I'll take Bingtao to beat Gilbert today. Both men are in decent form but it's Bingtao who I think will come through. I think he has a great chance of going far in this event. I'll also take Wakelin +2.5 against Selby. Wakelin is playing some great stuff and already has beaten Selby this year. I'll take that bet in an accy.
5.5pts Bingtao to beat Gilbert 10/11
1pt accy - Wakelin +2.5 / Bingtao / King -2.5 / Over 5.5 frames Hang Vs Brecel 9.5/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)

This Paris masters has a very strange court surface. Very slow and low bounce. You can see that players can't get used to it, especially the speed. The ball stops in the court, and when you miss you miss early (ie, you have already hit it, and it is not quite on the racquet), and drag the ball cross court. Tiafoe, Bautista Agut, Basilshvilli, Fognini (maybe injured) all out due to this weird carpet surface.
The Fognini v Fusocovics match was just a horrid, error strewn mess. Even Djokovic struggled against Fuscovics who is confidence drained and playing poorly.
Schwartzman got past Millman yesterday in a 32 game match that had 17 (yes really) serve breaks. That's insane.
It looks very difficult to hit somebody off the court (or serve them off the court).
SO I do like the Norrie match up with Opelka who may not get the serving assistance he is used to.
Monfils is simply playing fab tennis. He is a basketball player, or a middle distance athlete with a racquet in his hand. He will take a lot of stopping here, and should be way to good for Mannirino.
I think Rublev and Tsistsipas may just struggle today. The court will mess them up, as it takes some getting used too. I expect one of them to lose or both their matches to go 3 sets.
Schwartsman playing a much tougher opponent in Giron, and I expect him to lose as well.

I like Li Hang to beat Carter @2,63 (Bwin) as value bet.
Carter isn't playing that well to be such a favorite.

Once again not a whole lot screams out today. One I do like though is Jamie Clarke to beat Mark Joyce. I laid Joyce last week against Jiankang and despite 3-0 up against Jiankang, Jiankang went on to win. Joyce was awful in reality and didn't hit one 50+ break. He hasn't won a match since the Championship League (P5 L5) and he's hit 2 50+ breaks in those 5 matches and it was against Surety.

Page won easy in the end then. Should have tipped it up. Tomorrow's matches :
10am :
Hamilton Vs King
Yupeng Vs Georgiou
Bingyu Vs Highfield
Jianbo Vs Mann
2.30pm :
Carter Vs M'O'Donnell
Brown Vs Ursenbacher
Gould Vs Yee
Bingtao Vs Woollaston
7pm :
Pagett Vs Anda
G.Wilson Vs Lam
Perry Vs Hallworth
Higgins Vs Wakelin
Main one I like tomorrow is Jianbo to beat Mann. Jianbo looked good last week, only losing out to Walden and Gilbert. Has also beaten Highfield 4-0 and McGill this season. I fancy him to beat Mann, who despite hitting some form at the NI Open and beating Haotian and Kyren Wilson, he hasn't keep that up in the next couple of matches. Losing to Reanne Evans 4-2 and Lilley 5-1.
5pts Jianbo to beat Mann 4/5 betway

1pt accy - Hamilton, Bingyu, Jianbo and Ursenbacher 12.5/1 betway

One of the weakest players on Tour, but this is more a value bet against Hawkins. They played against each other earlier this season, Hawkins won with 4-1.

A good start then with 3 out of 3 and money back on the accy. +14pts. Tomorrow's matches :
10am :
Jamie Jones Vs Pengfei
Xintong Vs Hill
Zhengyi Vs McLeod
R.Williams Vs Ferg O'Brien
2.30pm :
Dott Vs Donaldson
Brecel Vs Pinches
K.Wilson Vs Haotian
Lloyd Vs Sijun
7pm :
Grace Vs Page
Maguire Vs Carty
Hawkins Vs Boiko
Murphy Vs M.White
I won't be having a great deal on tomorrow as there isn't too much value in my opinion. In the 10am matches, I like Zhengyi to beat McLeod. We saw only last week how good Zhengyi is playing in the beating of Un-Nooh and Lu Ning, players both deemed better than him. McLeod is a journeyman player really and despite the odd decent performance you normally get a similar kind of level. Despite that, I'm quite disappointed that he's such a favourite when you look at the difference in ranking positions.
I'll do a 10am accy for tomorrow and then we'll go from there. I do like the look of Page against Grace but I thought Grace looked alright against Gilbert last week and so more research needed but for now I'm going with this :
2pts accy - Jamie Jones / Zhengyi / R. Williams & Xintong -2.5 frames 5/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)
Euro Masters +14pts

-4pts today then with just King beating Ding @ 5/2 thanks to some questionable shot selection from Yupeng. Tomorrow's matches then :
10am :
Slessor Vs Jianbo
Gilbert Vs Grace
Peifan Vs Vahedi
Bingtao Vs Zifan
2:30pm :
Davis Vs Craigie
Stevens Vs Doherty
Pinches Vs Astley
Carty Vs Selby
7pm :
O'Sullivan Vs Vafaei
Hallworth Vs Higginson
Wenbo Vs Evans
O'Brien Vs Hancorn
Two that I like tomorrow and first up it's old boy Barry Pinches to beat Astley. Annoyingly, I was tempted to back Pinches to beat Jamie Jones but I didn't in the end and ofcourse he did and with 3 50+ breaks against a guy hitting 2 centuries and 2 50+ breaks and he still won. Astley beat Holt from 2-0 down to win 5-3 but his one break above 50 was his biggest (51) and he's coming off of the back of 1st round exits at the Scottish Open (4-1 Lee Walker) & the NI Open (4-2 A.Taylor)
The second bet in the evening will be Hallworth to beat Higginson. Hallworth is abit of a streaky player but he's in decent form at the moment and Higginson is the opposite. 4-0 whitewash against Gould at the English Open, and a 4-3 loss to lowly ranked Ajaib 4-3 at the NI Open too. He also went out in R1 of the British Open to make it 3/3 from the start of the season. I will also take Hallworth on a handicap in an accy
4pts Pinches to beat Astley 13/8 skybet
6pts Hallworth to beat Higginson 5/6 betfair
--------------------------------------------
1pt accy - Pinches, Hallworth -1.5 frames, Ferg O'Brien & P.Lei 14/1 betvictor

A frustrating day really. Brown 2-0 up just thought he was Ronnie or Trump and going for anything. Next thing you know he's 4-2 down. Rubbish! -2pts for the day for me. Onto tomorrow.
10am :
Ajaib Vs Highfield
Lisowski Vs Pagett
McLeod Vs Ning
Un Nooh Vs Zhengyi
2.30pm :
M.White Vs N.Robertson
Lichtenberg Vs Walden
Yize Vs Brecel
Anda Vs Jiahui
7pm :
Carter Vs Milkins
Walker Vs Haotian
Allen Vs Burden
Akani Vs Judge
There isn't a whole lot I like tomorrow. Isn't a great deal of value out there. I'm going to take Fan Zhengyi to make the Un-Nooh match close. I was tempted to take Zhengyi at 4/1 as I think that price is way too big but they're offering +2.5 handicap at better than evens and so I'll go with that. Zhengyi is a good player and he scores well. Un-Nooh obviously also scores well but if he's not on it, he can be very hit and miss. I'll also take Jiahui to beat Zhang Anda. Anda got a few nice breaks against Woollaston but Woollaston was pathetic and his form is just nowhere at the moment. I think Jiahui will give Anda a completely different kind of game.
4pts F. Zhengyi (+2.5 frames) to beat T. Un-Nooh 5/4 888sport
6pts Jiahui to beat Anda 5/6 paddypower
1pt accy - Zhengyi (+1.5 frames) / Yize (+1.5 frames) / Jiahui & Walden 16/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)

Yang beats Hendry easily enough. Few early nerves or it could have been a whitewash. Jiankang also wins and thanks to 3/4 of the accy coming in, it's money back on that. Wilson was biggest disappointment for me, tonight. +4.5pts today.
tomorrow's line up :
10am:
Woollaston Vs Anda
Dott Vs Jiahui
J.Wilson Vs Yize
Bingham Vs Brecel
2.30pm:
Trump Vs Hamilton
Guodong Vs Yang
Hawkins Vs Georgiou
Jiankang Vs Steadman
7pm:
Lichtenberg Vs Lam
Walden Vs Page
Brown Vs M.White
N.Robertson Vs Patrick
I think it's time that Woollaston gets a win tomorrow. He has Zhang Anda and the price is too short for me but he will go in an accy at the end of this preview. The two I will take tomorrow is Brecel to beat Bingham firstly. I see this as abit of a 50/50 match and so 6/4 on Brecel is just too big for me. The other bet I like is Jiankang to carry on his good form and go and beat Steadman. Steadman was pretty poor against Ng Yee but it could be this weird effect where men do very poorly against Woman in sports ? perhaps the pressure!. Yee should have won.
4pts Brecel to beat Bingham 6/4 paddypower
3pts Jiankang to beat Steadman evens paddypower
1pt accy - Woollaston, Brecel, J.Brown & Jiankang 11/1 paddypower (money back if 1 loses)

Shapovalov vs Karatsev
Anyone know why Shapovalov is favourite here? He didn’t look good in San Diego against Fritz and especially Norrie, and had a walkover against Pospisil.
Karatsev’s been hitting the ball well recently and I feel he should be slight favourite against an out of sort Shapo.
Karatsev @ 2.15

Impressive stuff from Gary Wilson. Beats Jordan Brown 4-0. Allen and Bingtao through in the outrights. Allen hit a 147 in the 4th frame. Ronnie looks bang on in and ready to play this week and so he looks a cert to go deep. +4pts on the day.
A couple that I like tomorrow but I'm waiting on Hawkins result on one of the afternoon matches. I'll mention the 2 that I do definitely like the look of though,
Ali Carter is the first, he takes on Haotian in the morning and I fancy Ali to win -1.5 frame handicap. Carter found a way to go out of the Scottish Open to Ken Doherty despite being 2-0 and 3-2 up, he lost 4-3 but he managed to hit 5 50+ breaks and is most certainly in some decent form. Haotian has lost 3 of the 4 matches he has played this season and despite only losing to Day on a deciding leg, he isn't scoring anywhere near to Ali's level. They've met twice and Ali has won both and I think he will have enough to do it with a couple frames to spare.
The other one I like is James Cahill to beat Ferg O'Brien. Cahill looked in good form in the last round here, beating Chang Bingyu 4-2 and hitting a century and 2 50+ breaks. He's beaten Lee Walker since then and comes into this match against Ferg O'Brien, who is in decent form himself. The fact that Ferg also has some form means I'll take Cahill in a 4-fold with Oliver Lines and the handicap bet on Carter and Sijun.
3pts A. Carter (-1.5 frames) to beat L. Haotian evens paddypower
1pt accy - A. Carter (-1.5 frames) / Y. Sijun (-1.5 frames) / J. Cahill to beat F.O'Brien / O. Lines to beat B. Woollaston 15/1 paddypower

An interesting event in which the last 3 years have been the EXACT same score and the EXACT same 2 finalists in a row. Trump has beaten Ronnie 9-7 three years running in this event, which i suppose is an interesting fact before we start.
We've had a real lack of snooker recently but we're now in for a sustained period of play. We have this event followed by the German Masters and then qualification to the Masters, all in October. We then have the English Open at the start of November and the UK Championship at the end.
I'm looking at the outright draw and there are a few I'll give a chance.
2pts e/w M.Allen to win Northern Ireland Open 18/1 paddypower
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
1pt e/w D.Gilbert to win Northern Ireland Open 33/1 paddypower
1pt e/w Y.Bingtao to win Northern Ireland Open 33/1 paddypower
1pt e/w A.Carter to win Northern Ireland Open 50/1 paddypower
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
0.5pts e/w Z.Yuelong to win Northern Ireland Open 70/1 paddypower
0.5pts e/w R.Walden to win Northern Ireland Open 75/1 paddypower
0.5pts e/w M.Gould to win Northern Ireland Open 75/1 paddypower
0.5pts e/w G.Wilson to win Northern Ireland Open 100/1 paddypower

Maria Sakkari to beat Anett Kontaveit at 1.85 with Pinnacle
Going on Sakkari again. She's looked like the best player of them all this week to me. Kontaveit was handed the finals on a silver platter by Kvitova, this will be much harder. I'd have Sakkari at around 1.7.

Maria Sakkari to beat Jelana Ostapenko at 1.80 with William Hill
Ostapenko looked rather average against Blinkova despite the scoreline, definitely not hitting any heights. Obviously, Sakkari hasn't played in this event yet, but she looked good in the US Open and has something to play for as well. It's mostly a bet against Ostapenko though.

English Open qualifiers get started tomorrow. 6 days of qualifiers for the event, which gets underway November 1st. Looking through the qualifiers, over the coming days, there are a few I like the look of.
I've gone against 3 chinese guys here and partly that's just the form of the other guy. It's also a matter of distance that these guys will be having to travel and past results at the British/English events. I think Devlin has a chance against Stevens at small stakes. I'll also chuck in a point accy.
5.5pts D.Dale to beat C.Bingyu 8/11 paddypower
5pts J.O'Connor to beat P.Junxu 4/5 paddypower
6pts O.Lines to beat Z.Anda 5/6 paddypower
2pts P.Devlin to beat M.Stevens 7/2 paddypower

Nikoloz Basilashvili to beat Jenson Brooksby at 2.97 with Pinnacle
Well, Brooksby is good, but he's coming here after a tiring week and Basilashvili always has that upset potential. All about the odds here, Basilashvili at almost 3.00 is hard to pass in this spot.

Steve Johnson to beat Taylor Fritz at 2.35 with Pinnacle
Taking this with Pinnacle, wouldn't be shocked by Fritz retiring. Anyway, Fritz looked good against Nakashima, way better than expected, but let's not take things for granted. Playing a second match in two days can take its toll if his fitness isn't there, which it shouldn't. Also, Johnson tends to fare well against guys with big serves and has a good record against both Isner and Fritz himself.

Cori Gauff to beat Elise Mertens at 1.83 with Pinnacle
Mertens lost here first match on grass, while Gauff is yet to play on the surface. This will actually be her second grass court season and the first one was fantastic, so chances are that she'll continue her RG form here. She lost against Krejcikova in the French Open, no shame in that. Her aggressive style is a better fit for the surface than what Mertens brings to the table, she only needs to keep her UE count low, just like Tomljanovic. It's a similar match-up, after all.

Cid Subervi to beat Huesler at 5.31 with Pinnacle
Wimbledon Qualification
Subervi has never played a match on grass as a professional while Huesler has only played 4 matches on this surface and he has only won one of them (1-3). That victory was in Antalya in 2019 and it was against Ante Pavic (7-6, 6-7, 7-6), a doubles player whose best ranking ever on singles is 132 (2014). After that, he lost easily against Aragone (6-1, 6-4). The other 2 matches he has played on grass are from this year. He lost in 2 sets against Tiafoe in Nottingham and then he lost in a 3 set match against Peniston, a 25 years old player whose best ranking ever is 359. Subervi is 13-14 this year while Huesler is 11-18. It's true that Subervi has never played a match on this surface but Huesler has only played 4 and his results are awful. Both players' best surface is hard, they have a similar ranking and they only have played once before, that was in 2018 and Subervi won in straight sets (7-5, 6-2). IMO this match can go either way so I'm happy to take Subervi at odds above 5.00.
