3.20 Southwell - Noble Citizen 1pt win @ 8/1 Coral On turf I would say Jamie Spencer is the perfect jockey for this horses hold up style but at Southwell you don't really want to be too far back. This race is full of Southwell specialists and it's quite tricky to pick one out. I have gone for Noble Citizen who finished 2nd in this race last year to Frontier Fighter and should go well again this time around. His record is 3 from 4 at Southwell with his only defeat coming in this race. Frontier Fighter is in abysmal form coming into this race compared to last year but I still wouldn't rule out a bold defence. That being said I would much rather take a chance on the 10 year old Noble Citizen who has had a recent pipe opener at Kempton to put him spot on for this. Both David Simcock and Jamie Spencer have excellent strike rates at this venue with most of those victories probably coming when teaming up. This ride will be Jamie Spencer's only ride of the afternoon at Southwell so they must think they have a chance with this horse. He is getting on a bit now but he did show a few runs ago that he still retains plenty of ability when winning a 3 runner race at Newmarket against higher rated rivals. I think he is worth chancing here with the usual suspects in David O'Meara and Michael Appleby not exactly firing at the moment.

Re: Nap of the day Wednesday 25th Newton Abbot 15:40: Echo Foxtrot @ 9/1 bet365 e/w thanks Echo Foxtrot.....from Claire Dyson yard the 6yo came to yard in November 2013 and has ran 11 times for yard with only two 2nd place finishes at the start of this season NH racing In fact this season its started to show signs that a win may be round the corner as it shows in its last race 26 days ago at Doncaster 2m ½f good in Novices' Handicap Hurdle off 85 with Trevor Whelan in saddle, Jockey Trevor Whelan keeps the ride and with it being a bit softer than last race should help as it done its best runs on soft and heavy going, still off 85

Re: Nap of the day Wednesday 25th Southwell 3.20 - Dubai Hills (e/w 12/1 Bet365) Back from a long lay off but loves Southwell and is a real specialist around here with 7 of his 10 career wins coming at this track. Does need to show more then He did last season on the flat but a return to Southwell given his strong course form could see him up his game.

Re: Nap of the day Wednesday 25th S2.20 Show Me The Bar e/w 66/1 Bet365 There's a lot of runners in this maiden than had had a run or two which negates the worry about being wary of backing horses being saved for low handicap marks. This trainer is having a poor season but a few of his have been running better lately and he has a terrific strike rate at the track. I also like the swithc in jockey to a decent 3lb claimer and the horses sire stats suggest the horse should appreciate this course. The place money looks up for grabs in this and this horse might just offer the value.

Re: Nap of the day Wednesday 25th 3.20 Southwell - 1pt win Noble Citizen @ 9/1 (BetVictor) Isn't getting any younger but held his form last year and looks a big price for this race, in which he was second last year. His last two runs haven't been anything great but should come on for his last outing and the return to these conditions are ideal. Yard is in form and is three from four on the fibresand - with that effort last year being his only defeat. Clearly this has been a target and hopefully can bounce back.

Re: Nap of the day Wednesday 25th 17:45 Kempton Swendab 9/1 StanJames The selection scored over course & distance here 2 runs ago. Disappointed over 5f at Lingfield & 7f at Wolves since but a return to 6f at Kempton on a more reasonable mark looks to be in with a sniff.

Re: Nap of the day Wednesday 25th 3.10 NA: Golden Chieftain 9/2 Coral/Lads Formerly very useful chaser and won at the 2013 Festival off 132, now dropped down to 124 after a poor season but faces his weakest field here for a long time and could quite easily bounce back under todays conditions.
