Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 15th July 2014 Thirsk 7.10 - Petella (1pts win, 14/1 Bet365) Petella comes into this off a back of a poor run lto at Doncaster when sent off a 7/2 shot but was a well beaten 4th of 6 so needs to bounce back but I can forgive a poor run and liked her run when second two runs back at Redcar. She has two wins at this 2 mile distance (the most in the field) and is only one of four in this race to have won over today's trip and she was placed third on her last run here at Thirsk. Expect her to be well held up and hopefully come late to challenge!

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 15th July 2014 2.15 BATH (Class 6 - 1m3f½ Handicap) CAPTAIN OATS @9/4 (bet365 #BOG) Fascinating horse who broke his maiden tag at the age of 11 at the 34th time of asking just one month ago here at Bath. The most incredible part of his story looks like the fact he's experiencing the best form of his career right now, when usually flat horses are enjoying their time in their stables far from the stress of competitive racing. He's rated 60 and will act as topweight in this very weak race: his experience at the track (course and distance winner, along with 2nds in 4 apps here) should be a major plus today and he'll also enjoy the benefit of 3lbs less in the weights due to the fact he'll be ridden by Rosie Jessop, a very nice app lady rider with great skills and who loves today's conditions. At the price he's worth a try.

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 15th July 2014 8.00 Killarney: Ted Veale 4/1 Skybet Awful racing today so forced to look at Killarney and pleasantly surprised to find a decent quality race scheduled for tonight. Ted Veale who won the County Hurdle and has also ran well at the Festival over fences lines up for Grade C chase and that will do for me especially with Barry Geraghty booked to do the steering.

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 15th July 2014 16:30 Beverley : Whispered Times @ 11/2 William Hill Whispered Times.....from Tracy Waggott yard the 7yo is a distance winner but has tumbled down the ratings to 59 but last race was its all time low of 57, That last race was here 11 days ago where it finished 2nd beaten by 1/2 length a race it was leading in final furlong but had no extra near line in a Selling Stakes race, A change of jockey today with Joe Fanning in saddle and hopefully its had a bit of stamina work to get it to finish out the race mare strongly,
