Monkfish 13.55 Cheltenham 3 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

1st @ 4\11 - led, slow 2nd, not fluent and headed 8th, led 4 out, soon headed, led again 3 out, 3 1/2 lengths ahead of 2nd but had loose horse just in front when mistake last, stayed on well, comfortably

Envoi Allen 13.20 Cheltenham 3 Pts Win @ 1\2 (bog)

Still on a remarkable unbeaten run and 3-3 over fences after easily landing Grade 3 at Punchestown in January. Top-class prospect who has scored at last two Festivals. Hard to beat for new yard.

Fell - chased leaders, fell 4th

The Dellercheckout 16.40 Fakenham 2 Pts WIn @ 4\6 (bog)

Made a winning hunter debut at Ludlow (3m) in February 2020. Stuck in the mud when distant third of 4 at Haydock final start. Third in a point in December. Looks the one to beat.

Pulled Up - towards rear, headway and left in third when hampered 12th, ridden before 2 out, pulled up after 2 out

*** Well finished the year just as we started picking losers. Still finished in profit having had the worst start that I ever had, taking 81 bets before making a profit. I had 59 winners in total the joint third worse, equaling 18\19. The profit of 11.30 was the 9th lowest in 12 years. The Strike Rate of 60.20% was the tenth year we broke the 60% strike rate. We equaled the unwanted record of most consecutive losers of 5 while the most consecutive winners was 6.

Overall

May come back to continue next year as I am still in profit overall.

Well its that time of the year again !

Back to give it another go, Year 13. The last three years has been a bit of a struggle with 2019\2020 being the worse year of them all. (a loss of 179 Pts)

It is one bet a day, stakes vary depending on profit / strike rate. This may not (probably not) be profitable at level stakes.

I will be looking for a Strike Rate of about 64% or better and a profit of over 2,5%.

Will finish up on the last day of Cheltenham in March.

Go Dante 13.30 Ascot 3 Pts Win @ 1\4 (bog)

Has looked a very good prospect with impressive victories in Wincanton bumper and Bangor novice hurdle. A clear round here should see him remain unbeaten.

not jump well, tracked winner, not fluent 3 out, soon pushed along, ridden and switched right approaching 2 out, not pace to challenge

Bob Olinger 12.20 Gowran Park 2 Pts WIn @ 2\7 (bog)

Continued his ascendancy with a fantastic display in the Ballymore Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival when last seen. That form is strong and he's a most exciting prospect for chasing.

Brief Ambition 13.25 Ludlow 4 Pts WIn @ 2\7 (bog)

Successful twice over hurdles this year and looked a natural when making a winning chase debut at Kempton (20.5f, good to soft) 2 weeks ago. Up 11 lb, but should have more to offer in this sphere.

Sure Touch 13.55 Southwell 5 Pts Win @ 4\9 (bog)

Showed fairly useful form when landing Wincanton bumper but tailed off in Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in April. Goes over hurdles now and needs considering with yard going well.

Cilaos Emery 13.05 Thurles 6 Pts Win @ 1\4 (bog)

Classy chaser with 4 wins from 9 starts over fences, all in small fields. Collared by Samcro at Killarney (20f, good) when last seen and he should make a winning return on first go over this trip.

Jonbon 13.15 Newbury 6 Pts Win @ Evens (bog)

Bother to top-class hurdler/chaser Douvan. Cost £540,000 following a point win and quickened clear in good style to making a winning bumper bow over C&D in March. Very exciting prospect.

Lebowski 12.30 Ayr 3 Pts Win @ 4\6 (bog)

Fair in bumpers but proved a different proposition sent hurdling for new yard, dismantling 10 rivals in 2m Ffos Las novice 3 weeks ago. That form looks good and he's a useful novice in the making.

Lydford 15.00 Southwell 3 Pts Win @ 8\13 (bog)

Useful 12f handicapper on Flat for Roger Varian who made a promising start in this sphere on back of wind op when runner-up in 2m Leicester novice. In excellent hands, and he can go one better now.

Elimay 12.20 Aintree 2 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

Very smart chaser who ran a fine race when second in Mrs Paddy Power Mares' Chase at Cheltenham. Signed off for season with comfortable success at Fairyhouse, and she's the one to beat on her return.

Energumene 14.20 Cork 1 Pt Win @ 1\3 (bog)

Promising type. Career best when winning 4-runner Ryanair Novices' Chase at Punchestown (16f, good to soft, 2/5) by 16 lengths from Janidil, hard held. Off 7 months. Clearly the one to beat.

Oceanline 12.20 Fontwell 5 pts Win @ 6\5 (Bog)

Dual winner on the Flat and well clear of the rest when beaten just over a length on debut in this sphere at Stratford. Proved a shade disappointing at Wetherby next time but it's still early days.

Barrichello 15.10 Bangor 5 Pts Win @ 1\5 (bog)

Slightly frustrating last season but an improved performer during the autumn, winning a brace of novice events at Bangor and Haydock (listed). Expected to defy a double penalty.

Disappointing 4th today

My Drogo 12.40 Cheltenham 6 Pts Win @ 2\7 (bog)

Made it 4 from 4 over hurdles in Grade 1 at Aintree in April and looked set to make a winning start over fences when departing at the trappy second last 4 weeks ago. The one to they all have to beat.

Gold Cup Bailly 13.05 Carlisle 6 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

Won sole start in points and excellent start under Rules when third in a big-field maiden at Punchestown before bumping into Ahoy Senor at Ayr in March. Very much the one to beat up in trip.

3rd today

Nassalam 13.00 Plumpton 7 Pts Win @ 6\5 (bog)

Useful hurdler who has looked a good chase prospect, albeit fortunate to follow up his Ascot handicap win in Newbury Grade 2 (3 lengths down when left clear 2 out). Will improve further.

Vee Dancer 14.15 Catterick 8 Pts Win @ 4\11 (bog)

On a roll and again looked to have masses in hand as he followed up his Huntingdon victory in good style under this rider at Hereford on Saturday. All stamina and the hat-trick beckons.
