Well in the 1.35 at Navan , Raging Bull 66/1 was second on my ratings a point behind death duty. It’s pulled up last twice so didn’t bother and I was only having the one horse in the race anyway. Bit gutted , but happy I’m looking in the right direction as you say.

Coming out with an explanation for a bad run sounds better than just saying “I don’t know why X horse didn’t show up”.

Always a shame mate but more horses die being turned out than at the races itself .
Not denying that , but the fatality rate for that race in particular in recent years isn’t good reading.

Very elegant sneaked in 7th .....shame about Anthony van dyke being euthanized...you dont expect that on the flat
Very sad indeed. It’s the seventh fatality in the last eight runnings of the Melbourne cup.

Barely had to work for that did Cyrname, briefly shaken up on the run in, but had plenty in hand. Proved a few wrong.

Wetherby 2.10 Two For Gold 3/1

2.35 Leicester
King Carney 15/2
should handle the ground and the drop back to 1m will suit as all his best runs have been at this distance. Good value in a competitive race.

Very good performance by Itchy Feet on reappearance and his jumping was much more assured after unseating his rider at the festival. Will no doubt win some races this season in my opinion and he’s one for the notebook. Sametegal was very disappointing and the trend of winning 10 year olds continues in that race with a mighty run from Minellacelebration. En Meme Temps seemed to lack fitness towards the latter of the race but first race in 10 months, so understandable.
Itchy Feet will come on for that run. Stayed on well and would have gone closer if his jumping was a bit sharper. Good run though in a very tough race.

Nuts Well turning into a very good chaser. More to come I’d say.

I’m also on Mohayyed , Richard. Good luck.

great isn't he !
a real public horse nowadays
Unbelievable mate. Literally never put a foot wrong straight from the off. Was worried West Approach was going to pick him off, but had no chance in the end.

What a run by Frodon . Absolutely faultless and ran them ragged off top weight.

Kempton 2.48, Younevercall 4/1
Been off the track for a bit but should have too much for these if fit and ready. Likes it at Kempton as well.
