A Little Chaos 13.45 Fakenham 15 Pts Win @ 8\13 (bog)

Ex-pointer who left previous efforts behind when making all in a C&D novice in December but may have to pull out a bit more if she's to defy a penalty, acknowledging she really only has one to beat.

1st @ 1\5 -  tracked leader 1st, left in lead on long run before 3rd, steadied into 2nd place 3 out, led on bit 2 out, quickened clear from the last, not extended

2nd - led, joined last, headed and unable to quicken run-in, kept on for clear 2nd

Quantum of Solace 14.20 Market Rasen 16 Pts Win @ 11\8 (bog)

In good form over hurdles this season and left previous chase starts behind when runner-up at Huntingdon and Ffos Las last 2 starts. Remains of interest.

2nd -  held up off the pace in 6th, closer approaching 8th, tracked leaders next, 2nd before 3 out, challenged next, went left last, ridden to lead briefly and hung left run-in, soon no extra

Galvin 14.00 Ayr 17 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

Unbeaten in 3 starts during the summer, namely 2 bumpers and maiden hurdle, and took form to a new level when landing a good-quality 4-runner novice at Navan last month. Will take some stopping.

1st @ 4\11 -  tracked leader, challenged going well after 3 out, led narrowly between last 2, hard pressed when driven and hung left flat, kept on towards finish

Arvica Bleu 13.15 Thurles 17 Pts Win @ 6\5 (bog)

Useful chaser. 5/2, very good third of 7 in handicap chase at Naas (16f, good to soft) 32 days ago, travelling strongly. Looks competitive on form.

Fell - chased leader, hampered 1st, slightly bumped 4th, 3rd halfway, improved to lead and dispute at 5th, ridden in lead after 2 out, joined again last when fell

Well the last four days have been a disaster and the Horse Flu is another hindrance. At the moment the pessimist in me says it will be tough to make a profit this year.

Poperinghe Ginger 14.20 Musselburgh 16 Pts Win @ 2\5 (bog)

Showed ability in bumpers and took a step forward from hurdling debut when close second in maiden event at Huntingdon (20.7f) last month, running on late. Hard to beat.

2nd - led, not fluent 2nd, soon headed, led again after next, headed 2 out, hung left and no extra closing stages

Definitly Red 15.00 Kelso 17 Pts Win @ 1\7 (bog)

Has looked as good as ever this term, supplementing his Charlie Hall success in the Grade 2 Many Clouds Chase at Aintree in December. Disappointing if he can't win this match.

2nd - led, pushed along after 3 out, joined next, soon headed, switched right before last, edged left flat, unable to get back on terms

This is like a yo-yo this season , get a good winner then followed by a couple of losers. Hard to call this year.

Kalashnikov 13.50 Sandown 18 Pts Win @ 4\7 (bog)

Smart hurdler who made a promising start over fences this term, winning small-field events at Warwick and Plumpton. No disgrace in going down to Dynamite Dollars last time and sets the standard here.

Clan Des Obeaux 14.45 Ascot 19 Pts Win @ 2\5 (bog)

Not disgraced on return in the Betfair Chase and subsequently took a big step forward when landing the King George at Kempton (3m). Remains unexposed as a stayer and he's hard to oppose.

Chosen Path 15.50 Market Rasen 19 Pts Win @ 4\9 (bog)

Proved a different proposition on second run over fences with a smooth win in extended 23f Newbury handicap in December, jumping a lot better. Smart prospect.

2nd -  led, went right and pecked 1st, not fluent 4th, went right 6th and 4 out where brushed wing, ridden and went right 2 out, pressed when went right last, soon hung right and headed, no extra

Two two horse races recently and I have managed to pick the loser in each. Tomorrows pick I think will make or break the system for this year.

Dominateur 15.15 Lingfield 20 Pts Win @ 11\8 (bog)

Fairly useful form when placed in strong Chepstow events on his last 2 starts. The one to beat.

Coolanly 14.55 Wetherby 19 Pts WIn @ 2\5 (bog)

Fell on reappearance but back on the up with victory in 21f Grade 2 event at Cheltenham. Done for speed in the Grade 1 Challow at Newbury since but sets clear standard here.

Azzerti 14.25 Ludlow 20 Pts Win @ 1\8 (bog)

Useful hurdler/chaser. Hampered when falling at Cheltenham last month. Clear round is all that is needed in this company.
