International Friendlies > 2012

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 CFR Cluj played yesterday using mostly bench players against Al Hilal. They can play now in this formula: Felgueiras – Pinto, Cadu, Maftei, Sepsi – Deac, Muresan, Godemeche, Valente – Sougou, Kapetanos which is probably best line up for them. Will write on site line ups as soon as possible!

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 4pts England vs Italy - Under 2 goals 2.02 Ladbrokes You get the feeling this is a match nobody wants to play in and that is no surprise. Both sides only finished their Euro 2012 campaigns 6 weeks ago and the squads picked by each manager would suggest this isn’t a priority fixture for either nation but it will be played and for me the best bet looks to be for there to be under 2 goals. Neither side has their best attacking options out and I expect this to be very much a ‘going through the motions’ friendly with lots of changes and no real tempo. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/england-vs-italy-betting-expect-a-low-scoring-game-between-england-and-italy-out-in-switzerland 4pts Scotland vs Australia - Both teams to score Evs William Hill Both these sides have a real goal threat in them and I wouldn’t say either are completely tight at the back. Australia look particularly light at the back to me so I see both sides scoring in this match. There’s no doubt in my mind that both sides look better going forward, at least on paper, so both teams to score looks to be a good bet in this game. Re: International Friendlies > 2012 3pts Bosnia-Herzegovina to beat Wales 17/10 BetVictor Bosnia are a lot better than their friendly results suggest and they could well be worth supporting in this match. Chris Coleman hasn’t yet got to grips with this Wales squad and mould them into the style of play he likes and with the goal threat of the likes of Dzeko coupled with some good competitive performances Bosnia-Herzegovina look like the bet to me. Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Belgium - Netherlands Pick: HT/FT 2/1 40 @ Tipico This might be worth a (little) shot. Due to the nature of the Belgian-Dutch relations, the Belgians will be highly motivated for this game. Even though it's only a friendly, Brussels's King Baudouin Stadium, which seats 46,000, is completely sold out (of which purportedly only 4000 tickets went to Dutch fans). Also, the Belgians are very aware of the quality of their current squad and definitely smell blood after the dramatic Dutch exit at the Euros. Seeing how beating the Dutch is an itch they've been waiting to scratch for a long time, I expect the Belgians to go at it and keep going at it till the final whistle. The Dutch would normally be less motivated, but as it is their first game under a new coach, they have something to prove as well. New Netherlands Coach Van Gaal said he will field his strongest team in the 1st half of his maiden game. In fact, he already gave us his starting line-up: an offensive minded squad with two attacking midfielders (Sneijder & VDV), and two true wingers (Robben from the left, and last season's 'King of the Assists' of the Eredivisie, Luciano Narsingh, from the right) who will, I think, match up perfectly with true centre-forward (last season's Bundesliga topscorer) Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Playing two wide playing wingers will create a lot of space up front and would be difficult for any team to defend against, with Vincent Kompany missing, this might prove especially too much for the Belgian defense. However, Van Gaal has said he will use this friendly as a practice match, and will field a younger squad in the 2nd half, which will include several players making their debuts. This fact, combined with the Belgian will to win tonight, makes a HT/FT worth a (again: little) shot. I emphasise only a little, because it is, after all, just a friendly. And also, the Belgians, I must add, have shown to be lacking a true killer-instinct before. And the Dutch, needless to say, are also very capable disappointers.

B&H go into the match without the services of (playmaker and one of the best players) Misimovic, while Edin Dzeko is a major doubt due to knee injury. According to some of Dzeko's comments ahead of this match, he might take a part in the starting lineup, but he still feels the pain and the injury's very tricky. Wales have got plenty of pace up front(Bale, Bellamy, etc...), plus Chris Coleman prefers attacking footy, so there should definitely be some goals tonight.

De Vrij, Indi and Viergover will enter into defensive line in the second half and it's a chance for Belgium. So I agree with you and this is a good bet for this kind of (friendly) match. My Serbia should beat Ireland, but very hard to find value there. Netherlands / Belgium @36 bwin min stake

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 4pts Finland to beat Northern Ireland 13/8 Skybet Northern Ireland have lost their last six matches, the latest three without even scoring. Admittedly two of those opponents were Italy and Holland who are a level above Finland but either way confidence can’t be high at Windsor Park. Contrast that to Finland who have won three of their last four matches and who should be arriving with their confidence high particularly as Turkey are in their list of victims. Not really sure I agree with you on this one mate. Coleman has selected a strong pool of players and on paper it looks a managers dream to have that many players with so much talent in one team. Wales really picked up under Speed and granted they lost their last 2 friendlies but fielded under strength teams, but as I say they picked up big time. Bosnia on the other hand may not be as bad as there recent form suggests but their recent form has been poor and that can't be discounted. One thing I will say though is that Wales look a little light weight at the back but I still think they'll win.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 4pts Republic of Ireland/Draw Double Chance vs Serbia 21/20 Bodog I can’t be backing Serbia at odds on here even if Republic of Ireland have left a couple of experienced players at home. This run Serbia are on is quite poor and I fancy Shane Long to enjoy playing against this Serbian defence which is still without Nemanja Vidic. Although Ireland were well beaten in the European Championship they are still a capable side and I think they have more than enough in them to pick up a result of some kind against an out of form Serbian side. Re: International Friendlies > 2012

De Vrij, Indi and Viergover will enter into defensive line in the second half and it's a chance for Belgium. So I agree with you and this is a good bet for this kind of (friendly) match. My Serbia should beat Ireland, but very hard to find value there. Netherlands / Belgium @36 bwin min stake :(
Scoreverloop: 1-0 (20’) Christian Benteke 1-1 (54’) Luciano Narsingh 1-2 (55’) Klaas-Jan Huntelaar 2-2 (75’) Dries Mertens 3-2 (77’) Romelu Lukaku 4-2 (79’) Jan Vertonghen

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Friendly game Barcelona Vs Sampdoria pick : away win @ 10.00 Barcelona are playing tonight their first game in the Primera, so tomorrow they will play with second team. this is the last friendly game for Sampdoria before the start of Serie A, so they will play full squad. Too much value in the away win !!

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Brazil v Iraq Brazil -4.5 AH @ 4.65 With Brazil not having to qualify for the 2014 World cup friendlies will be the big chance for players to stake there claim and grab a place in the side. With the squad Brazil have taken for this game, I can see nothing more than a really comfortable, big win for the brazilians. Kaka will be eager to impress after being left out for the last two years and with his experience he can only bring out the best of the Brazilian youngsters. For Iraq I feel this could be more of a defensive training match for them, they hardly play the 'big' teams like Brazil and they don't look as if they even have a chance to qualify with the likes of Austrailia and Japan in there group. With the expected line ups here it looks as if it's a 4-2-2-2 for Brazil with Iraq playing the old school 4-4-2 which tonight will most probably be the old 10 men behind the ball, but with Brazils attacking talent they should break the Iraq defense down pretty quickly which should open the flood gates for a few goals. Expected Line ups: Brazil: Diego Alves Adriano, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, Marcelo Paulinho, Ramires Kaka, Oscar Hulk, Neymar Iraq: Gassid Rehema, Shakir, Samal, Abbas Samer, Akram, Munir, Khalid Mahmoud, Karim

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Here is the call for the week in the friendlies markets: Colombia - Cameroon, international friendly, Wed. 17 Oct, Barranquilla,Colombia Cameroon are experiencing the worst shock in the last years. They got eliminated from CAN from a small island nation of Cape Verde. Now, just a few days later, they travel far away to Barranquilla to face Colombia. You can imagine how low their mood and motivations is in the moment. On the other hand, Colombians are flying high now. They are performing great in the qualifiers, possess the best striker in the world at the moment plus plenty of other high-quality players, and they are solid as rock on home soil. Despite the friendly character, the stadium in Barranquilla will be full and "burning". I see a very motivated home team beating heavily the guests. Colombia @ 1.50 (bet365) Colombia -1.5 (odds not released yet, expect them to be around 1.90-2.00, based on the straight win price).

I would urge caution, 5 of the starters in the Paraguay match at the weekend aren't in the squad including Falcao and James Rodriguez (Porto), Zuniga (Napoli) and Yepes (Milan). Don't know what kind of squad Cameroon are sending though, might still be worth a punt, odds look skinny for a friendly though.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Japan v Brazil Brazil/Brazil HT/FT @ 6/5 Ladbrokes Brazil-1 Handicap @ 13/10 Paddypower I'm going to try and not base these bets on Brazils last 2 friendlies that i've watched but just a couple of points from those 2 games. Against China and Iraq, it has pretty much been attack v defense and this has definitely given Brazil a chance to work on building up teamwork and giving the team time to gel. They have run out clear winners in both of the games, 6-0 against Iraq (could have been 10) and 8-0 against China (could have been 20!) but what has stood out for me is the desire from the Brazil players, all of them are trying to prove why they should be starting on that pitch on home turf in 2014 and for me there attack is most probably the best in the world. Now, don't get me wrong I don't class Japan as a bad team, they have always been a team that is pretty tough to beat and also have some good attacking players themselves but the form all of the Brazil players are in, I just really can't see Japan coping with everything that Brazil are going to throw at them. I'm expecting Kaka, Oscar and Neymar to just run the show here, they know competition is tough in the Brazil squad at the moment with alot of youngsters waiting in the wings for anyone who underperforms, Kaka knows this better than anyone, the transitions within this Brazil team over the last couple of years has been immense and I think during all friendlies before WC 2014 there is alot of money to be made backing Brazil in the build up, mainly on handicaps. Expected line ups: Japan Kawashima Uchida, Yoshida, Konno, NagatomoHasebe, Endo Kiyotake, Nakamura, Kagawa Havenaar Brazil Diego Alves Adriano, David Luiz, Thiago Silva, L. CastanPaulinho, Ramires Kaka, Oscar Hulk, Neymar Match is being played in Poland.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Also worth noting - most Brazilian players play in Europe. Even those who play in Brazil have traveled to Europe a week ago, since they had a friendly with Iraq. In contrast, most Japanese players play in the local league and had a long and exhausting travel to Poland.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012

That obviously changes everything cause these're the best Colombian players. Where did you get this information from by the way?! I was searching the net and could not find anything about line-ups.
Best starting place is usually wikipedia, they tend to have the most up to date squad lists for national sides. Doesn't always, but usually the best place to go.

Have followed will 5 points on -1.0AH at 1.71 (betv), think the bet is sound. Brazil obviously have no qualifiers to play so are taking every friendly seriously, thats some forward line whichever way you look at it. Don't think Brazil are unbeatable by any stretch but Kaka is in a bit of form and Oscar looks to be a great prospect then two of the best attackers around in Hulk and Neymar. Japan are unbeaten in the last 8 games so will provide decent opposition, Kagawa might be swapped for Honda in this game apparently but thats only on soccerway so hardly reliable.

Re: International Friendlies > 2012 Finishes 4-0, great call hebert.. Didn't watch much of it as I'm supposed to be working ;), but Brazil's players were far more competitive than you would expect a country like them to be in a friendly match, Japan looked too attacking to me with three offensive players and they got caught out too often. Wish I had taken them on bigger handicaps now!
