There's been a positive test in Palermo. The tournament looks as though it's continuing, but I really can't see how the tours can continue this year. There are going to be withdrawals all over the place and tournaments will probably be cancelled in what's already a massively truncated schedule. It just feels to me like this year should be written off - tennis is probably the professional sport least suited to a pandemic as it involves travel all over the world all the year round.

Moutet won via walkover - maybe the walkover rules for this tournament mean he wins with the above score. Not sure why Paire didn't take part.

Made a note of him when he broke out in Rio at the start of the year. Looks a real talent for sure.

    Tu (1.16) to beat Laka
    Denolly (1.16) to beat Parker
    SorribesTormo (1.28) to beat Carreras
Kvitova +1.5 Sets (1.25) to beat Sevastova
    @ 2.15 with bet365
li tu is a pretty solid player working as a junior tennis coach at the milner.tu youth tennis academy. he participated at the australian open junior championships twice, winning junior national titles and representing australia at junior davis cup and at u14 world junior teams events. he will win this no doubt about that. denolly is 3-0 at pro tennis series france since coming from the challenge elite series where he made it to the semis in the first edition with wins over escoffier, janvier, mahut and taking a set from herbert. in the second edition he beat bourgue and was then eliminated by humbert. pretty high level and way too much for the brit parker stuart, who never even played a single match on challenger level. in the spanish summer league final sorribes tormo will somehow grind carreras down. carreras is 0-4 against top100 players and never took a set. she never even made it to a wta main draw. nevertheless some drama expected in this one. kvitova will play her second final in berlin after losing to svitolina a few days ago in a matchtiebreak. svitolina was completely off in the semis vs sevastova yesterday. she made 22 unforced errors and gifted the blowout win to the latvian. sevastova didn't have back to back straight sets wins vs top20 players on hard court since 2016. there is no way that kvitova will be as sluggish as svitolina obviously was. she will be motivated as hell to win the title at tempelhof this time and won't go down without a fight. good luck mates!

Just a quick update. Helen’s recovery is continuing nicely and, whilst she is currently still in hospital, we are hopeful she will be home early next week.

I think it'll be called. Let's see. Wimbledon set the precedent so it's easier for other Slams to follow if that's what they decide to do. The Ryder Cup golf was cancelled yesterday and I think that will have an impact on what's decided, that plus it's looking like Nadal wont play. If other players follow plus there can be no spectators I can't see that the organisers will want to play a diluted version of the tournament.

Chin up @Fader you know how it works by now. Big prices always mean big disappointment if they don't come off - either because you didn't get a run for your money or because they tease by going close. On the flip side, when they deliver it's a great feeling but that's always going to be rare due to the prices. Hopefully something drops for you this week

Great post Torque. When Bremen scored their goal in injury time I thought that was it. Extra time seems to be getting longer and longer and sometimes it works in your favour but not this time. Funnily enough this doesn't come in my top ten of bizarre finishes over the years. I should write a book on my bets over the last fifty plus years but nobody would believe some of them. You should be into sports journalism Torque, even I found your write-up exciting until I realised I had lost the bet.

That game really illustrated the Highs and Lows of punting and how quickly things can change. Bremen took the lead very early and it looked as though that would be enough for the win with five minutes to go plus stoppages (High), then Heidenheim got an equaliser and with such little time left it looked as though it would be a draw (Low). Then a few minutes into injury time Bremen scored and surely that was going to secure the win (High), only for Heidenheim to be awarded and convert a penalty with almost the last kick (Low). Phew. That must have been exhausting if you were following it @waggy. Still, at least it wasn't one of your big bets

good job mate! katie has a great length in her groundstrokes. shaky vs montez, but already improved vs gamiz. hope she stays healthy and gets some matches under her belt. ps: well-intentioned advice to anyone. refrain from betting on seone mendez, she clearly threw her match today vs ivanova. she already played like this a few days ago vs khazaniuk. not sure what's wrong with her, but she wanted to be off court as soon as possible. playing serve and volley (into the net) on her own service games and going all-in on her returns.

Julia Grabher (1.06) to beat Irina Dshandshgava + Junior Alexander Ore (1.17) to beat Carter Bradford @ 1.24 with Betfair
saw both matches from dshandshgava vs antonitsch where she managed to win 4 games in 4 sets. the 18yo is just incredibly bad and grabher on the other side is the most experienced player at the austrian pro series. she won all 5 matches so far and she will also win this one. highest odds on the market, thank you very much for 6% return. at the international tennis series i'm going with junior alexander ore who is facing maybe the worst player of this starting field. bradford is a redshirt sophomore from the florida gulf coast university. he is 1-10 since joining this series about a month ago. in todays matchup he will be confronted with the most skilled opponent so far. ore has a great lefty serve and is overall on a way higher level. under normal circumstances i can't even see him losing a set.

Maybe he's trying to set records for double faults in all categories - career, season, grand slam, exhibition formats. It's hard not to think that way with the amount of double faults he serves. 12 just now in two short sets.

Nice one @kedbet that was almost a lock. 5 double faults so far from Sasha heading into the decider which is another ridiculous number considering how few service games he's had. Not sure who his coach is now but there's no way I'd coach him because he's making things unnecessarily difficult for himself. The amount of double faults he serves is completely unacceptable and means that he's giving his opponents a handicap start every time he plays. To me it's really simple - if you double fault you 100 percent lose the point. Even if you hit a powder puff second serve there's a chance of winning the point, even if it's only one percent. From that perspective your second serve has to go in and really should be going in nearly every time if you're a professional tennis player.
