Re: My first ever live game - Day 1b of the WSOPE ME... The only person i recognise on Chapman's table is john monette who made a couple of final tables in this years WSOP but became a lot better known for being a huge raving massive tosser so hope you bust him Mick!

Re: My first ever live game - Day 1b of the WSOPE ME... Hello one and all, thanks so much for the support, I cant begin to explain what an incredible day it's been, I have alot to say about everything and will do a full report at some stage but its been along, long day and I'm shattered. I sat down today with two objectives, the first was to relax and enjoy myself and the second was to make day 2, which I have! :nana I'm going into day two with a stack of 34,150, which is more than what I started the day with and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of myself.:ok I thought I had a problem when about half hour into level two Gus Hansen sat down two seats to my left, it was very surreal, I'll have alot to say about Gus another time but I learnt alot watching him get upto around 80k and busting out in level 5, it was a bit tripped out playing a pot heads up with him, there were atleast 4 full time pro players at my table but I couldnt even tell you there names, one was a pokerstars sponsered pro, the other two were friends with Gus and made it clear they were high rollers listening to thier conversations about chinese poker, these guys are crazy! Anyway gonna get some sleep, day 2 starts at 5:30pm so I have all day to prepare and focus, we play 4 more levels with no break and its going to be make or break, we are now at the stage where the real test for me begins, loving every minute of it and once again for all the support. :clap By the way, I will not be watching the TV Interviews I did as I just can't bring myself to do it, hopefully I came across ok. :lol Cheers, Mick.

By the way' date=' I will not be watching the TV Interviews I did as I just can't bring myself to do it, hopefully I came across ok. :lol[/quote'] You've got no worries there mate. ;) Even before I saw this quote I was going to say congrats on handling the TV interviews so well! You come across like a top bloke. Not cocky or arrogant and not "zomg it's my first tourney, nerves nerves nerves" so fair play! :lol Mega-congrats on making it through to Day 2, super achievement. Enjoy today and take it down sir :clap

Seat 8 deffo bluffing opportunity he can lay down big hands. Seat 7 and 9 I've looked on HMDB and they look good but not spectacular and with their medium stacks they would probably not appreciate an all in 4bet :lol And seat 2 ask her if she fancies an Ice Beer (and thats not rhyming slang) As people have said just play your game, you're freerolling, enjoy and good luck. (I 'm mighty jealous BTW!!)

Re: My first ever live game - Day 1b of the WSOPE ME... NOW IN DAY 2 Thanks again everyone! :clap TQD - Appreciate that, cheers. WASP - Awesome, I hadn't seen the table draw until just now, of the people there I know Dennis Phillips is and everyone knows Devilfish, its going to be fun! :lol Thanks for the info on the others, makes me wonder if they care enough to research the players, if they do they will obviously see me as the big fish at the table, if that is the case hopefully I can exploit it. I sure will be gambling today, I feel much more prepared than I did yesterday and hopefully I will see some cards in first couple of levels but whatever happens now I'm happy. :hope Betfair have been incredible in looking after me and taking care of everything and I can't thank them enough, amazing! :clap

I think that is a really useful and helpful analysis Brian, well done. :notworthy

Re: My first ever live game - Day 1b of the WSOPE ME... NOW IN DAY 2 Just under two hours to go guys, I'm staying in the Radisson just opposite the casino and am about to go over and hang in the Betfair players VIP room for a bit before we kick off, hopefully I will get to meet John Tabatabai today, didn't get a chance yesterday so it would be nice, I met Annette though and have a funny story about a conversation I had with her to share later. :ok The analysis that Brian gave me about my table today has been noted on paper, very helpful indeed. :clap I think we all missed a player on my table in the list though -

65025 12 5 Golser, Markus
He is a Full Tilt poker pro and by the look of it, is no mug (Who is in this game? Apart from me :lol) http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/markus-golser Anyway fingers crossed I can report back with good news later tonight! Mick

I disagree with the analysis of those players a little. Dennis Phillips is an extremely underrated, and has been know to make some pretty thin calls, so I wouldn't say he's massively bluffable. Devilfish is pretty bluffable in recent times, and doesn't seem to be the force he was a few years back. I've seen him lay down huge hands in pretty questionable circumstances. Friberg prob the best player at the table, Kabbaj obviously very good too.
