POKERPLAYER 2008 Fantasy WSOP I apologise if there is already a thread for this, but has anyone entered it. How to enter 1. Select a team of 10 players to represent you. Each player costs between 40 and 500 points and you’ve got a maximum of 2,000 points to spend. You will find a full list of eligible players and you can add any player not on the list for a cost of 70 points, but they must be named. 2. Enter your team name followed by 10 names, separated by commas, then your contact details and hit the 'Enter competition' button. The results We’ll update the results here after each of the 11 events. Due to the delayed finish of the Main Event this year, should any of your selected players make the final table, points will be awarded corresponding to the players' chipstacks going into the final table. So, if you have selected Gavin Griffin and he is fifth in chips, you will score 60 points, trebled for Main Event, so 180 points. Therefore the competition will finish on 14 July, Day 7 of the Main Event, before play breaks until November. Re: Fantasy WSOP League 2008 Day 1 of Event 1's over and there's 70 players left. Those who picked Eli Elezra have got a right jammy bargain as he's right at the top amongst the chipleaders! :eek Those that matter (to us in this comp) that are also left are Patrik Antonius, Andy Bloch, Humberto Brenes, Bill Chen, Chris Ferguson, Jennifer Harman, Alexander Kostritsyn (looks like a helluva pick runadrum!) and Kathy Liebert. OT: The highest placed remaining Brit appears to be John Kabbaj in 39th out of 70 players left.

Re: Fantasy WSOP League 2008 Just found my team, no idea what I called it... Allen Cunningham (350) Erik Seidel (350) Roland De Wolfe (300) TJ Cloutier (250) Dave "Devilfish" Ulliot (150) Men Nguyen (150) David Benyamine (150) Eli Elezra (40) John Leontakianakos (40) Dewey Tomko (40) So two guys left in the first tournament, with Elezra obviously being my big hope there. Should make following the WSOP more interesting this year.

Re: Fantasy WSOP League 2008 The top 20 in Event 1 include Patrik Antonius, Andy Bloch, Eli Elezra, Alexander Kostritsyn and Kathy Liebert. Other names of note still in are Chris Bell, John Kabbaj, Phil Laak, Nenad Medic, Mike Sexton and Rolf Slotboom (who was eliminated in 20th place).

Re: Fantasy WSOP League 2008 Yeah msaban, slapdash and Dodger will certainly get an early lead amongst the PL teams thanks to Andy Bloch and Kathy Liebert. Early doors, mind as there's still ten events to go! Phil Hellmuth might actually recover in time and play in one of these events! :lol

Re: Fantasy WSOP League 2008 Read over on that Hellmuth entered into Event 2 around two and a half hours late (as he's want to because he likes a fashionably late entrance) and promptly got KTFO of the tourney shortly after! :lol :rollin Oh...here are the blog entries: Hellmuth Decides to Play Phil Hellmuth, in typical Hellmuth fashion, decided to wait until two and a half hours into today's event to arrive. He showed up wearing a racing jacket, introduced himself to everyone at his table, and took his seat directly to the left of Mekhi Phifer. Due to the late registration versus late arrival rule, Phil's chip stack has been dwindled down to 1,900. http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/2008-world-series-of-poker/event-2-1500-nlhe/id47972.htm#no47972 Only lasting for thirty minutes, and down to just 575 in chips, Phil Hellmuth made it 500 to go preflop from the big blind. A middle-position player called, as did a late-position player. On a flop of Ad Ac 6s, Hellmuth shoved all in for his remaining 75. The middle-player position called and the late-position player made it 2,000 more to go. The middle-position player folded and Hellmuth's pocket queens were up against the late-position player's A-7. The turn brought another six, giving Hellmuth's opponent a full house, but the river dropped another ace, giving him quads to eliminate Hellmuth from today's event. http://www.pokernews.com/live-reporting/2008-world-series-of-poker/event-2-1500-nlhe/day1b/page11.htm Hellmuth's a right Peter O inhe!? :lol :rollin ============ Between Andy Bloch and Nenad Medic as to who'll win Event 1. 3rd Kathy Liebert, 4th Mike Sexton and 5th Amit Makhija.
