  1. One bet lost already. Ante-post at a big price on Lucie Safarova, She hasn't turned up, or was beaten in a qualifier, One of the two. Naomi Osaka must be a fair bet to win her quarter at about 4/1.
  2. owenclass - at Betfair Sportsbook odds, a double on the opponents of Kvitova and Kerber pays 42/1 Murray appears to be in trouble already. A set down.
  3. Not even winners. Bet 365 closed my account after only a fortnight, about 5 years ago. I wasn't even winning at the time, but I had beaten the course S.P on every horse bet I had.
  4. Have to scroll left to right to read posts. Tried it on Chrome and IE, both the same.
  5. Not all trainers can have horses for the Classics and Group 1 races. They have handicappers, but as anyone knows, your horse's BHA mark will go up when it wins, but it won't come back down by the same margin if it loses next time out. You need the handicapper to think 'I gave that too much of a hike' so you tell your jockey to run it down the field. There are a variety of ways to get it it beaten, it's not exactly cheating, it's a business after all. Everybody knows it happens, and anybody who backs handicappers to win 2 or 3 in a row won't be winning overall. The all weather courses ca
  6. Trotter, you surprise me. No Betfair account?
  7. Love him or hate him, that was a superb ride that Frankie gave Golden Horn in the Arc on Sunday.
  8. Did anybody else have a bet with Paddy Power on the St Leger on Saturday? I got an email with a 'have a fiver bet get a free fiver bet' offer, I had the fiver on the winner at 9/1. And the free bet also won, at 11/8. Looked in on Sunday morning to find out I had been paid in full.
  9. I'd offer long odds that happening again this year.
  10. Hayley Turner is retiring at the end of this season.
  11. Paddy Power are a shower. I've had 4 accas so far on the U,.S. Tennis Open, Coral's prices were better than PP's prices on all players except 2, which were the same. I can't see where the Betfair Sportsbook makes any money, nobody is going to back anything in singles on there, and the rest of the high street mob are just as competitive with prices for multiples.
  12. Strange day at Killarney yesterday. On the BBC results pages, the Placepot paid two and a half times more than the Jackpot.
  13. Re: AINTREE GRAND NATIONAL > 4:15pm Saturday April 5th Bookies had a right result there. At the 2nd last there were 7 horses in contention, and my mate said 6 of those were bogies for him.
  14. Re: Thursday 3:20 > World Hurdle Time and again at Cheltenham, you need a horse that stays. Even 2 mile race entries need to have won over 17 or 18 furlongs because of the finish here. Just like Sandown, the hill sorts them out. AP had no form over this distance. She may have won over 2m4f in heavy ground, but that's not 3 miles here against a top class field. My original thought was that Big Bucks would return to form here, but with money pouring on a horse with no form over 3 miles, his price drifted, so something wasn't right. In the end I never had a bet, but if I had been at home
  15. Re: Tuesday 2:05 > Arkle Chase Congrats seem to abound for backers of Western Warhorse at 40/1. That was the price AFTER he became a definite runner. The 'Festival trends' site I used narrowed it down to 4 horses. Two didn't run, the two that did were Valdez and Western Warhorse, which was 330 on Betfair one week before the race. The next day it was 370 . As soon as 'those in the know' knew it was a definite runner it went right down to 60. If you fancy a rag, back it on Betfair.
  16. Re: Manchester City v Arsenal > Saturday December 14th Reasoning - I had to, after a dream. Can't call it 'after-timing' as the bet was so small. As I'm not a football fan I rarely bet on it, and when I do, it's generally 3 or 4 home teams in multiples. However, on Friday night I had my first ever dream about football. As ludicrous as it seemed, after dreaming that Arsenal won 9-5, I had to have a small indulgence. :loon I backed 7 goals or more on Betfair at 26.56. I was doing other stuff as I had no real interest in the game, when I decided to have a look to see what was going
  17. Re: Testing Thread 14th September picture of a bus. I live in Newham for years and don't recall a 272 :loon
  18. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread Not read the thread, apologies if it's already been mentioned. I have heard that there is some sort of serious virus broken out in Germany. German trained horses will be stopped from travelling outside the country, so if you fancy one for the Arc, or any other race on the card, or elsewhere, save your money. The word is that any horse who contracts this virus will be put down. Don't shoot the messenger.
  19. Re: US Open 2012 And because of that rumour, I replaced her in my 7 player acca with Julia Goerges, who was the only loser :wall
  20. Re: US Open 2012 Well, it WAS a rumour, she won in straight sets Betfair are not bookmakers Betfair is a betting exchange. therefore they cannot possibly be blacklisted Do you know what you're talking about ? Not being able to access Betfair is not Betfair being blacklisted If you can't access Betfair, they are blocking your country
  21. Re: US Open 2012 Just a reminder for anybody with a funded Betfair account ;) The threads for the U.S.Open started by Studyform can be found on the tennis and chit chat forums, and probably more. The prize money is being donated by Betfair Deadline 4-00 p.m. And on the betting front, there is a rumour that Pavlyunchekova has a shoulder injury
  22. Re: July 16 - July 22 That was diabolical. She won her serve at 3-3 then broke serve to go 5-3 up. Chan fought back to get to 5-5, then it went 6-6 Wickmayer left the court for a mini break, came back and lost the tie break and the set, and then walked off. No doctor or trainer called. I had an acca, she was my last leg. After she lost the first set I settled down to wait for a chance to trade in set 2, but within seconds her price went to 3, 4, 8, 20, 100 and betting was suspended. I was told later that BETFAIR are the only mob that don't void bets after the first set is
  23. Re: Suarez-Navarro V Tatishvilli in the Italia.com open Easy win. Tatishvili got slaughtered in the first set She had the doctor on at the end of the first set, and in the second set. She retired when 3-2 down
  24. Suarez-Navarro V Tatishvilli in the Italia.com open I was watching other matches on yesterday when the commentator said that Tatishvilli had pulled out of the doubles because of illness. Yet she still holds her singles engagement against Suarez Navarro, who is a very short favourite at 1.42 on Betfair, but if Tatishvill is unwell, this must be a bargain price, even as low as it is
