This can be difficult for the RP because they quite often have two (or more sometimes ) runners with the same rating. I subscribe to Napchecker so I usually see the the RP chosen one but have to wait until after 7.30 am in the morning to find out. Mulling over an offer from RP for 50% discount on 3 months sub. I'm interested, how do you work out your speed ratings? I'm assuming you're not sitting there with a stopwatch timing every horse..... Zilzalian Posted August 27, 2021 Share Posted August 27, 2021 I was asked this by another member, i replied, if i published or revealed they way i do something (same for every successful system) the bookies would soon latch on to it and use it, all systems irrespective of what they are if successful will eventually be unsuccessful due to their popularity, the bookies will adjust to take the value out of them this is why i never recommend anyone follow published ratings and tipsters. However, i will tell you this, unless you are prepared to put the hours of work a week that it takes to even just do speed figures for 2yo's you will never be successful long term with speed figures. All the information you need is in the results section of the racing post daily (even the free version online) or if you want them weekly the RP weekender out every weds so you don't even need to watch a race let alone have a stopwatch. Footnote here the "fun lucky 15" experiment i have been putting on here this month is not speed based just the occasional selection in them.
