What annoys me sometimes is if your top rated isn’t value according to your odds and the bookies odds and it’s only short by a point or two and wins then I tend to ignore the concept of the value bet. I know long term value wins but it is annoying when this happens. Maybe using a point or two leeway to counteract this problem. So if it’s 7/1 bookies but you have it 8 or 17/2 then take the bet.

The favourite in the above race scores very low. Looking at him he offers very little but as we know the trainers know more than we do .

I’m finding it very hard to put the time in at the minute . Work , family life , one or two other things that need my attention.

Suppose it’s too easy to get carried away in this game . No better feeling when you’re getting winners right left and centre which I’ve rarely done , but boy this game really tests your metal when there’s a long losing run in which I’ve had plenty.

What makes you think that? Obviously there will be bad runs but the evidence so far indicates you’re doing something very right and the horses are backing this up

I’d have left the first race alone as 3 selections but the next 3 where there’s only been 1 selection per race they have come 2nd 1st 1st . A lot of selections to try and pick from but definitely on to something here.

I noticed last night that there was some poor turn outs for the Newmarket July festival. Racing needs a good shake up.

Heard about the incident this morning. Read that the victims husband/dad was in the racing game . He was at Lingfield whilst it was going on . Tragic , just tragic. The nutter who did it needs a slow painful death.

It’s been a lot to take on. Savings gone , Stocks and shares Isa gone , normal account ran right down , other debt on top of that. Talking a lot of money. I’ve now got full control of everything, so slowly but surely I can build it back up. Those bloody slot machines on gambling sites. I had no idea.

I can’t get my head around speed figures. I’m trying to get back into the horses after my wife’s secret gambling addiction basically made us broke and in debt . My enthusiasm has dampened somewhat.
