jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends THIRSK 7.15 1M Maiden 3YO+ 10 out of 10 won by a 3y-old. 7 out of 10 won by the top 3 in the betting. 9 out of 9 with a prev run , had ran over 7f or 1m LTO . 7 out of 9 placed 2nd-5th LTO. 7 out of 9 had only 1 or 2 previous outings. M STOUTE has won 3 runnings since '97. 9 out of 10 races that were run on GD , G/ or FIRM were won by a horse drawn 5 or under. A Look at the top 3 in the betting and we can take out the 2nd FAV , ARENAS DREAM who will be running in his 9th tonight. 3RD FAV HINT OF SPRING is trained by GOLDOLPHIN who just can't buy a winner right now , but fits most of the trends . However i have to go for the STOUTE trained GOLD HUSH , 3y-old, ran twice , 2nd LTO at 1m . Only drawback is the No 10 stall .

jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends Cheers guys , hopefully this will a better price [ as long as it wins :lol] LEOPARDSTOWN 2.55 1M2F MAIDEN 3YO+ 9 out of 9 won by a 3y-old 9 out of 9 won by a COLT/GELDING. 7 out of the 7 with a previous run finished 2nd - 6th. 6 out of 7 ran no later than than 35 days previously. 5 out of 7 ran no more than 35 days. Aiden O'Brien has won this 4 times in the last 8 runnings. O'BRIEN'S entry , RED ROCK CANYON , will no doubt start FAV and with the stable record, it must be respected but this will be it's 6th outing !! and i think ,with the 2nd FAV , TIMARWA , a filly and the jt3rd FAV making it's debut ; it could pay to go with PRINCE ERIK - A COLT, ran twice , finished 4th LTO 21 days ago. jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends PRINCE ERIK 1ST @ 4/1 :loon [ - 30p in £ ] :sad Now you would think that would a cause for celebration but no , right now i'm a bit pissed off with our friends at CORAL. Now usually i bet on the net , but as i was going down to the shops anyway ,i decided to pop into the one and only bookies in town ,CORALS, and watch the race , how wrong a decision was that !! Went into the shop about 5 mins before the OFF , PRINCE ERIK drifting from 7/2 out to 9/2 , then hits 5/1 . Thought about it till 30 secs berfore the off-time and put my bet on saying to the cashier i'll take the 5/1 , checked on screen and 5/1 was still on show. Next thing , about a min after, theres a bit of discussion behind the desk and i hear PRINCE ERIK being mentioned and his price on-screen is 9/2. So , as there only 4 or 5 of us there i asked if there was a problem and was told that i was only going to get paid out at 9/2 as they can only go on what their computer screen shows and not the screen displaying the prices. I told the chap that 5/1 was DEFINATELY the price on show when i requested it but he said that they could only go by what their screen showed and that was 9/2 [ by the way there was no problem with the staff here] So onto the race , or so i thought :@ The tv was showing the runners loading up , but then announced that they would be showing the FRENCH 2000 gns alongside the UTT 2.30 [off late ] Then they change to KINSEY greyhounds !! , they show that + UTT , THEN change to LONGCHAMPS and half way through announce that PRINCE ERIK has won !! whooo-hoooo i said to myself [ wrong move] They then show the LEOP race and after that they announce a 30P IN THE £ deduction but have not mentioned why !! With the FAV finishing 2nd i assumed that the 2nd FAV had been withdrawn.BUT THERE WAS NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT over the tannoy as to the withdrawal , and even when the result was displayed they only named the 2 non-runners that were already out and no mention of NO 19 being taken out . So , i trooped up the road, went online and there it was , WD NO 19 @ 2/1. Went back down and collected my [ less than expected returns ] and left. I SHALL NOT BE GOING BACK. Sorry if that was a bit bit long-winded but i was really pissed-off , how come racing is the only sport that can make you feel like that even when you've won :\ BETS - 67 WINS - 31 PLACED - 14 PROFIT - 225.89PTS YIELD - 33.71%
Kanga
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends :nana Another great winner JT :nana Maybe no consolation but you could have taken the early price at 7/2 and still had the reduction enforced. Bookies like mug punters - regulars who have no plan and pick selections on the fly - that's why they have huge amounts of information scattered over the walls and keep the TV volume down. Alarm bells obviously rang with them when a punter walks in with a prepicked selection and has the savy to get the best price. Look on it as a compliment. jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends Your right KANGA , if i had taken the 7/2 it would have been a lot worse . I 've calmed down now anyway and hopefully found a winner at WINDSOR on Monday. 8.00 WINDSOR 1M2F MAIDEN STKS 3Y-OLDS 8 out of 10 were either 1st or 2nd FAV. 8 out of 10 were COLTS/GELDINGS. 10 out of 10 had ran at least once , finishing no worse than 7th. 9 out of 10 ran at a distance no shorter than 1m LTO. The 6 with an outing this season ran between 8-25 days LTO. 7 races have been run on GD or better going and in 6 of those ,horses drawn in the bottom half won [ the other was drawn 9 from 17]. The 2nd FAV , KAILASHA , is a filly and 3rd FAV COMMANDMENT has no previous racecourse experience. That leaves us with the probable FAV , WESTER ROSS , a COLT , ran twice , finished 6th LTO 21 days ago at this course [ 3 other winners had also ran here LTO] . Again , the only doubt is the draw [ 11 of 16 ] but hopefully the recent rain will help.

jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends SALISBURY 3.25 + 4.00 FILLIES MAIDEN 1M2F 7 out of 9 were in the top 3 in the betting. 7 out of 9 had a previous run , none more than twice . 6 out of 7 ran LTO over at least 7f. 6 out of 7 finished no worse than 6th LTO. 5 out of 7 with a run ,were making their seasonal debut's. M . STOUTE' record is 4 winners, 3 second's , 1 third and 1 unp from 9. The 3.25 see's the 1st div of this maiden and again STOUTE sends out a horse with good credentials in the shape of DANCE OF LIGHT , ran once last season , finishing 5th at Newmarket over 1m However it could face a stiff challenge from OMMADAWN [ same trends pattern] but the STOUTE factor gives the FAV the nod 4.00 div2 - A look at the top 3 in the betting and we see that the 2nd+3rd FAV'S will both be having their 5th outing of their career's , so that open's the way for M STOUTE'S ETERNAL PATH . 3rd LTO when making it's seasonal debut over 10f [ the 1st+2nd in that race went on to finish 2nd+3rd in the LINGFIELD OAKS TRIAL] it must have a good chance here. Both will short odds unfortunately .

jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends 2.45 NEWBURY 1M GROUP 1 STAKES. 9 out of 10 in the top 3 in betting. 9 out of 10 were either 4 or 5 y-olds. 8 out of 10 were entires. 8 out of 10 were making their seasonal debut. 6 out of 10 had won at GR 1 level. No winner has won the following year. STOUTE trained winners = 3. Godolphin trained = 3. This should center on the STOUTE/GODOLPHIN trio of PEERESS , JEREMY + RAMONTI. PEERESS won this last year and is now a 6y-old + mare so thats 3 negatives. JEREMY has had 1 run so far , and only won at Gr 2 level - 2 negatives. RAMONTI fits the bill as a 5y-old entire, won at Gr 1 level and is making his seasonal debut. Godolphin seem to be getting the winners lately so fingers crossed. jtw1
Re: JTW1's Specialisation - Trends MONDAY - WINDSOR 6.40 5F COND STAKES 8 out of 8 were in the top 3 in the betting [6 favs] 7 out of 8 won LTO. 7 out of 8 were colts/geldings. 7 out of 8 had ran at WINDSOR /N'MARKET in at least one of their previous outings. 6 out of 8 had ran no more than 10 days previously [ others- 20+21 days] GROUP THERAPY , has a FAVS chance but as this will be it's 4th outing and with the RP F/Cast 2nd FAV [CAKE] being a filly , the selection falls on ENODOC , a colt , ran twice and won LTO , first outing was at WINDSOR . Only neg is that it ran 16 days ago [ as did the fav , 2nd fav = 15 days ]
