Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Chelsea lost 3-2 away to Stoke in December when they were going through a bad patch and conceding too much. The winner came in the 90th minute for stoke. The match was characterised by a few ridiculous decisions made by Chelsea players to invite danger and pressure from the opposition and the crowd. The performance then was far worse than recent performances have been. However Chelsea since then are much more consistent both results wise and in defence. Chelsea have won their last 5 at the Bridge in all competitons recently beating Man Utd 3-1 and are full of confidence. They won't forget the Britannia match and will want some get-back. Meanwhile Stoke have been terrible on the road. 1 draw and 4 losses. Conceding 4 to Everton, 5 to Newcastle, and 3 to Spurs. So importantly Chelsea are at home in this fixture which for me rules out the chance of a Stoke win or draw and leaves the question: By what margin are the Blues likely to win? The answer to this will be in the team news. If Mourinho doesn't deviate too much from the established 11 then Stoke could be in for a hiding. He has already been quoted in the media as saying "it's time for Demba." :lol Indicating that he was originally going to play him vs Man Utd but opted for Eto'o at the last minute based on how he expected Man Utd to play (seemed to have worked OK). Other than this I don't expect him to make too many changes which would threaten progress in the cup. I think this competition is useful to him as insurance if he doesn't win the EPL. He can then say that the "work in progress" is coming along nicely and show the Cup as evidence of that. Anyway the striker Mourinho plays is just for aesthetic value as we all know the attack is all about Hazard, Willian and Oscar. These are the 3 players I will wait for to see if they start. If they do then I'll bet on Chelsea - 1.5 AH @ 1.70 Bet Victor Stoke have a fairly important one away to Sunderland midweek and realistically aren't expecting to go through here. In contrast after this game it's at home again for Chelsea this time to West Ham. Enough said. It's a balancing act between waiting for news on starting 11 and whether prices move up or down during the week. Good luck :ok

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th For me i think Swansea are a good Choice. Birmingham not that good in Form with a 3 Game-Not Winning Streak. So Swansea also with 1 Win in last 9 Games but they´ve playing against the whole Top Clubs in PL. So i think for Laudrup and the whole club is this Game the right choice too take out some Motivation for the next Games. The Price for Swansea is good and maybe Swansea are becoming 3 Players back after injurys. Shelvey, Hernandez and Dyer maybe on Bench or Starting Line Up.

Shelvey' date=' Hernandez and Dyer maybe on Bench or Starting Line Up.[/quote'] They did play each other in the League Cup and Birmingham ran out 3-1 winners, albeit that was in the middle of their early Europa League campaign. Depends on what team Laudrup opts to stick out. That would demonstrate how seriously they're taking it. The cup can be a great leveller sometimes so it depends on team news for me. I'm leaning towards Southend at home to Hull. Southend have made getting beat very difficult, especially at Roots Hall. A lot depends on what team Steve Bruce puts out but Premier League survival has to be the priority for them. Southend are doing well under Phil Brown and should be at full strength. They look likely to be in with a shout of going up this year so 6s and 7s does them no justice, and Hull @ 1.5 is a poor price IMO.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Southend United @ 5 - Betfred V Hull City. Southend United + 0.5 @ 2.05 - bet365 V Hull City. This is the absolute minimum for me as Southend have understandably come in a bit. Hull are now without defender James Chester after he was ruled out for six weeks. Strikers Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long are cup tied, and midfielder Tom Huddlestone is suspended. Interview here with Steve Bruce talking about the game - There will also be a sell out at Roots Hall with over 10000 tickets sold, as well as the fact Phil Brown faces his old club. Southend I would expect, should be at full strength for this tie, and are very tough to beat at home. Reading the jist of Steve Bruce's comments, he's sort of intimating that changes will be made, with maybe a few squad players coming in. They should be of decent enough quality to beat Southend but a lot of the Southend squad have played at a higher level and will most likely be in League One next season so I don't believe there is that big a gap between the two sides.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th 4pts Arsenal (-2.5AH) to beat Coventry 1.97 Bet365 If we ignore last season’s defeat to Blackburn when nearly everything was going wrong for Arsenal they actually have a decent record against lower league opposition and for all Coventry’s endeavour this should be a relatively comfortable night for Arsene Wenger’s men whoever the Frenchman picks. Coventry have nothing to lose and will give it a go but this Arsenal side are full of confidence and I expect them to win this by a few goals. Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Is Kidderminster 12.00 (coral) away to Sunderland worth a small nibble? Sunderland will (rightly) be on a high and celebrating reaching the league cup final, and I wonder if this one might come around too quickly for them after a draining night midweek and a very important match against Stoke next Wednesday. Seems likely that Poyet would rest some of the league cup players and Kidderminster won't be lacking in motivation, or confidence after beating Peterborough in the last round. The 1.22 for Sunderland is a touch short I think.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th 4pts Bournemouth (+1.5AH) to beat Liverpool 1.85 Ladbrokes Liverpool may well be stronger than we would normally expect them to be in these circumstances but I still think they are ripe for a bit of an upset here. They’ve struggled to come past lower league sides under Brendan Rodgers. They went out to Oldham last season and needed extra time to see off Notts County in the Capital One Cup earlier this season. Bournemouth have nothing to lose. They have lots of goal power in their side and I think they’ll give Liverpool a tough game here if not actually beat them. Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th

What about Nottingham home win today?
Forest should win as they're the higher placed club but remember their win over West Ham flattered them. A team of school kids could have beaten that West Ham side and although there is one division between the two sides Preston could easily be participating in the same league next season and are probably man for man better than some Championship sides and equal to others. So I think the odds are fair in Forests favor but wouldn't rule out a shock - no bet for me.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th not much to get out of arsenal game... was lookimg at arsenal to score first goal after 18th minute @ 2.20 ...as arsenal might field out mix of young ones and with bentner up top, what might take a while to open coventry and arsenals defensife pairing ( nomatter which combination ) should be too solid for coventry... but i`ll go for a goal to be scored from the 81st minute to the end of regular time @ 2.37 with paddypower, 10 % of my betting fund... no matter what result will be at that stage of game... goal is very likely at emirates especially, in cup game and youngsters involved , be it still tight and any team needs anything, or be it big gap and game over , but to give a last shot and impress wenger from arsenal`s youngster`s side or any coventry player to get their own trophy as to enjoy and score in rare events for club to play at emirates.. as well as with likes of gnabry ox to run away with a break if arsenal leeds by then... it`s a cup game, in last minutes or you have nothing to loose anymore, or you go for last shoot...don`t see arsenal "sitting out" last ten minutes purely defending either at home :) yeaahhh... i see arsebnal very strong team out with players to look for "impress" i am taking another bet first half handicap arsenal - 1 @ 2. 40 with paddypower, 10 % more ... big hopes for me on this game :hope

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Very strong team from Arsenal: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Gnabry, Podolski, Bendtner. I'm going for Podolski to score 2 at odds of 3.00 (Coral). Should get lots of chances tonight and looked absolutely desperate to bag a goal when he came on a Fulham last weekend. Definitely will be trying to play himself back into contention tonight.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Sunderland v Kidderminster There is a five division gap between the sides, but I think Kidderminster are decent value here at 13.0. Sunderland will be on a high after knocking Man United out of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday. Kidderminster won at Peterborough in the last round after drawing the first game at home. I think there's a good chance that Sunderland will find it hard to deal with the reality of playing Kidderminster after the euphoria of beating Man United. Gus Poyet has said he'll be making a lot of changes for this game, and reminding everyone that his priority is staying in the Premier League ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25789220 No specific tip, but it's a game I'll be following in-play with interest.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th 4pts Everton to win to nil 6/5 Ladbrokes Everton will need to be on their guard here because Stevenage have previous when it comes to giant killing but as long as they don’t underestimate the League One side I expect the Premier League side to come through. The Toffees are pretty strong defensively while Stevenage aren’t always the most fluent scorers so the 6/5 on Everton winning to nil looks appealing in this match. I think this is definitely a good bet. Liverpool have been brittle away. In addition they have two major injuries which have really depleted the squad. Lucas and Glen Johnson are mega injuries and will force Liverpool into a different style of play. They would like to play Gerrard further up , but he really has to play as a holding/defensive midfielder. It limits their creative abilities, and makes the gap bigger between the front men and the midfield. In addition they are starting to feel the pressure of trying to make 4th spot and Champions league. Man United are strengthening (will get Rooney and Van Persie back for the 2nd half of season), and may just make another marque signing before the window closes. Man U, Everton and Spurs will push them very hard for that spot. So they have to treat this FA game as less important. Another factor is that they play Everton on Tuesday which is an monster game. They can't afford any injuries, and will have to rest players where possible.

Mackem fans have been all over the Harriers fans' website (in a very good natured way), and the following likely Sunderland team plus comments has been suggested: Poyet has said in his interviews that he will make changes after the Man U game goign all the way. However it will still be a strong team as he doesnt want to disrespect the cup or you guys. I think we could see -----------------------Ustari ----- Celustka--O'Shea (maybe)--Vergini--Dossena --------------Larsson---Ba---Gardner ---------Giacarini---------------Watmore ----------------------Altidore I i hope you dont see that team as disrespecting as we will still have 7/8 internationals playing aswell as 7 players who at the start of this season/ in the past were starting for us.... Giac was playing for Juventus last season and should be playing for example.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Too be honest I don't know much about Bournemouth but that Liverpool XI looks very strong and I imagine they'll want to put this game out of reach by half time so that they can make some subs and play at a lower tempo in the second (with an eye on Tuesdays derby). I like both -1 half time Asian at 2.3 and -1.75 Asian halftime at 4.4 (both b365). Liverpool has done well in first halves and they certainly have enough fire power in that XI to score a couple goals early

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Bolton v Cardiff. Not sure why the premiership Cardiff are bigger odds to win than Championship side Bolton. OK, Bolton at home but I think they have won 3 games at home all season. Cardiff had a good away result in the last round at Newcastle and I expect them to take this game seriously despite their obvious priority of staying up. New manager looking to get some momentum and 2 new players likely to start and keen to make an impression. At odds of around 2.88 I see value in a Cardiff win or Cardiff win, draw no bet at 2.10 maybe the way to go.

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th 3pts Sheff Utd to beat Fulham 7/4 Ladbrokes Sheffield United showed their upset credentials in the last round when they went to Villa Park and took advantage of a weakened Villa side to come through and I see no reason why they can’t do similar here. Fulham will rest their star players for this match and their confidence as a squad will be fairly low going into the game so this is a situation Nigel Clough and his players can relish. I’ll take them to repeat their third round success here. disappointing and scabby result 2 - 0... sounds like no one got it ... neither +1.5 neither overs neither - 2 ... ffs one more goal, any goal, would of done the world of good

Re: FA Cup > January 24th - 26th Man City XI: Pantilimon; Richards, Demichelis, Lescott, Kolarov; Navas, Rodwell, Touré, Lopes; Agüero, Dzeko Watford XI: Bond; Faraoni, Doyley, Angella, Ekstrand, Pudil; Anya, Battocchio, Murray Forestieri; Deeney. no much to reason here, man city very strong line up, will be looking to done deal quickly so - 1 first half @ 2.29 with paddypower. 10 %... if it doesn`t go trough then i`ll strike at half time another handicap bet...
