Re: Chris34's Flat Thread 2010 4.40 Beverley Red Fama looks massively overpriced on several lines of form, he is fairly lightly raced for a 6 yr old and came to hand nicely this time of year in 2008, failed to land a blow in 2009 in 3 starts and hadnt been seen until June this year and then was off again till August but appeared to be coming back to hand and last 2 runs especially last time out when running from 3lb out of the handicap under this rider, handicapper taking no chance and quickly slapping that 3lb on to his proper mark but could still be well handicapped having won off a mark of 71 on GS ground and ran a good second off 75 in heavy ground. Course form is also impressive 211 all coming over CD. 1pt e/w red fama 15/2 sj 2.35 Yarmouth Zinjbar represent the top C Brittian yard and clearly not one of the stable stars but nonetheless she has hinted at ability at various stages, taking a brief look through her pedigree it is a fairly useful one related to some top class horses, and would also suggest that this drop back to a mile would suit much better as would some cut in the ground, she has dropped to a very workable mark on 2yr old nursery form main concern is that stable are very quiet at the moment not many runners and winners few and far between so small stakes only. 0.25pt e/w zinjbar 10/1 sj 3.45 Yarmouth Wear Em Out Wilf was a game winner of a usual above standard maiden over CD last time out on fast ground, breeding would suggest good ground shouldnt be a problem and hopefully the ground is drying out nicely (plenty of wind about 30 miles down road ;) ) that form has been boosted in several places in 2 maiden wins and a couple of places in handicaps and his opening mark could have been a lot harsher and certainly open to a lot of improvement! 1pt win wear em out wilf 11/4 pp 4.20 Yarmouth Imaginary Diva is a consistent filly for all she doesnt get her head in front very often, but ran a blinder to win at Windsor on fast ground and ran another blinder to finish 3rd from a bad draw over at windsor agina off a 1lb higher mark on testing ground, does have useful form on soft ground to suggest she can cope with it and Queally replaces apprentice again today. 0.5pt win imaginary diva 9/2 vc 4.55 Yarmouth Its hard not to see Starkat give her running again today especially with the yard in good form, she won in comfortable style at haydock on a soft surface and has been religiously kept to soft conditions, 4lb rise fair and lightly raced to once again improve with the confident Buick also taking the ride eye catching. 1pt win starkat 10/3 sj 2.10 Goodwood Slip Sliding Away is progressing at a rapid rate of knots currently, and ran on to win very comfortably over CD 2 weeks ago 9lb rise is hefty but the way he won it is hardly surprising and he may still have more to offer now he has found his feet, untried on soft ground but his best form has come on good ground and same claimer rides him again today and is getting on well with him and he is 2 from 2 over this unique CD. 1pt win slip sliding away 2/1 sj

Re: Chris34's Flat Thread 2010 3.10 Epsom Titus Andronicus is one of three in this small field trained by Dandy Nicholls, he is drawn in stall 1 which isnt very good but in a field this sized it may not matter too much, he acts on all surfaces and especially with some cut in the ground and ran his best race for a long time last time out behind Rasaman, runs off same mark today and must hold a solid chance of a place at the very least at a decent price. 0.5pt e/w titus andronicus 13/2 sj 4.55 Epsom Hard to count many of these out of this but Blues Music chased home the very useful looking Absinthe by 1/2length last time out and he went on to win very easy off a 4lb higher mark next time. Blues music is up 2lb which is fair considering his lightly raced profile, has shaped well on good ground before at goodwood to suggest he should cope with condtions and course. 0.5pt win blues music 7/2 sj 4.35 Newcastle Can only find one possible front runner in Tatiana Romanova who hasnt been a front runner in 2 starts so far this year and has bombed, but was an impressive winner of a maiden at Musselburgh in GS ground when making all and has now dropped markedly in the weights and if adopting front running tactics at this track it could pay dividends. 0.25pt e/w tatiana romanova 14/1 sj 6.15 Newcastle Dubai Hills is likely to be up with the pace and has a potentially very useful draw in stall 12, he clearly came on for his first run of the season when running out a convincing 2nd on his second start back off a mark of 68, runs off 67 today and although only win to date comes in a maiden has dropped a long way in the weights and has conditions to suit today! 0.5pt e/w dubai hills 5/1 sj 3.55 Warwick Gonna take to outsiders against the field here, Mister New York is rated some 20lb+ higher on the AW where he is a real top class stayer, has struggled on limited starts on turf, handicapper giving him a real chance dropping him a furth 9lb since last run and will be interesting to see how he gets on with testing conditions especially as he stays further on the AW. The other is Dubai Dolly who has offered some hope on recent starts on soft going but nothing on fast ground so worth forgiving last run on fast ground and is another dropped several pound in the handicap now and ends up 2lb below last winning mark back on her favoured testing grounf. 0.25pt e/w mister new york 14/1 sj 0.25pt e/w its dubai dolly 12/1 sj 4.10 Ripon Big handicap in which many of these have been in good form in smaller field handicaps but City Of The King has recently found his form again having won off 80 and creeped back upto 90 now after two runner places after the win, 90 is still a workable mark and cheekpieces seem to have really sparked a revival and his good strong turn of foot could catch some of these out. 0.5pt e/w city of the kings 18/1 bet365

Re: Chris34's Flat Thread 2010 3.10 Leicester Weak looking handicap with many of these loving a bit of a slog and probably none more so than the old boy Red Wine, tends to be a law unto himself these days but on a going day he would easily have a shout in this handicap off a very favourable mark won off a mark of 69 last year and won at Catterick off a mark off 57 struggled since but yard been very quiet during that time, yard just starting to turn the corner right now and 2 month break not usually a problem for this old boy and a mark of 60 fair for him! 0.25pt e/w red wine 11/1 bet365 3.40 Leicester Angus Newz has a lot to find on official ratings but she has been a model of consistency and is well known to run her race from the front and could well get a soft lead in this with ideal conditions for her and has won some listed events in her time and has dropped a long way in the weights since and on her best form would hold very solid chances. 0.5pt win angus newz 4/1 sj 4.40 Leicester Another weak handicap and if Caras Request runs anything like he did at carlisle last week he should be impossible to beat under a 6lb penalty, he won a heavy ground maiden 2008 but struggle since off a harsh mark but that has slipped considerably since and finally took advantage in a likeable atttitude from a more positive ride. 2pt win caras request 2/1 tote 3.30 Ripon Reve De Nuit is a frustrating character who appears to be on that is gonna pop up every now and again and is kept very busy by a yard that is ticking along well at the moment. He remains 1lb above last winning mark at Newmarket when showing a brave attitude and should this come down to a fight I feel you can guarantee he will be putting his most in. Useful claimer also takes off a very handy 5lb and small amount of cut in the ground is welcome and this is easier than some of the races he has contested recently. 0.25pt e/w reve de nuit 16/1 vc 5.05 Ripon Chief Red Cloud was perhaps a little unlucky in running last time out to keep meeting trouble when trying to challenge and stayed on well in closing stages to suggest he was returning to form and handicapper giving him a chance dropping him a 1lb. Only wins have come on polytrack but his running on turf recently suggest he is capable of winning on turf. 0.5pt win chief red cloud 5/1 bet365 5.25 Folkestone Truly Asia is a horse who I feel when clicking right he is now very well handicapped but has been a bitter disappointment this season and slipped up on latest start be interesting to see what he does today but I think they will all have to go a long way to beat Grams and Ounces who looks unexposed and well ahead of the handicapper right now, best form has come with some cut in the ground like today and has been consistent all his racing career a further 4lb looks fair for such an improving profile and Fallon gets the leg up again today. 2pt win grams and ounces 13/8 bet365 6.40 Southwell Sir Walter Raleigh really failed to set the world alight last time out and a big concern stable quickly reaching for just about everything with him in tongue tie, visor and longer trip all for a fibresand debut is a major concern at a short enough price. Bivouac has a good record around here with 3 wins from 8 runs and is 1 from 1 over CD, stamina looked stretch last time out and should go better back at this trip and dropped 3lb and still shaped as if in form for all it was too far last time out, yard also in good form. 1pt win bivouac 10/3 bet365 7.10 Southwell Westwood loves it round here with several placed efforts from 7 runs round here and made it look a walk in park when winning over CD 3 starts back and ran a solid 2nd off revised mark last time out up another 1lb and gets a nice low draw, yard put in a couple of big price winners recently and a 2nd place from 4 runners and couldnt be in better form. 1pt win westwood 10/3 vc

Re: Chris34's Flat Thread 2010 3.30 Brighton This is a very modest handicap and hard to see past the first 2 in the market Lady Florence and Buxton, you always have to fear a Cumani runner at this level but has showed some awful attitude and probably worth opposing. Buxton has put 2 good efforts in recently to suggest he is inform and does go well round here but this mark looks his ceiling at the moment where as Lady Florence just keeps improving around here and although handicapper may have been a little harsh for a brilliant ride by Kennemore last time out but he gets the leg up again and her record here is faultless and wont mind the rain touched ground. 1pt win lady florence 5/2 sj 4.30 Brighton Another weak looking affair that the favourite Azaday sticks out like a sore thumb, he chased home Meetings Man who has sinced franked that form on the flat and hurdles. Handicapper hasnt been kind slapping 5lb on him for finishing 2nd but does look handicaped to win a race before long but does have to prove he handles this course and ground conditions but there appears to be plenty of market support already. 2pt win azaday 5/2 bet365 3.20 Lingfield It really is a day of unoriginal selections for me I am afraid cant find anything other than the hot favourite in this handicap, most of these are completely unreliable and fully exposed. But Bravo Bravo is completely unexposed, well beaten in 3 maiden starts but improved masively in stepping up in trip for a maiden handicap on soft ground at the weekend, drying conditions might not suit massively but is only effectively 2lb higher than that win under a penalty today as he was running 4lb out of the handicap last time out but today is on the correct terms, yard are just flying right now. 1pt win Bravo Bravo 5/2 bet365

Re: Chris34's Flat Thread 2010 Right after some of the worst weeks of my life I now have more time than ever to spend on horses sadly but thats another story but have got results caught up: Since the 9th Aug Staked: 82 Returned: 80.86 A small loss again and it is becoming frustrating now that my bets just appear to tick along hoping now I can watch more and more for time being I may be able to attack from another angle! Thread Totals: Total Staked: 473.05 Total Returned: 468.94 P/L: -4.11 With less racing from here on in my bets will probably become more spread out from everything from maidens/nurseries to group races simply because I can watch more at the moment! I will also be keeping a seperate P/L for AW bets from today onwards as the AW season hots up from tonight!

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 4.00 Epsom AW form often works out well here and at Brighton and is worth noting that Billy Red is a much better AW horse and is always at his best when dominating and although he isnt the only front runner in the lineup he is hard to beat out of the stalls and could get on well infront recently proved his well being on last 2 starts when winning at brighton and a good 4th in a better race last time out. 0.5pt win billy red 9/2 hills 4.35 Epsom A couple of big priced selections look value in this race. Shy was very disappointing last time out when completely bombing out at salisbury but prior to that had been in good form winnign 2 handicaps over this trip and is only 3lb higher for last and this is easier than that race she bombed out in, has also placed off much higher marks in 2008! The other is Barliffey who showed improved form last time out and looks well weighted on pick of form and if building on latest effort he could be involved and has ran well here before. 0.25pt e/w shy 25/1 hills 0.25pt e/w barliffey 20/1 hills 1.40 Salisbury Would usuall avoid apprentice handicaps as you tend to get funny results, but flapper is a useful filly on her day and was extremely well backed last time out when not coping with slow ground, gets on well with this useful claimer and slowly easing back down the weights. 0.25pt e/w flapper 9/1 tote 4.25 Salisbury A good looking handicap, Folly bridge looks short enough considering he needs a career best of top weight and didnt settle that well last time out. Sarosta Sunshine is a horse ive tipped several times and has been a non runner everytime recently, she is clearly still improving but a major concern is the yards form struggling for winners and several hot pots only managing placings where as for the other market leader Thrill the Gosden yard are banging in the winners right now boasting a 35% strike rate in past 14 days. Thrill stayed on really gamely and in good attitude to beat a Godolphin hotpot and that form has since taken a boost much further down the field by 2 horses and 5lb is fair for a progressive sort. 2pt win Thrill 11/4 sj 3.05 Redcar I hope 8 runners go to post for this handicap and if so Sir Nod should hold a solid chance of atleast picking up place money, worth forgiving his last running as prior to that he had showed some useful form over the 6f trip and was consistent and handicapper giving him another chance dropping him 2lb and had placed off higher mark just 3 starts ago. 0.5pt e/w sir nod 6/1 bet365 4.50 Redcar Simple jim takes a big drop in class today, yard in are in super form right now with yard and jockey riding a treble yesterday at Ripon. Race wasnt to his liking last time in a small field class 4 handicap drops back to class 6 today and bigger field with a stronger gallop likely and 3 from 4 over CD. 1pt win simple jim 7/2 coral All Weather Selections: 5.45 Wolverhampton Hardly an inspiring handicap to kick things off but many regulars. Towy Boy was given a change of tactics last time out and it finally paid off otherwise he is a consistent sort running into the places but has never shaped quite the same over 5f! Desert Strike is an interesting running in the first time visor for the Mccabe yard and ridden by the useful Cannon claiming 5lb, yard are in good form and dangerously well handicapped if coming to hand with visor on having won off a 20lb higher mark in january 2009, wide draw also a slight downfall 0.25pt e/w desert strike 10/1 pp 7.20 Wolverhampton The luca Cumani horse is being well backed but personally I cant have it not only do I heavily like on of the others but also Dirakh Shan isnt necessarily bred to stay this longer trip and appeared to struggle for a change of gear last time out and looks modest at best for a Cumani runner in my opinion and feel the 70 rating flatters him slightly. I have been looking out Status Symbol ever since making flat debut on the AW in a fairly hot 5 runner maiden in april finishing a tired 3rd to 2 useful sorts and has showed plenty of promise for a long way and same could be said in 2 starts in NHF races and should relish this drop in trip on what he has showed to date and is top rated on RPR. 1pt e/w status symbol 7/2 hills 8.20 Wolverhampton Dance and Dance is nothing but consistent on the AW having finished winner twice, 2nd 3 times and 3rd twice in 10 starts which is pretty impressive. Has also been running well on turf recently worth forgiving when not coping with big field handicap last time out, has gone well fresh before and still perhaps not quite fully exposed and open to more improvement yet. 0.5pt e/w dance and dance 8/1 sj 8.50 Wolverhampton Hard to see past the Godolphin runner the yard in super form worry has to be why we havnt see him for nearly a year but the maiden he won over CD on his only start to date has worked out extremely well in places having beat useful Cabal, Monterosso, Barq and also beating some modest performers who are rated and winning in the 70's, it makes his opening handicap mark of 90 look very lenient and well drawn in stall 2. 1pt win bronze prince 6/4 vc

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 3.00 Brighton Probably not worth getting over excited about this race. Farmers Dream is lightly raced but still a maiden and probably worth taking on with a 2lb hgher mark for recent good effort over CD. Cavendish Road has a good record around here and is 3 from 4 around here and looked like something back to his best when runner up on lingfields fast turf and fitted with tongue tie up 2lb for that and worth forgiving last run on the AW never showed anyform on AW, Holland takes the ride and this mark is only 3lb higher than last winning mark and should hold every chance on this field. 0.25pt e/w cavendish road 11/2 sj 3.30 Brighton Again usual low grade stuff for Brighton but Pipers Piping is an AW horse and landed a touch on the AW at wolverhampton in February quite nicely off a mark of 52 and followed up at lingfield off 58, since been in doldrums and dropped rapidly in weights but back on track last time out around here off mark of 48, upto 54 today but clearly still well handicapped and goes well for this jockey. 0.5pt win pipers piping 3/1 sj 2.10 Musselburgh None of these score very highly in the consistency ranks except El Dececy but 6lb penalty could find him out, and wouldnt touch social Rythm at 11/8 for all he is 1lb lower than his win the other day but is taking a drop in trip and isnt the most reliable so at the price Chambers has to come into and although he is very in and out he remains on a good mark because of that he won off 55 in June and is now running of 57 and ran a good second off that mark last time out and is still not perhaps completely stopped improving yet. 0.25pt e/w chambers 12/1 corals 3.10 Musselburgh The bear looks overpriced, he ran really well behind Rasaman and is actually effectively 9lb better off including useful jockeys claim for 3 lengths, admitdly Rasaman won really well and could easily defy mark if gaps appears which something you always betagainst with him but the Bear didnt have things go his way last time out when missing the break and unable to make the running like he usually does but plugged on gamely to prove he is still in form and cannot be ruled out if getting to the front today. 0.5pt e/w the bear 16/1 sj 4.10 Musselburgh Foxhunt looks something very special for top yard he beat what looked a very decent field on debut in very very good style winning by 8 lengths, that form has been very well advertised since with 2nd and 3rd winning next time out, 4th placed next time out and also Bravo Bravo long way behind who has been improving rapidly. Opening mark could have been a lot harsher and slight step back in trip shouldnt cause a problem and sure to improve again. 2pt win foxhunt 11/4 hills All-Weather Selections: 5.20 Lingfield Brilliant handicap to finish the afternoon off on the AW. The Johnston yard are as always in flying form and have landed a few touches just recently including last night on the AW in Hajoum and he carried a similar profile as their runner here today Al Farahidi being that he looks a useful sort but just unable to land a real blow in big field handicaps but shaped a little better at a sensible level at kempton last time out and be no surprise to see him go better again especially dropping back in trip, has a good record on AW aswell with form figures of 213. I will also have a small saver on my arch enemy Olynard he is a promising sort who often gets going far to late for his own good and same applies last time out which showed he is in good form and not handicapped out of things and good record on the AW, the other I am slightly worried about is Five Star Junior who is useful on the AW but looks handicapped upto his best at the moment and wide draw not help. 0.5pt e/w al Farahidi 8/1 sj 0.25pt win olynard 6/1 bet365 8.45 Kempton Usual staying event on the AW most of these with a hell of a lot to prove but atleast Perception is in good form, up 2lb for trying to chase the runaway winner Saute over CD last time out and still relatively lightly raced and improving slowly and may still have more to offer for a yard that does well with lower class stayers than most. 1pt win perception 4/1 sj 9.15 Kempton Another good handicap to finish the night.. Record Breaker has dropped massively in the weights but looks to be well below par at the moment and rated a lot higher on AW just because of a listed 2nd in spring but that flatters him at the moment. Wild rose takes on her elders for the first time and may find things a little tougher for all she won super easy over CD last time out. Ottoman Empire is lightly raced and showed some good form on the AW disappointing on turf last time out but prior to that had gone well on aw winning off a 5lb lower mark and runner up in a good 5 runner contest off a 1lb lower mark and should come on for the run. For me at the prices Dance The Star looks the value pick, fantasticly consistent on the AW 16 runs, 3 wins, 3 2nds, 4 3rds. Ran a couple of lesser efforts before a summer break which means he is now dangerously well handicapped only 1lb above last winning mark, should have come on for the run at Newmarket where he was never a factor nor pushed around much. 0.5pt e/w dance the star 14/1 sj

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) Couple of early ones for tomorrow: 2.30 Haydock Lucky Numbers isnt out of this by a long way, he has been in fantastic form this year and wouldnt need to improve much to have a shout in this, drawn extremely wide at chester last time out to run a very brave 5th over a trip that stretches him to the limits which is all the more credible run. Will appreciate the slightly faster conditions under foot and return to sprinting, Spencer can be very good from the front and has done that on him before and from his draw should do so again. 0.5pt e/w lucky numbers 16/1 vc 3.05 Haydock Lady Eclair looks a massive price to continue her fine form this season, surprised connections have pressed on with trying to pick up some more black type with her after landing a decent listed handicap at chester last time out, up another 3lb for that but this trip looks much more suitable and slightly better ground could also help pull out yet more improvement, she does hold entry to Cesarewitch and also a group2 next week at doncaster. 1pt e/w lady eclair 7/1 sj

Having won the audi stake at goodwood in good style in which he then was lame and had interupted preperations for the nunthorpe but I feel he ran with real credit again, going on the slowest ground, and having a couple of horses fall back in his feet and staying on. He is jus as good over 6f and aslong as all is well with him he must have a fine chance. 0.5pt e/w borderlescott 12/1 vc 2.25 Thirsk Rascal in the mix looks overpriced at 11/2, she won 2 decent enough handicaps for the grade under this jockey in the summer including over CD, showed signs she was going out form before bouncing back last time out over an inadequate 7f and had she been racing over a mile she would have won, 2lb higher mark fair enough for that effort and Amy Ryan continues to take the ride on ideal ground conditions. 0.5pt win rascal in the mix 11/2 sj 2.55 Thirsk Several of these need a race to fall in their laps for all they can be very useful none more so that Kames Park and Brouhaha, both talented but usually need a good gallop to chase and the gaps to appear. Brouhaha has showed the best recent form until last time out but has been given a break since, there had been question marks over him getting this trip in the past but he showed enough at Ascot to suggest he can get this trip and was perhaps a tad unlucky to not win at Ascot when winner was just a little tougher, aslong as Brouhaha is well and fit he has a fantastic shout! I am massively against the fav Green Lightning who is nothing but quirky and not easy and at 2/1 is far too short 0.25pt e/w Brouhaha 12/1 bet365 2.45 Kempton Ok several big names dominate this market but I am surprised to see Buxted as big as he is, unbeaten on the polytrack over this trip, winning a maiden first time out a handicap and then a listed event in spring. Did well to finish a solid 5th in a group 3 early in turf season but switch back to polytrack could just have desired affect for this lightly raced sort who is clearly still open progression. 0.25pt e/w buxted 10/1 bet365 3.20 Kempton One of the hottest and difficult handicaps you will get on the AW. Shamir carries an unusual profile for this race in that he is progressive and not fully exposed like most of the lineup and that could stand him in good stead here, having won last time out up 3lb for that game effort fair enough and a strong pace would suit better which he should get today. AW record is impressive with 3 wins, 2 2nds and 2 3rds from 8 starts! 0.5pt e/w shamir 8/1 lads 4.55 Kempton Mannlichen is an interesting runner, he is well handicapped on the pick of his best form having won off this mark back in november last year over CD and clearly goes well fresh and should prove hard to beat if anyway near at his best for a yard flying in the winners at the moment. 0.5pt e/w mannlichen 7/1 bet365

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 6.20 Wolverhampton A chance is taken with Charles Darwin who is fairly reliable handicapper at lingfield and wolverhampton on the polytrack, last seen on the polytrack winning at lingfield off a 1lb lower mark, not quite so good on turf recently but switch back to polytrack could just have the desired affect and well drawn in stall 6. 0.25pt e/w charles darwin 9/1 sj

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 3.10 York Would usually steer well clear of claimers but this has to be one of the best claimers run on the flat a class 3 with the winner picking up just over £6500. Sunnyside Tom has dominated these events recently and could easily continue to today in landing this rich prize for his inform trainer and jockey. Has to prove he stays this trip but has won over a furlong shorter and the way he won last time out was so impressive he is clearly in rude health at the moment and at these weights will be hard to beat. The one to perhaps watch would be Charlie Cool he is the best in on OR but has been below form recently and stable rather worringly really struggling for winners all of a sudden. 2pt win sunnyside tom 5/2 sj 3.45 York Good looking sprint will take 2 to war, with 16 runners hopefully we get 4 places fingers crossed. Piazza San Pietro has improved out of all recognition this season, having spent most of his racing career in sellers and claimers to get wins and is now rated 21lb higher than first win at yarmouth in handicap this year since then has won 4 more handicaps and ran a very creditable 3rd in a hot race at ripon last time out. Ryan Moore an eye catching booking and ground conditions to suit! The other interesting runner is Flipando who is really well suited to these big field handicaps as he enjoys chasing a really strong pace and come with a late rattling run, and is another to be a revelation this season since switching back to sprinting trips, having won quite comfortably off a 4lb lower mark at epsom on penultimate start before never shaping as gonna land a blow at the curragh and since been given a break, goes well fresh and if back on song must have a shout of this career high mark off putting thing is yard are a little quiet 0.5pt e/w piazza san pietro 7/1 corals 0.25pt e/w flipando 14/1 hills 4.20 York Beat The Shower takes a big step up in class today but could still be well ahead of his mark, he has improved rapidly this season winning over hurdles and 2 tries over the flat, up 5lb for latest but takes a step up in trip which could yet inch more out of him as he only got up in dying strides staying on strongly so 2miles ought to suit very well. 0.5pt e/w beat the shower 8/1 coral

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 2.10 Bath Guttered I missed the price on Fly By Nelly 5/1 was MASSIVE price but finding a job has to come first but she still offers plenty of value at 3/1 in what looks a modest nursery full of exposed sorts, this is her handicap debut and her mark of 70 looks extremely fair considering how close she finished to Timothy T on her only appearance on turf as he has gone on to be 3rd in a group 3 since, she caught the eye again in maiden company last time out when staying on over 7f on the AW and should be suited to this switch back to a mile again. 2pt win fly by nelly 3/1 sj 3.10 Bath This is rather weak and The Tatling is more than capable of picking up something up before he is finished, he has offered enough this season to suggest that and this return to 6f again looks more suitable these days as he appears to lack the early pace required over 5f these days. Has dropped to a very dangerous mark if Catlin can coax his best out now off a 16lb lower mark than last win! 0.5pt e/w the tatling 14/1 sj 5.20 Newcastle Peters Gift showed a huge amount lot more when second at Musselburgh last week only to be collared on the line by a potentially well treated horse, Amy Ryan takes the ride again today and if repeating that run could well be hard to beat off the same mark. Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 4.55 Goodwood Effigy is a consistent sort in the main and is slowly easing in the weights which is associated with his long losing run. But he goes well over this course and was a beaten favourite in this race last year off a mark of 77 now rated 75 and has been showing enough to suggest that he can pick up something soon and should get a decent gallop that he requires to get into his races. 0.5pt e/w effigy 6/1 sj 5.25 Goodwood My Kingdom is an extremely frustrating sort, he clearly has bags of ability but his dangerous come from behind style is just asking for trouble, has found plenty of trouble in running last twice in bigger fields but that has protected his mark to a decent one, won in extremely good style over CD off a 3lb lower mark goes well on softer ground which can be expected here. 2pt win my kingdom 3/1 bet365 3.55 Lingfield A field of several useful sorts in this handicap and its Spanish Island that catches me the most with Detori a very strong booking. Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. All-Weather Winter 10/11) 2.35 Doncaster Spanish Duke is a worthy favourite after bolting up last time out, but concern over the stable form puts me off at the prices. Royal Destination stepped up on recent efforts last time out when only going down by a head to Sweet Lightning and he is 2lb better offer today, he has been risen5lb for that effort which is ok considering he well beat the rest of field, still relatively lightly raced and if back on song most hold a solid chance! 0.5pt e/w royal destination 6/1 bet365 5.25 Doncaster Secret Witness is another rapid improver this summer, he was getting a name as a decent sprinter on the AW and not much impact on turf but that has changed rapidly and has finished 2nd on last 4 starts on turf. Nothing wrong with attitude and proved he can aquit himself just aswell in big fields when finishing runner up at york in a big handicap, runs off same mark today and extremely well drawn in stall 21!! 0.5pt e/w secret witness 4.45 Epsom I have tipped Maze up several times just recently, was useful as a 2yr old which damaged his handicap mark and flattered his ability as a 3yr+ but has come down the weights and remains on a good mark, having won at catterick off 70 and a good second at yarmouth over this trip off 73 chasing home the well handicapped sir mozart. Handicapper dropped him a 1lb for a slightly lack lustre effort over 6f but should relish the return to 7f. 0.5pt win maze 11/2 vc 4.00 Bath Sugar Beet represents a yard in extremely good form at the moment. Was well beaten by subsequent listed winner and the 81 rated Florestans matched, she wasnt pushed about or anything and an opening mark of 62 looks lenient on what she has achieved having beaten a few higher rated rivals in previous maidens, she is due to run off a 3lb higher mark in future. 0.5pt e/w sugar beet 6/1 sj 8.15 Kempton Find it hard to oppose the favourite here Hamloola, she has run 2 solid efforts this season when beaten by a subsequent handicap winner off a mark off 75, and her herself beating a next time out maiden winner into 3rd, got her head infront in a very weak maiden at yarmouth and handicap mark of 78 looks extremely fair given she acts on the polytrack and in good heart. 1pt win hamloola 9/4 bet365

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. I wrote this last time out: "5.10 Goodwood Citrus star will certainly want some cut in the ground but he is going the right way to be something a little bit special, he was 3rd in a listed event on final start as 2yr old and then 3rd first time out this season in an average handicap but a much more promising 4th last time out at epsom when hampered at start but runnign on very strongly, runs off same mark today and can be expected to improve again and really looks to be going the right way!" Same applies today he won last time out quite comfortably in the end and especially considering the run he got through and is probably worth more than the winning margin suggests which makes a 3lb rise look fair for such a competitive handicap. 1pt e/w citrus star 13/2 sj

Was rated at 92 at first start of this season now down to a realistic 68 and last handicap win comes off 89, has won 5 times over this course and been running well of late and goes especially well around here on lingfields fast home turn. 0.5pt e/w little edward 15/2 hills 4.40 Yarmouth Angus Newz has been well held off this sort of mark most of the season but the refitting of the visor has had a massive impact just recently with a win in handicap at newmarket infront of the useful sir geoffrey and then followed up with a very bold effort in a conditions race on unfavourable terms at leicester, handicapper took a harsh view of that! Verinco has run consistently well this season since fitted with visor and teamed up with this claimer who claims a handy 7lb, 4lb for last time out win but goes on most ground conditions and is very well drawn in stall 9. 0.5pt e/w verinco 5/1 vc 5.20 Beverley Extremely weak classified stakes race but I am surprised to see Carragold such a big price, yard are a little quiet at the moment as far as runners but yard have a good record at this course this season with 15 runs and 5 wins and a LSP of +16.83. And Swiss Act looks a massive price at 10/1 for the johnston yard who are still going well at the moment has been seen since finishing 3rd behind Chiberta king at Newmarket and on that evidence should have a good say in this event where stamina is gonna be key and he has plenty of it. He ran as though amiss on penultimate start but bounced straight back last time out at Kempton in the London Mile handicap he was given a shockig ride by Detori, and when the race was over the race was all over but he was running on very strongly in the finish gets to run off same mark today and has run well on turf in the past last year. 0.5pt win clockmaker 2.00 Newbury I am happy to take 3/1 about Easy Ticket all day long he looked a real smart prospect who could be destined for better things a 9lb rise is fair considering the style he won the race, the form has taken a few knocks none more so than the 2nd flopping today at Ayr but like I said he looked a class above most of them. 1pt win Easy Ticket 3/1 vc 2.15 Ayr Still not happy to give up on Tiddliwinks yet, he has bags of ability and has been significantly unlucky in draw/type of ride/unlucky in running this season in big field handicaps but today he has the perfect draw in stall 24 which could prove vital. Drying ground could also be important and has been strong in most markets this season to suggest he is working well at home and runs off the same mark as one of his best efforts this season last time out when 4th 2 1/4l behind poets place in Portland last time out and could be well handicapped. 1pt e/w tiddliwinks 10/1 sj 3.20 Ayr Another one at the top of the market for me rather unoriginal but is another that I have followed all season and had threatened to be something special since landing an AW maiden in very good style, landed a bit of a touch at Newcastle perhaps favoured slightly by the track bias that day but even so won well and proved that was no fluke by following up with a good second to Even and Odds off a 9lb higher mark up another 5lb for that effort but still relatively lightly raced and certainly open to more improvement. Sanders keeps the ride and is getting on well with the horse. Well drawn in stall 25. 0.5pt e/w johnny mudball 8/1 hills 5.30 Catterick Tislaam has taken a real step forward since swtiching yards running away with a usual weak affair on the AW but followed up in a slightly better apprentice handicap under a penalty last time out, turned out quickly again without penalty and is ridden by a useful 5lb claimer which puts him 5lb below last winning mark and looks hard to beat with yard in reasonable form at the moment! 1pt win tislaam All Weather (evening) 5.45 Wolverhampton Severall regulars in the lineup none more so than Almaty Express and Lithaam who both are capable off their current mark but are both on long losing runs although both have suggest their turns arent too far away soon but Lithaam drawn wide tempers enthusiasm even more. So for me Mansii attracts me clearly better in the AW than turf and was last seen on AW winning over CD, has since ran a couple of ok efforts on turf off a 5lb higher mark dropped 2lb for those efforts and could well be well handicapped if AW has desired affect again and low draw helps. 0.25pt e/w mansii 6.20 Wolverhampton Hard to see past Catherines Call she looked a filly going places in handicaps when winning 3 on the bounce in including a handicap off a mark of 76. She finished runner up off a mark of 72 over this course and 7f, up 1lb in weights and takes a step back in trip but didnt ought to cause too much problems in this field and looks the one to beat off a good looking mark again. 1pt win catherines call 7.50 Wolverhampton War and Peace isnt one to go over board about with a piss poor strike rate but he ran a crack of a race last time out in a claimer when completely missing the break but finished very strongly in 4th, has won off a 7lb higher mark in the summer on turf and just as good on AW. Gannon has been riding well especially for Evans yard at the moment and a career low mark is appealing for an E/W investment having run into places off 10lb+ higher marks last winter! 0.5pt e/w war and peace Will add prices in the morning but unlikely to have too much time in the morning!

Re: Chris34's Flat 2010 (Inc. She made a decent start on rather tougher terms in another seller up at Musselburgh over 7f for this trainer, and now makes handicap debut off a reasonable mark and useful claimer able to take off a handy 3lb aswell. 0.25pt e/w saxonette 10/1 pp 2.40 Hamilton A weak looking event for a class 3 event, and Little scotland drops back in trip and cheekpieces need to have desired affect second time round and at the price doesnt leave much room so therefore I like the chances of Ming Meng and it is interesting that Bell brings her back to her last time win over CD in a maiden beating a next time out winner by 7 lengths he is rated 53 and he in turn beat a 75 rated horse by nearly 3 lengths so an opening mark of 75 looks extremely lenient and is certainly open to more improvement yet. 2pt win ming meng 5/2 vc 4.10 Hamilton Chookie Hamilton has again changed yards since he was last seen but he shaped much better last time out when 4th of 8, dropped another 2lb in the weights and is now only 2lb above his last turf winning mark and 5lb below his last AW winning mark in November, does go well on turf aswell as AW and wins have come on ground with some cut before.
