Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 What a fantastic result Duncan. All of us here are really proud of you and are chuffed that you made it so deep into the tourny. It has given us all something to aim for. I hope you and Helen enjoy the rest of the Oz sunshine while you are out there, and I hope you enjoy the cash even more. Best wishes Damian

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 Really proud that you took the stand with AK against the all-in - going for the win, rather than simply trying to limp to the next level with an ever-diminishing stack. :notworthy Hope you both manage to wind down and enjoy the rest of your trip. That temporary sense of disappointment should soon fade away when you think about all that money in your pocket that you didn't have a week ago :ok You did yourself and all of us proud.

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 Wow.:clap I think everything that needs to be said has been covered already. Fantastic performance to make the top 20 of such a premier event, you have most certainly done yourself proud, mate.:clap However, as McG eluded to, the most impressive thing for me, was to make a stand rather than limp into the next pay bracket. That showed cast iron balls. :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy Enjoy the rest of your time in Oz:ok

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 A monumental performance fella and one to be proud of for years to come.:clap I'm sure that there should be some sponsorship coming your way and if Blue Square had anything about them they'd enter you for every leg on the up and coming Poker Tour.:ok And I wouldn't feel gutted about missing the next level as i'm sure you'll make it up,easily, over the next year.:ok Fantastic stuff:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy

Really proud that you took the stand with AK against the all-in - going for the win' date=' rather than simply trying to limp to the next level with an ever-diminishing stack. :notworthy[/quote'] Absolutely :ok I really feared that's what you'd do, especially when I saw your stack diminishing by the blinds :ok It's the right thing to have done, but needed real guts.......

Excellent result Duncan, gutting for the last hand as it could have gone either way, but 19th is a superb result :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum in Last 22 - Gtd AUD $65,000 Back at the hotel at the end of another rollercoaster day, almost brings a tear to my eye to sit and read all the responses in here and to see another couple of '000 views added. :eek Sorry we didn't keep you all up longer and I feared you would be starved of updates as he only played a couple of hands. Frustrating watching today as the table was away from the rail and with all the photographers and TV crew around any view you got was quickly obscured. Then it's all over so quickly and no great fanfare, everything just carries on around you. After a bit of time to himself (including posting on here) I think our little gang of Richard and Alan (Blue Square qualifier) managed to start to cheer him up with a beer or two and a nice meal. Then we've had the shy and retiring Marty Wilson to keep us company again tonight, who thinks Duncan is now an absolute god the way he was unintimidated by anyone he played with. He is already Marty's March story for Card Player Europe apparently (available in all good casinos....;)), he says he's going to try to sort out some WSOP qualifier packages for us at his club, and is threatening to put me into some Ladies satellite. Whether all this comes off or not, he is still a top bloke and Katharine a lovely lady, and they have both gone out of their way to look after all of us. He tells a great story about some bloke who made a string bet.......:tongue2

Can't begin to count the number of times I beat him in MKOP games... Can't begin to count the number of times he beat me in MKOP games!!!!
In the second case, that was probably me playing.;)

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 An absolutely monumental performance by Duncan and I was also impressed that he made a stand with his AK rather than limp into extra cash. What has impressed me the most though is how much support people on this forum have provided, staying up till all hours and some people only getting a couple of hours kip before setting off to work. I'm very proud to be part of this forum, have never come across anything like it on the internet it is truly an Eutopian community that perhaps isn't possible in real life if that makes sense. So just to finish up Excellent result Duncan:notworthy and a big:ok to everyone who have shown him unconditional support.

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 There's not a lot I can add to this thread, other than to say it was an absolute pleasure to be there and see Duncan play so well, and survive for so long with his short stack :clap:clap:clap:clap. A fantastic, and well deserved result that couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (well, couple really, because Helen was right there with him throughout the last two and a half days). And, have to say I'm amazed at the level of support you've all shown at strange times of night - took me fooking ages to read through all these posts :lol:lol:lol:lol I hope this result is an inspiration to everyone on PL to go out and take a shot at winning something big - Duncan has set the bar bloody high, but I'm sure there are others who can do the same :ok

Re: Aussie Millions - Runadrum out in 19th for AUD $65,000 Absolutely amazing performance Duncan. Getting so far in one of poker's majors is something really special. VNH sir. We've been following how you got on for ages in the office and I spent most of yesterday shouting out chip count updates to people. Didn't want to post good luck before though as I think I am the proverbial bad luck charm to PLers in big events - just ask Brian! There is already a story up on the site, and someone will be in touch soon to do a follow up. Many many congrats once again. Alun
