    Gil Vicente vs Benfica
The Portuguese action extends into the Monday for this weekend's round of games. I'm focusing on Gil Vicente versus Benfica in a 7:30pm GMT kick-off at the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos. The home side are simply looking to consolidate their place in the middle of the table after earning promotion last season and the away side are locked firmly in a two horse race for the title with rivals Porto.
Gil Vicente fans will be happy if their team can just stay up this season. As it stands, Vitor Oliveira's men are doing just that in 11th place and 11 points clear of the relegation zone. Relegation does seem a very unlikely outcome but they'll relish the big games like this because that's what plying Primeira Liga football is all about. Just 1 defeat from their 10 league games at home is a decent return for a newly promoted side. Inconsistent form recently has stunted their progress but they'll just be keen to be competitive here and hold out for as long as possible.
Benfica know a win will take them back to the top of the table. Manager Bruno Lage's side are 2 points behind current league leaders Porto but possess a game in hand. Benfica have won 9 of their 10 away league games this season so they'll feel they can and should take all 3 points from this game. The only issue being is that they've suffered back-to-back defeats. Granted, those losses came away to Porto and at home to Braga but how much will it have affected them mentally? Is the pressure getting to the players?
I think this game is done and dusted. Lage will be demanding a return to form after the two losses in the league to get their title aspirations back on track. I can see a more assured defensive display after a jittery pair of performances. Will we see goals galore? I don't think so. Gil Vicente have shown they are tough to break down at home so they'll make it difficult but the away side will just have too much quality and will be keen to make a point.

    Atletico Madrid vs Liverpool
    Atletico are the kings of draws in la liga and look out of form with only one win in the last seven competitive matches. They know how to get the job done at home but they are playing against Liverpool the best team in the world who are in a sixteen match winning streak. Its is important to note that LFC have kept twelve cleansheet out of the sixteen games. This feels like a typical Liverpool away game where they will be comfortable with a 1-0 or 2-0 win. I think LFC are the favorites here and they will look motivated and feel they can get something more from wanda metropolitano. I fancy Liverpool to win and keep a clean sheet so I'll go with;
    Liverpool win @ 2.40
Liverpool win to nil @ 3.25

    Wolves vs Leicester
The Premier League winter break continues into this weekend with a reduced schedule but that doesn't mean we don't have lots to contemplate. Six matches coming up and our focus turns to the Friday night kick-off at 8pm GMT between Wolves and Leicester at Molineux. The odds contrast the ELO ratings so which way do we call this one between two sides that have had very positive seasons so far.
Wolves currently sit in 9th place but are only 6 points off the pace of the Champions League qualification places. Nuno Santo was being linked to the vacant Arsenal managerial post earlier in the season and it's easy to see why. Recent form has dipped with the club only managing 1 win in their last 6 league games and that has been a theme with their home form too with just 1 win coming from their last 4 home league games. To add further woe to the statistical build-up to this game, Wolves have only won 1 of their last 5 meetings with Leicester.
Leicester continue to exceed expectations this season. Brendan Rodgers has done a terrific job at the Foxes with the club now in 3rd place and 10 points inside the Champions League qualification spots. The Foxes have been stumbling lately with just 1 win in their last 4 league games but they've arrested the blip of two defeats by going two league games unbeaten. Only Liverpool and Manchester City have won more games on the road than Leicester this season.
This one is too tight to call. Neither side is currently hitting the heights that they've hit earlier in the season. Yet they remain two sides that are capable of going toe-to-toe with even the best sides in the division. The most logical outcome for me is a draw. I was tempted to put my faith in the ELO ratings and back an away win but Wolves raise their game against the teams above them and I think that'll see the two teams settle for a point each.

Porto - Braga     19:00h in Portugal
Porto have won 13 of their 16 games in the Portuguese top-flight, including a 2-0 win at their title rivals. In recent games, they have won six and drawn one of their last seven games in the Primeira Liga.
Only Benfica have scored more goals than the home team this season. Their prolific form in front of goal was been on full show of late, as Porto have scored at least two goals in four of their last five league outings.
Porto have been simply formidable on home soil in the Primeira Liga, winning their last 12 league games at the Estadio Do Dragao.
Pepe central defender and Nakajima midfielder are out for the game today.
Braga they need to win points  to go to Europa League . They are currently five points outside the top-four in the Portuguese top-flight.
They had a new coach in 2 games they won both , but is a coach without experience very young .
So Porto is forbidden to loose points because they´re on second place 4 points behind the leader Benfica,  and i think they will win for 2 goals or more.
Porto to win  @ 1.66   ( bookmaker in Portugal i don´t know odds on bet365 because we portugueses are forbiden  yes it´s true to bet on bet 365 )
Sporting - Benfica   21.15h in Portugal
Sporting is my team and tonight as a supporter i´ll be there but without any confidence.  Sporting are 16 points behind Benfica on 4 th place i hate the coach i hate the president and tonight central defender from Sporting , uruaguay international Coates is out  from the game suspended du red card on last game. Also argentinian player and very good player for me the 2 nd best behind Bruno Fernandes , Luciano Vietto is injured and out also .

Benfica have been strong away from home in recent months, winning their last 16 league games on their travels in the Primeira Liga.
The visitors are currently four points clear of rivals Porto at the top of the table, having won 15 of their 16 league games so far this season. Their only blip was a 2-0 defeat against their title rivals in August.
For me tonight e see easy victory for Benfica maybe for 2 or more goals and i don´t understand the odds 1.96 for Benfica victory is crazy for me 1.40 for Benfica it was fair.

Benfica to win @ 1.96   ( bookmaker in Portugal i don´t know odds on bet365 because we portugueses are forbiden  yes it´s true to bet on bet 365 )

    West Ham vs Arsenal
The Monday Night Football game in the Premier League this week comes from the London Stadium where West Ham host Arsenal in an 8pm GMT kick-off. Both of these teams are really struggling for form lately. Another defeat for either side here would certainly set the alarm bells ringing but could a victory be the spark needed to get their season back on track?
West Ham started this season quite positively and it appeared at one stage that they might gatecrash the fight for the top four. Unfortunately, Manuel Pellegrini's men have really dropped off the pace over recent weeks only managing to earn 4 points from their last 8 league matches. The fact they have conceded 18 goals in their last 9 league games shows you exactly where the problem lies. The Hammers have also lost 3 of their last 4 home games. No other team in the top flight has lost more games on a Monday than West Ham.
Arsenal are probably one of the only teams West Ham will fancy their chances against right now. The sacking of Unai Emery has seen Freddie Ljungberg appointed as interim manager but his reign has started woefully with a draw against Norwich and a defeat to Brighton. The Gunners are without a win in 9 matches across all competitions. It is their worst run of results since 1977. That was the year Jimmy Carter was sworn in as US President. No win in their last 6 away league games makes for grim reading. They have also conceded two or more goals in their last 5 matches. Be wary about backing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as an anytime or first scorer bet as well. He might have bagged 8 goals in his last 10 matches for Arsenal but he's failed to score in his last three appearances against West Ham.
Head-to-head meetings show a favour towards Arsenal. West Ham might have won the last meeting but that ended a 7 game unbeaten run for the Gunners in this fixture. Arsenal haven't done too well at the London Stadium though only winning 1 of their last 4 visits and they have failed to score on their last two visits. I really feel Arsenal are in a stinking situation right now. If they were at home I'd just about back them but I really think West Ham will fancy themselves here. I am still cautious of the draw so I won't back West Ham to win outright but their odds are tempting.

    West Ham vs Tottenham
The first Premier League game this weekend is set to be a fascinating one as Jose Mourinho makes a controversial return to the top flight of English football. It's West Ham versus Tottenham in a 12:30pm GMT kick-off this Saturday lunch-time. The home side are on a sticky run of form right now but can they turn things around against a visiting team that star life under a new manager?
West Ham haven't won in 6 league matches now and it feels like Manuel Pellegrini's side that looked so promising at the start of the season have become stuck in a rut. If you look at the games they've failed to win it makes disappointing reading for Hammers fans. Dropped points against Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Everton, Sheffield United, Newcastle, and Burnley. No disrespect to those teams but those are games that West Ham will have felt they should have taken more from. It's now three home league games without a victory and they've lost their last three home games against Tottenham before this game.
Tottenham took the divisive step of sacking the highly-rated Mauricio Pochettino and replacing him with former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Mourinho. It's not exactly been a popular decision throughout football but will it prove to be a shrewd one? Daniel Levy clearly felt something wasn't right and with Tottenham languishing in 14th place there was a need for change. Still, in Mourinho they now have a man that has won trophies everywhere he has gone. Even at clubs he was deemed to have failed at he's still won trophies. So it's easy to see why the bookies are backing Tottenham to win this game.
It's not been a great start for Tottenham on the road in the league. Their torrid away form has carried on from last season having failed to win any of their six away league games. Has Mourinho had enough time to have any immediate influence? I'm not sure. I'm tempted to back a Tottenham win because of how poor West Ham have been but maybe the international break did them some good. I think given the prices flying around it could be worth backing West Ham to get something from this game even if they don't win. Interested to hear the thoughts of our resident Spurs expert, @thfc!

    Norwich vs Watford
The Premier League kicks off on a Friday night this weekend when we see a relegation battle between newly promoted Norwich and bottom-placed Watford in an 8pm GMT kick-off at Carrow Road. Both teams are struggling this season with a grim fight for survival already looking like the most realistic course this campaign. Can one team strike a huge blow to their opponents in this game?
Norwich had started the season so positively. Even though the results weren't as good as Daniel Farke would have wanted, the performances were still encouraging. The highlight being the 3-2 win at home to Manchester City back on 14th September. Unfortunately, it's only been bad news since that game with the Canaries recording just 1 point from their last 6 league matches leaving them 19th in the table. The hope coming into this game is that their only two wins in the league this season have come at home.
Watford took the controversial step of sacking former head coach Javi Gracia and bringing back Quique Sanchez Flores for a second stint in charge of the club. The Hornets are bottom of the league with just 5 points and have so far failed to pick up a win in the league all season. The fact they've lost 4 of their last 5 meetings with Norwich and haven't tasted victory at Carrow Road since 6th August, 2010 only adds to their worries. On the plus side, they were unfortunate not to snatch a draw against Chelsea last weekend but that game was on home turf.
Personally, I think both of these sides are going down this season no matter what happens. It's a shame because I was optimistic about Norwich's chances but they've picked up that losing habit and it's tough to shake. Watford still boast the personnel to keep them up but even for the majority of the game against Chelsea they look like a team completely devoid of confidence and ideas. I actually think that despite being tempted by the draw I think Norwich's home advantage could sneak them this one.

    West Ham vs Newcastle
It's not the easiest week of fixtures for betting on in the Premier League this weekend so I'm starting with a game that I feel offers the best chance of an expected outcome. West Ham host Newcastle in a 3pm GMT kick-off this Saturday afternoon at the London Stadium and they'll be hoping to end a disappointing run of results in the league that has stalled their early season form.
West Ham had been looking like dark horses to gate crash the top four this season but it's now four league matches without a win for Manuel Pellegrini's side. Perhaps the most morale-damaging aspect of this run is that all four games have been against sides the Hammers would have been anticipating that they could take victories in. It's seen the club drop to 10th in the table and 7 points off the top four.
Newcastle sit nervously just outside the bottom three on 9 points and it's now just 1 league win in their last 7 league games under Steve Bruce. It's a sad sign of the times up on Tyneside that this season is purely about survival but with the club having lost 4 of their 5 away games this season it doesn't bode well heading into this fixture. The absence of key players Matt Ritchie, Florian Lejeune, and Fabian Schar through injury and Sean Longstaff through suspension is a big blow. This season is also the first time a Newcastle side has failed to score more than one goal in their opening 10 league matches.
I really can't see Newcastle winning this game. Can they get a draw? I feel these two sides are worlds apart and the only hope the Toon Army have got is by battening down the hatches and trying to steal a 0-0 draw. The attacking talent in West Ham's ranks is a luxury that Newcastle fans can only dream of right now and they'll feel the full force of that on Saturday. A convincing home win awaits.

    Chelsea vs Manchester United
The second huge clash in the EFL Cup 4th Round will be found at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night when Chelsea play Manchester United in an 8:05pm GMT kick-off. These two teams have already met this season in the league where United claimed a fortuitous 4-0 win but the two clubs have gone down two very different form paths since that opening weekend match.
Chelsea look like a very exciting side under Frank Lampard. His faith in youth is paying off but he's keen to keep expectations grounded. It'll be interesting to see if he picks another strong side like he did for the 7-1 crushing defeat of Grimsby in the previous round. As a young manager himself, Lampard will be keen to win his first trophy and he'll see a fantastic opportunity to do that here.
Manchester United have been toiling as of late but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will see this as a nice escape from league action. The Red Devils struggled to get past Rochdale in the last round after a 1-1 draw and winning on penalties by a 5-3 score-line. It doesn't bode well for an away clash against a much-improved Chelsea side who are anticipated to field a strong side.
United hold the advantage in the recent head-to-head between these two sides. It's now four matches unbeaten for them against Chelsea. However, United have only won 1 of their last 11 visits to Stamford Bridge. I think Chelsea could make it a very difficult evening for United here. I can see Lampard picking a strong side and looking to really get some vengeance for that early season defeat.

I think the quality difference is a given, with Inter having a clear lead. Inter has learned her lesson with Parma and is now required to be serious and return to the triplets. Brescia has limited capabilities and has shown with Genoa that she cannot keep the results safely

    Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds
The early kick-off in the Championship on Saturday is a 12:30pm BST start at Hillsborough between two automatic promotion contenders and local rivals Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds in a Yorkshire Derby. The winners of this game have the opportunity to move to the top of the table so there is more at stake than usual in what is certain to be a highly-charged atmosphere.
Sheffield Wednesday are performing well under new manager Garry Monk. The Owls sit in 3rd and are just 3 points off the summit in the division. Monk has only experienced one defeat in the league since he took over back on 6th September. His side have also won 2 and drawn 1 of their 3 home league matches during his reign so far. The matches might not currently be setting the world on fire but they're effective. Just 1 loss in their last 7 league games makes Wednesday a dangerous side to play right now and just 1 goal conceded in their last 3 league games shows their defence is tight.
Leeds were the pre-season favourites to win the league title with the bookies and Marcelo Bielsa's men are showing exactly why they were backed so heavily. The Whites are 2nd in the league table on 24 points and just 2 points behind league leaders West Brom. Results haven't been going great for United recently with just 2 wins from their last 6 league matches. Three away league games on the trot without a win also doesn't bode well for this encounter.
Derby matches are always tricky to call. Wednesday have only lost 1 of the last 4 meetings between these two but it was Leeds who won the last match. The form book slightly favours the home team and Leeds are experiencing their troubles on the road right now. I was thinking about backing the home win but I just feel Leeds have enough about them to take a point.

Once again i'll go with three picks.

    Vojvodina - Spartak

Both clubs are from Vojvodina province so this is a small derby. I already wrote about Vojvodina FC,so i wont repeat myself.
Spartak is a club from Subotica,in the far north of the country. The club has a long tradition but not a trophy history.

Vojvodina has a perfect score on the road, but this is not the case at home. Therefore, they will try to change this already against the Spartak. Everyone in the club saying that the match has to be won, coach Lalatovic returns to the bench,Vojvodina has a better team so I think the home team will win tomorrow.
    Vojvodina AH(-1) @ 1.75  4pt

    Radnik Surdulica - TSC

Although Radnik was founded in 1926, it is a small club that was never significant in Serbian or Yugoslavian football. On the contrary - the club played only local leagues and was almost at the amateur level. However, things started to change in the middle of the decade when a local politician from one of the ruling political parties came to the head of the club. In just a few years,Radnik has risen to elite rank of Serbian football.
Despite this, the team is very averige in terms of quality and without great ambition in the league. They have a score of just two wins in nine rounds.

TSC,on the other hand,is very ambitious project like i said and there's no doubt they are a better side. Still..i'm not that sure they will claime a victory so i'll go with a safer bet.
    TSC DNB @2.02  2.5pt

    Napredak - Crvena Zvezda

Napredak is a club from central Serbia, from the city of Krusevac. It is one of the traditional centers of Serbian football, altough Napredak never actually been a successful club. It is never easy to play in Krusevac because the atmosphere is a bit hostile.
However, as the biggest and most successful Serbian club, Red Star has a lot of fans in this part of Serbia. They will also have great support from the stands.

Napredak's home record this season is 1-1-2 so far. They're able to hold Partizan in 2-2 draw, but lost to Vojvodina 0-2. One of their problems is short roster and because of this they can't really hold their form. Their best striker Ivanovic is injured and therefore doubtful for Sunday clash.

After a big UCL victory against Olympiacos the morale in Crvena Zvezda is really high. Atmosphere is great, team is playing better after a lost against Partizan. Although coach Milojevic will make some changes to the team and rotate players, I expect a strong Red Star lineup and a routine three points for the team from Belgrade. Handicap victory is on the card.

    Stoke vs Nottingham Forest
The Championship action begins early on Friday night this week with two games. I'm picking the televised clash between Stoke and Nottingham Forest in an 8pm BST kick-off at the Bet365 Stadium as the match to preview. These two sides are experiencing contrasting starts to their seasons with the home team desperate for their first win of the league season and the away side looking to push on up the table.
Stoke had appeared to be preparing for this coming season in a shrewd fashion with some experienced Championship signings and eradicating a chunk of the dead wood within the squad. Unfortunately, it's not gone great for Nathan Jones. The Potters have only managed to earn 2 points from their 8 league games so far. Only Huddersfield are positioned below them and even though performances do seem to be improving there is certainly pressure going on Jones to start getting results.
Nottingham Forest fans can't believe how well their season has started. Sabri Lamouchi has inspired his team to 6th in the league table after 8 league games. The opening weekend 2-1 loss to West Brom was the last time the Tricky Trees felt defeat and it's been onwards and upwards ever since. Back-to-back 1-0 victories in the league give the defence a lot of confidence and it'll be interesting to see how the players approach their fifth away game of the season having gone the previous four without loss.
Statistics don't read well for Stoke fans. The draw against Brentford offered a glimmer of hope but will it be a false dawn? The team has lost 6 of their 8 league games and have lost 3 of their 4 home matches. Forest have won 3 of their last 4 matches and with 5 of the last 6 meetings between these two sides combined with Forest's stern defensive performances recently I can see this being a tight win for the away side.

    Blackpool vs Lincoln City
In a rare occurrence, League One action begins early doors this weekend with a game coming up on Friday night when Blackpool face Lincoln City in a 7:45pm BST kick-off at Bloomfield Road. This match sees newly appointed Lincoln City manager Michael Appleton make a return to his old club as he begins his new role with a club that are still reeling from the departure of the Cowley brothers.
Blackpool are a club with a new lease of life after the exit of the castigated and oft labelled villainous Oyston family. Manager Simon Grayson has had a rough time of it at his recent clubs but returning to the club where he first experienced management and achieved such huge success has been a wise decision so far. The club sits in 6th place on 16 points from 10 league games. It puts the team just 3 points off the automatic promotion places.
Lincoln City come into this game under a cloud after their humiliating 6-0 defeat at home to an in-form Oxford United. That result made it three league games without a win for the Imps since the departure of head coach Danny Cowley. Appleton has a huge task on his hand to lift the spirit of the changing room and having only achieved a win percentage over 27% at one of his six previous clubs it's understandable that a certain section of City fans are questioning the decision to appoint the new man.
My immediate feeling is that the momentum is with the home side here. The new manager bounce may well come into play for Lincoln but I'm not optimistic. Cowley created a dynasty at Lincoln but, in the same manner that it happened at Manchester United after Sir Alex Ferguson retired, it will take time to adjust. Blackpool are a side looking good to reach the play-offs this season and they've only lost 1 of their 4 league games at home this season. I think they'll do enough to win this one.
