I've already mentioned to Darran what I'm putting up here, although he hasn't expressed a view (probably out of kindness!) but bet365's goalscorer market on the Wrexham v Chesterfield market is just jaw droppingly laughable. I won't criticise them for not having Chesterfield's new signing Danny Rowe listed (and we know that, if they listed him at the likely short odds they wouldn't push the others out anyway) but whoever set the odds has done NO research at all, and I mean none.
Leading the market is Chris Sang, with first/last scorer odds of 6.00 and anytime odds of 2.87. He has played no more than 10 minutes since he joined us (Wrexham) a couple of weeks ago! Following him is Asante (out for 9 months), Dior Angus (he will start but odds are pretty short) and then Scott Boden (who plays for Torquay now!). There are more errors like that but, as such, there are now a couple of players you may want to take a look at.
The first pick is Jordan Davies. He was the "next big thing" when we sold him to BHA but things didn't work out there for him, although he was a regular in their u23s. Coming back to us and then having to play out of position in "grown up" football has seen him take time to adjust, but he is showing what we know he has now he is playing as an attacking midfielder supporting the fornt two. He has scored 4 in the last 2 games and is known to hit a free kick. He has also hit the post and the bar and the goals have come from his head and both feet. He is brimful of confidence right now. His odds are 17.00 first/last and anytime 7.50
The second pick, at shorter odds, is another midfielder, Luke Young. He also takes free kicks, is our penalty taker and likes to take a shot if he has sight of goal. He's scored 8 so far and, at odds of 12.00 first/last and 5.00 anytime. Odds are obviously nowhere near the value of JD though.

Wrexham have made 11 changes for their game at Halifax, who have made just 5. Halifax a definite play for me as none of the starting 11 started last week and JJ Hooper has been out injured for several weeks.

Anyone following the bet on Wrexham this morning...you are in for a bumpy ride. 4 haven't started for us before and, of the remaining 5, only one started last time. Bench contains strating keeper and 6 kids.

Talking of massive prices for an away win, Maidenhead to win at Wrexham seems huge and priced up on reputation rather than form. Maidenhead, away from home, are in a rich vein of it and us, last week, are not! We have forgotten how to defend and we appear to have a manager with little idea as to what system to play and who to have in it. We certainly have a squad to compete for promotion but at the moment we just are not showing it and our heads drop if we concede. Maidenhead must be buzzing at the moment and scored two cracking goals at the weekend (plus a penalty). 7/2 seems mad.

Having seen both those games I'd be more minded to oppose us. Last season was built on defence but we couldn't score; this season we can score but are throwing points away. In addition we will miss Grant in midfield due to his suspension and he has got two of the 5 goals we have scored.

Last season we had Kennedy in front of the back four and he provided protection for them. We don't have that this season as the guy we signed to possibly do the same job is injured. Once we get the balance right we will be ok...but I'm not backing us until we have. On Saturday I did BTTS and will do the same again, I think.

I can't let my heart rule my head here.... I wasn't impressed when the new manager was appointed and his assistant, I've heard,  hasn't endeared himself to the players. That, though, isn't the reason to oppose them here...they have lost the last 5 and, more importantly,  failed to score in them. We were crying out for new strikers and a bit of trickery and, fair play, he signed two strikers and a winger.  They have barely played! Last week he started with an 11 he could have named two months ago. Sticking 5 past Salford was an aberration!
Maidenhead are just the type of side we struggle against...park a bus and hope to hit on the break. They also aren't in bed firm and probably didn't deserve to lose against Solihull last week. They are available at 6.00 but I'm playing the DNB at 4.50.
    Christ, I'm depressed.

Sorry Stevie, but I can't see BTTS as a good bet. We've scored once, via a huge deflection, in the last 3 games. I hope we score but I wouldn't bet on us at odds on.

I hate backing odds on but I am adding in us to win at Weston on Sunday lunch. Weston might have picked up a bit in the last couple of games but it is still a team top of the National, with a stingy defence who are capable of grinding out results, against a team rooted to the bottom of the league below. The manager isn't going to play much of a weakened team  (at best one or two rested but on the bench) and knows that this is a decent chance to get to round 2.
Wrexham at a generally available 1.57

Right...quick pick here. Due to unforseen circumstances I couldn't get to Dover at the weekend so took in Maidenhead v Gateshead. Gateshead looked tidy enough but no world beaters but I post here to oppose Maidenhead, who were dire! I know you cannot judge just on one game but any display like Saturday, with a shaky defence and powderpuff attack, sees Solihull Moors a solid bet for me.
