I'd much rather invest in good quality shares. currency is based on nothing but belief though and the fact we have to pay taxes with money to support its use and give the gov and corps. more control over our lives. it has to fall at some point and gold standard has been surpressed too long. there is also massive transfer of wealth going on from older generations to their sons and daughters meaning more money in system. letting house prices inflate is not enhancing our lives its gotta fall some point too. banks joke just want to speculate into housing whole system is messed up scary times. think the green bank was a good idea in some ways from labour but media surpress such good ideas. The rich just get richer, I wouldn't allow people to earn the gross amounts that they do. There again, I am from the socialist republic of South Yorkshire ! I want to sell my house and blow the money on good living whilst we can, not so sure the wife is convinced, she wants to pass it on as an inheritance.
