    Well done with this.  I was worried about the inexperienced apprentice jockey riding this horse.  There were plenty coming at it towards the finish but the jockey held on OK anyway.  Perhaps I shouldn't be concerned about the inexperienced jockey factor?

    12.15 Goodwood - 1pt win Wholelotafun @ 40/1 Bet365

    Maybe bonkers but considering the ground might not suit some of these in a small field, I think it's worth having a poke at the rag here. Wholelotafun is more exposed than these and hasn't won a race but has shown promise in England and France and wouldn't be out of this off a mark of 70 given his price in a small field. Shaped quite well from off the pace at Chepstow when last running on these shores, keeping on well under a fairly gentle ride into 4th with an action that suggests that soft ground would suit. He's handled it when running okay in France and a testing 7f looks ideal for him, so with question marks on a couple of the others, we'll have a tentative play on the rank outsider.

    Well done.  This showed up quite well on the Aussie Racing and Sports website/  Top rated in Ratings, joint top rated in Tips and 2nd top rated in the Neurals before any adjustment was made.  Nearly backed it myself.  I hope that some of your followers backed it ?

  3. One Trixie today

    Back later with poss lay bets

    ======================================================================================================

    I strive to find a winning formula for my lay bets and the answer seems to be just to "lay" all my win bet selections ?

    One winner today and one beaten by a head to spoil a double.  The balance C/Fwd is now £716.56 (£800 Bank)

    No singles bets winner.  @Trotter once said that previous wide margin winners like Tranpennine Star in the 2.45 at Fontwell today can be a good source for "lay" bet purposes.  I couldn't figure out the logic of this but it sure seems to be true.

    Luckily I had some money on my selection in the naps competition and that at least got me out on the day with a whopping 29p profit.

    Some good class action at Newmarket and Goodwood tomorrow but even if the meetings go ahead we all have to factor in soft/heavy going.  Don't lose any sleep over it, I won't

  4. One Trixie today at £1.50 = £6 v poss £107.17

    12.20 Sed Sans Logique 15/8
    3.30 Bev Keep Busy 10/3
    4.05 Bev Hms President 2/1

    Other Bets

    1.30 Bev Santa Elena £1 ew at 10/1
    3.00 Bev Van Gerwen £1 ew at 9/1

    3.30 Bev Major Jumbo £1 ew at 5/1

    All Kevin Stott rides

    = £6 on Multiples

    = £6 on Singles

    Back later

    ==========================================================================================================

    How wonderful that my short priced favourites got beat.  From tomorrow I will be posting up short priced "lay" bets alongside my Trixie win bets.  Let's hope that I don't get a series of counter results.

    Anyway the the Trixie lost £6 so the balance C/Fwd is £722.56 (£800 Bank)

    One of Kevin Stott's rides got beat by a neck so a return of £3.25 meant a loss of £3.75.  The balance C/Fwd is now £316.20 (£400 Bank)

    Only three class 3 races tomorrow accross all 3 UK meetings.  Guess it will be another tough day ahead

    Bing Bong hope you were on?

    I did Bing with Three Castles but bombed with Militia which beat my Kevin Stott ride ( a very talented jockey who will go far).  But great tipping by yourself none the less.

    Four race meetings in the UK tomorrow and will be able to concentrate on mainly class 3 and 2 races' though the class 5 & 6's had their fair share of favourite winners today?

  6. No multiples today.

    Looked at Treaty Of Dingle 2.55 Lin, Iballisticvin 3.25 Lin, Prefontaine 5.30 Ling and Night Moment 6.00 Lin (appears best of all selections but some interesting newcomers could beat it, so best to leave multiples for the day)

    May come back with some win/ew bets later.  Kevin Stott has three rides at Muss, funny enough don't like the look of his favourite ride in the 3.00 but I have of course been wrong before.

    Looks like a mixed strategy and I wish you well with it.  You have a winner with Ey Up It's Maggie.  It was ridden by my favourite jockey atm Kevin Stott.  I didn't back it because I was afraid of the favourite.  I have had 50p ew on KS's other 3 rides.  He is definitely a jockey to follow

  9. I think I've got it sussed with short priced favourites.  One has to look at the market leaders for each day's racing and then check through the races to see which racing conditions and most recent runs are best served for possible selections.  Then and only then check all the the other stuff such as ratings and statistics just to check that all is well with the possible selection(s).  Next, place bets and wait for the money to roll in.  With the multiples play safe with selections begrudgingly slightly odds on and up to 2/1. Simple isn't it ?

    Today's Trixie

    12.30 Bangor Coulonces 13/8 (£4 win at 13/8)
    4.00 Catt With Thanks 11/10
    4.05 Bang  Le Boulevardier 11/10

    I was tempted to do a £2 Trixie but am sticking with a £1.50 = £6 v poss return of £40.49

    I will be back later with some win bets

    ===============================================================================================

    I don't mind it when a horse like Le Boulevardier gets beat because it has at least tried to win but I do mind it when horse's like Coulonces gets beaten out of site.  I don't accept the trainer's reason that the horse didn't act on the going and that's why it ran so bad.  Imo it should not have been allowed to run.  Never mind, this is what us punters have to put up with when backing a horse with good recent form only to be let down by an extremely poor performance.  This resulted in a £6 loss on my multiples which now means a balance c/fwd of £728.56 (Bank £800)

    As I backed Coulances to win for £4 (I would not have achieved much better by backing the other two individually) this created a loss of £4.  The balance c/fwd is now £318.95 (£400 Bank)

    Only two UK meetings tomorrow as Chepstow is abandoned.  Only two class 4 races so I guess I won't be lumping on the multiples.  Have a good night's rest everyone, I know I will

  10. One Trixie so far at £1 = £4 = poss return £66.24

    2.50 Sou Perfect City £2 win at 7/2
    3.20 Sou Miss M 13/8
    3.50 Sou Ultimate Getaway 15/8

    Other bet:

    3.20 Sou Angel's Whisper £1 win at 7/2

    Multiples = £4

    Singles (so far) £3

    Total stakes £7

    ==============================================================================

    Only one winner yesterday so my Trixie failed.  A £4 loss The balance c/fwd is now £734.56 (£800 Bank)

    Didn't back Miss M so stupid me.  £3 loss so the balance C/Fwd is now £322.95 (£400 Bank)

    I have no idea to be honest. My suggestion would be to have a play around and see what suits you. There is a hell of a lot of info on there like you say, but by using it you will have a lot more info than your regular punter which is always a good start.

    Many thanks; I have already noticed that the "ratings" section is very useful.  It shows separate ratings for turf with varying degrees of types of going whilst also showing ratings for the All Weather tracks. Over here we just seem to have one rating for each horse and have to lump it.

    I don't know how Racing and Sports are funded but it is also a welcome relief not to be bombarded with bookmakers offers to suck in mug punters.

  12. One Trixie today at £1 = £4 v £88.93

    Another blank day on the multiples hence a £4 loss.  The balance C/Fwd is no £738.56 (£800 Bank)

    Two singles winners, 2 place wins and a non runner = a return of £12.13 v a £12 outlay = £0.13p profit on the day

    The balance C/Fwd is £325.95 (£400 Bank)

    Some class 4 action at Southwell tomorrow but not very good quality racing so I may look at some "lay" bets

    Multiples = £4

    Singles = £17

    Total = £21

    I had a feeling that today would not yield good results and I was right.  It's a strange feeling when one feels that although the selections should have an excellent chance on paper but somehow one is unconvinced.  Shouldn't have bothered I guess today.

    None of the good things won at York and luckily I reduced the Trixie to £4.  The balance now stands at £742.56 (£800 Bank).

    On the singles front I had one winner, two placed horses and two non runners.  The return was £13.70 v a £17 outlay hence a £3.30 loss on the day, The balance C/fwd is now £325.82 (£400 Bank)

    Some Good races at Sandown tomorrow. let's hope I can find some decent selections unlike today

  14. One Trixie today (avoiding the hot pots at York)

    2.25 Sal Zezania 2/1
    2.55 Sal Seventh Kingdom 6/4
    3.50 NAb Temple Park 6/4 (Hopefully can give 14lbs to other rivals)

    One £1.50 Trixie = £6 v £59.59

    Back later with some singles including York

    3.55 NAb Postileo £2 win at 9/4

    4.20 NAb Twin Star £1 win at 9/4
    4.20 NAb Sexy Lot £1 ew at 9/1

    5.25 NAb Glengar £2 win at 2/1

    4.15 Yk Charmade £1 ew at 7/1

    4.50 Yk Hartswood £1 ew at 15/2

    Total Multiples = £6

    Singles  = £11

    Total £17

    Was too late to put up Naval Crown who had maximum points.  I backed it for £2 win anyway

    ========================================================================================

    Only one winner in the Trixie so a loss of £6.  Balance C/Fwd £746.56 (Bank £800)

    Two winners and two place bets = £15.35 Return v  £11 outlay = £4.35 profit.  Singles balance = £329.12 (Bank £400)

    Lots of class action at York and Sandown tomorrow wo I will have to be very selective about which races to focus on
