6.15 Wolverhampton

Youre Cool got up in the last stride last time out at Chelmsford, this race looks as though it could be strongly run again however he isnt the obvious sort to back that run up.

Burren View Lady needs to be taken very seriously, ran best race for sometime by along way last time out around here over 6f, drops back to 5f having looked badly in need of the drop back to 5f. Only 1lb higher today and is still dangerously well handicapped on course form 10lb below last win around here. Not had many tries at 5f but appears to have plenty of pace and could prove hard to reel in in the straight if getting her own way. Well drawn in stall 2 aswell.

1pt win Burren View Lady 7/2 hills

2.50 Uttox - Benny's Well - win at 5/1 bog PP

Handicap chase over 22 and a half furlongs

My selection was well beaten on seasonal debut but tends to come on a bundle for his first run

If he is race fit today he should have a good chance - course winner, trip fine, last 2 wins on soft ground

His last 2 wins have been off this handicap mark. Can front run which might be a good tactic in this small field

 Cheltenham 2.25: Cocktails At Dawn @ 16/1 bet365 e/w thanks

Cocktails At Dawn....from Nicky Henderson yard the 7yo been a winner in hurdle race and two chases from 2m 3f to 2m 5f on good ground also a handful of place finishes in the 11 rules races also had 1 PTP , The yard have took their time with horse and finished last season off with a Novices' Handicap Chase .at Sandown 2m 4f winning by 26 lengths last April. He came out after a summer break at Chepstow 2m 3.5f in another novice chase where he made all to win by 3 lengths , Those two wins came for Nico de Boinville who's took over from Barry Geraghty as stable jockey

3.10 Lingfield - Maverick Wave win @ 8/1 SkyBet

Probably has some of the best form in this having won a group 3 three runs ago. Its safe to assume that he was out of his depth last twice in the Arlington Million and then the Champion Stakes at Ascot but he's dropped in class markedly to a listed event today so should find this much easier. He likes it here and is 3 from 4 at Lingfield with two of those wins coming over C&D. It could be very hard to give weight to the fairly unexposed Lets Go who got to within a half length of Tryster lto, but I'm hoping Maverick Wave can show his class in an easier race and win.

 1.15 Cheltenham

An intriguing little six-runner affair in which the Pipe yard won last season with the useful Kings Palace. This time round they have Un Temps Pour Tout lining up but the yard are out of sorts at the minute and I’m not fancying the skinny prices on offer. A better value bet maybe Blaklion, he was slightly disappointing on his chasing debut but is a course winner and the trip will suit him much better this time.

Selection: Blaklion 5/1 bet365 (Un Temps Pour Tout)

1.50 Cheltenham: Handicap Chase (Grade 3), 3m 3F 71Y

Some interesting horses in this race but I feel it's worth a punt to go with still unexposed Knockanrawley. A seven year old who has done pretty well as a fresh horse in the past, he could be on a lenient mark. He won off 6lb lower a big Handicap Chase at Newbury last December and he's one who won't have an issue staying the trip today, although 4m 1f seemed a bit too far after all on his final start last season, albeit he was far from disgraced in 4th in the Eider Handicap Chase.

This trip today looks ideal and the arriving rain shouldn't be an inconvenience. In fact he is two from three in good to soft. It'll be only his seventh start over fences and the testing Cheltenham course should work in his favour - for a red hot yard and jockey I feel he is a big price.

Knockanrawley @ 14/1 Paddy Power

2.25 Cheltenham - Irish Cavalier @ 11/1 StanJames

Irish Cavalier was really impressive the last day when beating the re opposing Art Mauresque and Henryville who looks a very promising chaser. He only won that by less than a length but Townend pretty much but the brakes heading to the last likely with a view to this race. The ground is ideal, he has Cheltenham form and I still think this one is ahead of the handicapper.

C2.25 Generous Ransom 20/1 Bet365

Bottom weight and progressive with a course win, it all points to value here for this 20/1 shot. The horse also finished 3rd of 20 to behind Irish Cavalier on its last visit here and the horse reopposes on 15lb better terms here so surely must be competitive off this low weight in ground that is becoming increasing more testing.
