Gingers (Flat) Winners 08

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 Thanks Kamo. Now the Bunbury Cup. Have not been through the race working out percentages but... I know one of the owners of this horse and he has told me in the past, this horse will do far better on a soft surface. Has run well on good-firm so far this season for his new trainer. 2:35 Newmarket £30 @ 11/1 Mastership

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 2:00 Very few of these have any form on a soft surface but it is not clear yet that it will be that soft at 2:00pm. Doubt if it will be any worse than good-soft anyway. So far this week there has been an advantage to race prominently. Weald Park and Shaweel are the most likely prominent runners here. Hope they do not take each other on. Weald Park was very impressive last time out and stays 7f well. Shaweel was disappointing at Ascot but the trainer is now in much better form. Ignoring that run Shaweel would stand a good chance here. I am a little concerned if it came up soft whether a Dansili colt would act on it.

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08

2:00 Newmarket (addition) £27 @ 8/1 (sportingbet) Classic Blade Bets like this don't come around that often. So have put a bigger than usual bet on. Impressive at Salisbury on good-firm last time but won on good-soft before that. Has a markedly round action usually favoured by soft ground. Stamina might be a problem in the ground but may be able to get a soft lead. Improving and has much better form (at present) than the talking horse Sayif. Who is only that price through home reputation and the trainers winner in this last year. Prolific is a danger, ran well at Ascot on firm. Will he be as good on soft? Got beat on good-soft. Running on at the Royal meeting and should benefit by an extra furlong. Effort is interesting, Johnston was in poor form at Ascot yet Effort ran well, improvement looks likely and has run well on good-soft. I expect Classic Blade to start around half his current price.
What a great call on this one, thanks Ginger Top Man.. Fingers Crossed for some more winners today and ive just seen you tipped Lucarno and Nahood too...Top Stuff

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 Yep, thanks mate, not only £27 at 8/1 but £62 at 6.2/1 Classic Blade. Now for July Cup. Going to take a chance it does not rain too much before the off with Benbaun. Price is worth taking the chance with. Zidane should act on good-soft. £10 each way @ 25/1 (Tote or Laddies) Benbaun (6.5% 15/1) £12 each way @ 20/1 (Fred Done or Bl sq) Zidane (7% 14/1) (24/1 is available (win only) at betfair)

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 Cheers Billy. 7:25 Salisbury £100 @ 2.3/1 Tudor Key (36% 7/4) Have reduced the stake due to soft going though the selection ran well on ground with give underfoot on debut prior to chasing home Free Agent in the Chesham (4th). Surely must have a better than 33% chance of winning this maiden, but am a little concerned about the stable's form.

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 3:35 Chester £100 @ 11/4 (B365) Borderlescott (33% 2/1) Much maligned horse, very consistant but has found one too good so many times. Always a does his best. Not that well drawn but plenty of front runners to make that not such a bad thing.

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 4:10 Curragh £75 @ 7/2 Katiyra (25% 3/1) Was my pick along with Machita at Epsom and both did not act. Moonstone is an obvious danger but will need a strongly run race to show her best (stayer). Did think about backing her for the St Leger but if she wins may not take part. Gagnoa is the other with a good chance, bred to improve at the trip and chaced home Zarkava last time. Can't see Mad about you or Chinese White staying the trip. May come back for one or two savers. Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 4:10 Curragh (addition) £30 @ 5/2 (Paddies) Moonstone (31.5% 85/40) Overall price taken 20/21 must have a better than 51% chance combined. With only Gagnoa considered a real danger (Gagnoa is also value in my book but do not like taking long odds on). Ginge

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 3:00 Retro did well to finish where he did on debut coming from some way back. Hannon is in very good form and his two year olds usually improve appreciably on their second starts. Square Eddie is a big danger having been an unlucky 3rd in a good maiden on debut. But at a time when the trainer's horses were running well, disappointed at Royal Ascot. Auld Arty may be able to improve, pulled too hard at Newmarket over 7f. Back to 6 today, if he is in a better frame of mind may go close for an in form yard. 4:05 Most of these are hold up horses and Flying Applause is usually up there on the pace which may help here. Bit disappointing last time but is pretty consistent and lightly raced. Can improve. Del Mar Sunset looks to be coming in to form and has the best chance if getting a truly run race. Proper ran a good enough race here last time under similar conditions and is over priced (imo). Higgys Boy is an obvious danger but has always found one too good in the past. 4:40 With Ethaara being well backed for his debut the form horse now looks massively over priced. Ethraa could be anything but Haggas has a poor record first time out and R. Hills is usually not hard on them first time either. Though he might not need to. Emerites Lady has good form already, very well bred, seven furlongs may suit more than 8 last time and should improve further. The 6/4 favourite on Emerites Lady's race was Russian Empress, a sister to Russian Rhythem. Did not improve as expected first time up this season but it is too early to write her off. At around 16 or 18/1 looks worth taking a chance on. Ginge

Re: Gingers (Flat) Winners 08 2:35 Ascot £63 @ 5.2/1 Danidh Dubai Have not worked this race out properly but saw her in her box this week and was impressed, seemed to have more size about her than the other two year old fillies. Mick also had a good word for her. 3:40 Ascot £50 @ 6.2/1 Lovelace (17% 5/1) £20 @ 17.5/1 Zaahid (8% 12/1) £16 @ 11/1 Mastership (10% 9/1) Lovelace was given plenty to do at Newmarket, kept closer would've won. Is the obvious one from the high numbers here. Stable in great form. Zaahid ran poorly in the Bunbury but the stable was in poorish form at the time, now better. Ignoring that run and he stands a good chance here. Very good looking horse and course and distance winner. Friend of mine is part owner of Mastership and he is keen on his chances but is worried the ground may be too firm. Ginge
