horse raced off a mark on 84 on the flat for Saeed Bin Suroor and that level suggests that the horse might just have a touch of quality. I also like the booking of Trevor Whelan and the trainer had a winner in Boxing Day so hopefully he's coming into some form.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 Taun 3.00 - Faerie Reel - EW at 16/1 bog Ladbrokes Mares listed race We've got a well odds on favourite who ought to win but who is making the EW prices for the others and they don't always win ! My selection is second best on RPR and has the second highest OR of those that have a rating. A couple ahead of her in the market haven't been rated yet She's a 3 time winner on the flat in France then had a year off before running OK in a couple of maiden hurdles. Improved on 3rd outing over sticks to win a Southwell handicap fairly easily Comes here in god nick and is sure to act on the ground and get the trip well.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 Lingfield 12:20 - Commander Pattern WIN @ 20/1 Sky Bet One of only two course winners in the field and Lingfield form can be a big advantage. Finished last of six at Kempton last time out but has dropped three pounds and now comes back to the course and distance of his only win, which was his only run at the track. Was 10th behind Hootenanney in Listed company earlier in his career.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 30th December 2014 Lingfield 3.50 : Lexington Blue @ 20/1 bet365 e/w thanks Lexington Blue.....from Seamus Mullins yard I canny let a blue go by the 4yo has won twice on AW both of which its ratings have been off 52 although its off 53 today it did win here in November this year , That last win saw ratings go up to 54 in next two races a 8th place finishes at Kempton 8f AW two races back and here 8f 20 days ago both races saw two different young apprentices in saddle, So to me the trainer working the ratings down as its last win jockey Steve Drowne comes back in to ride horse again at big odds,
