Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown)

3 Day 1's (Weds, Thurs, Fri), Day 2 Sat, Day 3 Sun, Final on Day 4 Monday. :ok
Brought this up last month and still there seems to be some mistake somewhere here. The GUKPT Goliath page event structure http://www.grosvenorukpokertour.com/en/Goliath/Events-Schedule/ has it down as above for four days, but the blind structure page http://www.grosvenorukpokertour.com/Goliath/Goliath-Blind-Structure/ has it down as a three day event :wall 3 days seems to make more sense to me looking at 40min clock and 12pm starts, cant see it running to 4 days.

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) As per runadrum, the opening post and Grosvenors own schedule, would suggest that you assume it's a final on the Monday (Bank Holiday) as Grosvenor were looking at attracting between 2,500 and 3,000 players as opposed to 1,765 last year. If it finishes on Sunday, you have an extra day to spend your winnings, simples ;) Clarification on which friend is which would be great please Wurz, getting confusing with 2 teams still to register and little time left. Many thanks.

I've been given 2 names. Wurzel said it was "alexis wlardyck" but Joe said it was "ray wilding, username sparra", who bought his seat. Need Wurzel to tell us asap which is correct.

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown)

Ray Wilding is registered in Team A so that should mean it is the other guy.
Thanks Senshi. Only list I have seen of team A shows friend of Wurzel only. Can Wurzel confirm name for Team B is "alexis wlardyck" as his PM to me said he was unsure of name and told me to check with Joe which is why we have had the confusion.

Suggest going with it Haichan, to avoid the whole team missing out. You can always email any last minute changes via the contact details shown in Post #2. I've updated the teams in Post 2 based on best knowledge at this stage. Additionally, Punters Lounge Team C has also now been registered but currently as a team of just 2 players. Will happily add in the 3rd of Wurz's friends and any other members wishing to enter, upon receipt of their full name. Please pm these directly through to myself Bart(UK) here on PL or send me a tweet on twitter to @EnglandBart. I will do my very best to get these included in time, however cannot be held responsible for notifications/changes at this late stage. Good luck everyone, will try to rail your various exploits wherever possible :hope

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Received email confirmation today with useful info if you need to make any team changes :ok I've bolded the paragraph about correct names, so could everyone check that their GCasino registered name tallies with the name submitted by the captain of their team.

Hi team captain, Thanks for registering your team for the Goliath - Day 1a is nearly upon us, so if you'd like to make any last-minute changes to your team, please let me know either by email, or in person at the G Casino at the Ricoh Arena - I'll be by the entrance from 11am on all three start days. Just a couple of notes regarding teams: You can only be in one team for the whole event - even if you re-enter on a different start day, you're still part of the original team throughout. Team participation needs to be referenced by the CardRoom Magic system - this means that as a member of a Grosvenor casino, the name you'd be on the system with (e.g. usually 'Robert' rather than 'Bob' etc.) will need to be the name on your team's listing as otherwise points might be missed out! Please email me changes any time if you think this might affect your team. Points are only awarded for in-the-money finishes, and will be posted up with the chip counts when the tournament gets past its first days. Over 150 players have already signed up for the Goliath Team challenge, and we expect around 400 to take part, with the winners receiving a $1,000 private tournament, and GUKPT Main Event seats for the top team's top 2 scorers. Good luck in Coventry, Jen [email protected]

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Watched a bit of the Feature Table earlier when Greengrass on heartbeat was on. After that break I came to see a guy with a black shirt with Grosvenor logo on, a guy with Grey hair? I know Punters Lounge have shirts with the Grosevenor logo on was it likely to be one of the PL players?

Re: Goliath - The Team Challenge (Summary of PL Teams defending our crown) Just looked on the text link thinking I'd catch the end of the day's play and it seems to have finished just after 11.00.

Day 1a is in the books, players are now bagging and tagging. It appears Bill Wallace is overnight chip leader with 430,000 and that roughly 84 players have made it through to Day 2. They, along with the survivors from Day 1b and Day 1c will come back at noon Saturday.
Earlier we posted that there were 399 runners today and indeed that is/was correct. However, as this is a re-entry tournament players can re-enter today should they bust and if they do it’s counted as a separate buy-in. So the total number of entries into the prize pool today was 457 as 58 players chose to re-enter once they had busted. Got it? Good.
I'm a bit confused by this, rules said you couldn't re-enter on the same day. :unsure
