Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown)

I was under the impression that the defending champions team were staying together to defend.....Helen's title:)
:lol Bart, yes, it was the intention to keep last year's team, but was going to rename us slightly as Punters Lounge Champions. :ok I just need to confirm our 6th player as Mark had to drop out and transferred his seat to robbiebox. Was going to invite Jon in as a straight replacement but there will be a spare place if he is sorted elsewhere. I'll deal with registration for us :ok

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Team draw has now been made :drums Draw was made this afternoon by my friends little boy Jack who gets to keep the pack of cards used as a thank you. :ok Full details shown in post #2 above, but teams drawn quoted here for convenience:

Punters Lounge A 1. * Senshi 2. Fenner 3. LuckboxNemo 4. Washman 5. raassskkkk 6. tbc (via wurzel133) Punters Lounge B 1. *McG 2. Haichan 3. AA_Hall 4. LordPalica 5. tharabbit 6. tbc (via burnleyjoe) Punters Lounge C 1. * 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
The numbers are irrelevent and are just the order that names were drawn. There are no team captains as such, unless you all agree to elect one. You don't really need one, you all play as individuals with the collective score counting towards your team. Could Senshi & McG please be responsible for gathering the names of your teams players and ensure that you register your team before the start of the event next week and notify Grosvenor of any changes (or delegate responsibility by mutual consent to one of your team). Details & link to register your teams are provided in post #2 ** Please confirm back in this thread when completed so that all your team know it's been done. Other team members please ensure that you have pm'd Senshi or McG your real first name & surname (the name that Grosvenor holds). If you have fewer than 50 forum posts you will be unable to send a pm, in this case please post your name in this thread so they can pick it up. It can be removed by a mod after being seen if you request it in your post. There are a couple of unallocated seats remaining, burnleyjoe & wurzel will confirm what will happen to these in due course. Any remaining players coming forward will be allocated in the following order: (1) fill in any gaps in an existing team (2) be added to the next available team, eg. Punters Lounge C, Punters Lounge D etc. As always, if you have any questions, any changes, anything I've missed or any complaints... blame little Jack...... no I'm joking :D, just shout and we'll try to sort them out in good time. Best regards, Bart

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Pm sent to all those affected with the exception of Senshi & tharabbit where their settings don't allow me to send. Senshi, please either update your settings to allow the receipt of pm's from your team for team registration purposes, or liaise with them via this thread. Many thanks.

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Could mine be passed on to someone else to do as I haven't reached the required posts quite yet to sort it out with PM's, am nine off it at the moment if the golden target is 50. I did try to get them activated and been told I have to get this amount of posts. Failing that will set up a new thread.

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Team A is registered with the list of names I was given last night. Team Name "Punters Lounge Team A" This is my first event where I have been pre registered and when I turn up do I just say my name and I will be on the list? Just if I have to take ID my full birth name of Tony Mullen Pattison is on it rather than just Tony Mullen is this likely to make a difference?

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) You should only need ID to enter casino - whatever name is on your gcasino account will be they name use for your seat draw. I have a feeling dealers asked for ID at the table last year, but even if they do Mullen is in both so won't be a problem :ok

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Does anyone know why this years schedule is different from last year. Last year their was a day 2 and the final on day 3. This year it shows a day 3 and the final on day 4 which makes little sense as I cannot see their being more than the 1750 entrants we had last year.

The more the merrier :ok Please liaise with the other Team B members via this thread, alternatively we can always start a "Punters Lounge C" team. We sent 2 of the 85 teams that signed up last year, sending 5 or 6 teams this year would be great :clap @Haichan: Pretty sure I read somewhere they were looking at retaking the European record with up to 3,000 entries this year. Think they might struggle to reach that though with numbers currently lower in other tournaments, clashes with other events, knock on effect of Olympics/holidays etc but time will tell. PL will be there in force helping to spread the word, that's the main thing ;)

Has team B been registered yet.
Don't think so yet, haven't heard anything from McG, he may be away. Can I ask you to pick this up please Kev, just to ensure it doesn't get overlooked. Just need to liaise with Wurz regarding his friends name, Saxevest & tharabbit have already posted above in the thread. Although I'm probably not going, I'll sleep easier knowing everyone is sorted ;) If any other PL members are going, shout out and we'll start to fill up another team :ok

Hi Jon, We've already got you down as part of the "Punters Lounge Champions" team as understood Mark (Pokerpad) couldn't defend his win from last year and passed his seat onto yourself. Hope this is ok, any problems just drop either myself or Avongirl a pm, cheers. Have pencilled your friend into "Punters Lounge C", the 1st of a team of 6 as all existing teams seem full at present. We will try to get others to join him if possible and/or he can be first reserve should someone in an existing team be unable to make it on the day. Be good to get him to sign up to Punters Lounge too, so he can join in the fun and future promotions etc ;)

Nice one mate, get him signed up on here. I've also just put out a last call on Twitter, as there may be 1 more existing member with a seat that has yet to join a team.
