Agreed. Idiotic protests like this just achieve the opposite in that it just makes me want to use more oil lol.
Honestly, if these protesters came up with an intelligent argument I.e. something along the lines of:
"I think the sport should not use oil for 'xyz' item, instead why doesn't the sport use 'abc' non oil based item instead..."
Then I could respect them, the actions yesterday were the equivalent of a toddler throwing their toys out the pram. End of.

Just stop oil protesters up to their usual disruptive tricks, not sure why they didn't cover both tables with the powdered orange paint but thankfully table 2 was able to resume play after less than an hours delay and had the bonus of the arena all to themselves! It's a pity Fan didn't put up a stronger showing as he had plenty of chances.

Alexandrova is very hit and miss in my experience. The kind of player who can beat anyone but also lose to anyone.

Crazy scenes tonight, these JSO people are just morons along with animal protesters at the National a few days ago.

Good to see you on here harry! I've popped 20 quid on the 147 bet as an interest bet so I'll be rooting for it! Looking at the first round ties it's a shame that the the two best mates from the north east have drawn each other, they even play at the same club(Wilson & Slessor) - I was impressed with Elliot in the qualies but can he bring that to the Crucible?
Looking forward to day one...

good call on Walden. Day beat Donaldson 10-0. Wow
Hoping for Xu Si to beat Junxu for 6/1 winner. Much needed. Looking forward to this all starting for real now.

Miomir Kecmanovic to beat Lorenzo Musetti at 2.00 with William Hill
Miomir looks like the bet for today to me, he's been on the up recently, while Musetti has been going down for a while now, and the rest time should be sufficient for Kecmanovic to have a better shot than the odds suggest imo. If you're losing to Muller on clay, you shouldn't be a fav against Kecmanovic.

I thought they used to have the same ref for the whole match but I see the ladyboy ref is in charge tonight which is quite appropriate for a match between two Thais!

I've been watching Mink/Poom and it's been dreadful. Looks like going 2-2 but I think Mink at 7/1 is actually some value based on what I've seen.

I agree. Without wishing to sound preachy, if you're treating the betting as anything other than a fun hobby, then that's not a good sign. Sure, you can make a little bit of money on the side if you play your cards right, but you can also lose big if you get too eager. Don't force it. Otherwise you'll start to take on unwise bets and before you know you'll be down quite a bit of money. My policy is I take a look at what people are saying on here, contribute my own thoughts here and there, and then put on a tennis bet or two every second or third day, and that does me, Overall I'm probably more or less breaking even this last while, but I enjoy the process. That approach works for me. Not saying you should do the same, but there's a lot to be said sometimes for stepping back and taking a breather. 🙂

@money44 are you sure you've thought enough about this? You're taking a pretty big risk.

yeah, Cahill has a chance of qualification but I'm sure he beats Hendry at the least. Perhaps worthy of a handicap bet.

I think we all want Jimmy to do well so here's hoping! Interesting grudge match for Hendry vs his ex-nephew whom he selfishly refused to help when he was starting out in the game, I reckon Cahill should win easily as Stephen's just not got what it takes these days to compete. Marco Fu has played terribly today and looks like getting dumped out quite soon. Best of luck with those selections.

It's likely because the price is more top ended in the draw. I.e, Moody might beat Petrov but the price is more because he has to beat Anda and then Guodong over a best of 19. That being said, I'm sure there are some advantages to that for certain players that have been there before and players that are less likely to freeze. i.e, like Wells, O'Neill.

Another European Tour this weekend. Starts tomorrow at 12pm. I'm going to take a look first thing.

Just be wary when betting on the handicap for this one that it means alot to Day this one. If he wins this match then he is a seed the Worlds.
-
amity reacted to Fader in Tour Championship
Yeah, I think the handicap doesn't really represent any value. If Milkins comes out just going for everything and missing then you can gauge where it's going. If he looks like he is focused and has the right concentration levels then we could see a real great match. This one could be 10-2 or 10-9

Nope. 6-2 now. I just don't see it. 1 century each. Hopefully both bets can come in and both hit another century tonight.

Don't feel bad @amity
Wu had an injury timeout which couldn't have helped, add to that not being able to consolidate the first set break plus Diego doing what he always used to do by saving a truck load of break points and that's most of the ingredients needed to send the bet down. You'll get the next one I'm sure

Grigor should win unless he has one of his days.

Yeah, sorry about that. In future, after the success of a different way of doing it, I'll be mixing a combo of bet and shortening it. Yeah, Veenstra could have went deep too. I just seem to find the QFinalists all the time. Drives me mad.
If you do follow bets, just follow me and you'll get a notification on posts, if you do follow.

I had Bjorklund parlayed with Golubic , and sitting on a big payout if Golubic does win .. So, I can afford to back Tomova at this price probably, and be safe about it.. Still clear a nice profit.
