Garbage today, nap on the AW, whats the world coming to????

Team Meeting NAP 8/11 Paddy Power
Saeed Bin Suroor has his horses in good nick and he should add to his tally of winners here by taking this contest with the once raced 3yo Team Meeting. He won last season on his debut here over 5f in good style and the trainer has wasted no time in putting him straight into a handicap off a very lenient looking mark of 70.

Pontefract 4.10 : Great Hall @ 10/1 bet365 e/w thanks

Great Hall...from Mick Quinn yard the 7yo has won four times from 1m 2f to 1m 6f on ground varying from good to firm to soft , The yard ran him 18 days ago at Lingfield AW 1m 4f when he finished 4.5 lengths behind Abareeq when fourth of 8 runner in his first run since November last year,

The yard bring him back in distance to 1m 2f when he did back to back wins in September and October last year at Epsom good and Nottingham soft , the handicapper gave him a 8lb rise to 103 which he's ran off last three races but has been finishing better each race and runs of that mark today with William Carson in saddle

2.00 Lingfield: Maiden Stakes

Favourite Eagle Creek looks hard to beat if ready to go on his seasonal reappearance. He ran well on debut last season but was put away subsequently. He's destined for better and this race is most likely only a stepping stone.

From a good family by Raven's Pass and Listed race placed dam Blue Angel, a half-brother to listed race winner and multiple Meydan winner Viren's Army, he should be too good for this lot at Lingfield.

The All-Weather surface is unlikely to pose a threat and connections must clearly feel he's here to win as Atzeni comes for only this one ride and his record in Lingfield maidens when he's having only a single ride on the day is marvellous

Selection:
Eagle Creek @ 2/1 Bet365

4:00 Lingfield
I have spent time trying to figure out how Born To Finish could be beaten in this one. He is well ahead of the rest of the field, the only runner who maybe has the potential to challenge him is Ballesteros. At any rate he is the only one capable of offering any opposition in this race although he has stamina concerns so against a big finisher like Born, it is potentially optimistic opposition at best.

BALLESTEROS - 1pt Win @ 11/1

4.10 Ponty

COTE D'AZUR @ 7/1 Fred

A few of these would have been better on softer ground a think, the selection rattled up a four timer in the summer last year with three of those wins coming on good or faster.  His best performance however was probably in the Silver Cambrideshire where he finished second but led the group home on his side of the track, he's only 2lb higher today.  Stays well so this uphill finish is fine.  Slight concern that he will need cover especially from the outside draw so will need a bit of luck coming through horses here.  Buick is an interesting jockey booking having never ridden previously for this shrewd northern trainer.
