500 Brighton: Goodwood Moonlight 9/2 Hills William Knight sends this one to Brighton today no doubt for the local members to see it run. Finished second last time out which was an improvement and the first time visor must have helped. Dropped to a very reasonable mark and ought to be taking advantage of it in weak races such as this. If the visor works for the second time he can take this.

4.30 Brighton: Class 6 Handicap, 1m Improvized deserves one more chance – down to a career lowest mark off 48 with potentially soft conditions very much to suit at her preferred Brighton where he has course and distance form from last year off higher marks – she is clearly one, who judged on her best, will appreciate the rain, and if she could somehow find something of her three year old form, she rates a huge chance in this field. Improvized @ 7/1 Bet365

Kemp 2.15 - Mailce - win at 14/1 bog bet365 Class 6 handicap for 3yo plus Going for the one of the lightly raced ones here. She did nothing in 3 maidens although they were all at top tracks. Nothing much in her first 2 handicaps either First sign of promise was last time out in a handicap at Lingfield finishing 3rd beaten just over 2L. That was her first run on the AW so maybe the surface suits her Same mark today and extra furlong should help. It often pays to stick with the 3yo in these all aged races in the second half of the season, particularly over the longer trips. The WFA scale appears to favour them.......eg getting 9lbs today

C5.05 Danny O'ruairc e/w 40/1 Betfred This horse hasn't shown a great deal on the racecourse, but on breeding this longer trip and softer ground should suit (as should the course). The trainer tried upping the horse in trip last time out over c&d but the ground wasn't soft enough and I'll give it another chance at this price. He's been mainly running the horse over too short a trip or on too fast ground (and he's even tried it in a Group 3 race !) so with conditions likely to be in its favour, this bottom weight might just outrun its price.
