Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge

If my maths is right - we're guaranteed to beat last months total - in fact, looking like we're going to smash it!!!
And it wasn't right....... I miscounted last months total....... 98 points last month - guaranteed a minimum of 92 this month (and should be better :ok)

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge

Whoever it was from Laddies with four 8’s (maniac?) definitely said that if it had been anyone else he would have milked them.

I don’t know if it may have been an individual decision on his part rather than team tactics though, as one of the player who he soft played against eventually went all in against another of his team members.

Assuming he chose his own user name then maniac may seem to be in touch with his own personality, but he did ask whether he had broken any rules and as this is a team competition and as in any other competition teams are meant to help each other ( for the good of the team ), did he actually break any rules? I was on the same table as Pene but to be honest I wouldn’t have known if the rules of team poker are any different to individual play rules.

Well played those still in.

Schoey - regardless of it being a team challenge the site's T's and C's must over-ride this; http://www.poker.co.uk/houserules.html?PHPSESSID=88a8724de7423f1a595ef8e3eb131b0f
4. Team play or collusion: Team play or collusion is the act of two or more players “teaming up” to gain a competitive advantage by signalling card values or making raises and re-raises that are intended to force a victim player out of a pot. If customer service receives a complaint about such an activity or management suspects such activity, the players accused/suspected will have their accounts and playing activity reviewed by management. Players found to have been acting, or reasonably suspected of acting as a team, will have their account privileges terminated throughout Boss Media’s casinos indefinitely. If warranted, Poker.co.uk has the right to confiscate any funds won while acting as a team. Confiscated funds will be distributed to victim players.
I know this almost off by heart due to the SO problem. :$ :$ :$

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge Mr V,

Thanks for pointing that out.

I’m not defending team tactics. Just, I suppose, pointing out that if you form people into teams via their forum allegiances then the not working as a team rule is open to causing confusion.

You are effectively forming people into teams and then expecting them not to work as a team. I can understand others confusion on the issue, that’s all.

I know from playing Tournament’s with PL’ers, that any one of you would be only too happy to take my chips off of me, but some people from other sites may not be aware of that.

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge Fair enough Schoey:ok I think what p'ssed me off was when he was defending his actions when their forum were accusing us of doing exactly the same thing. Like you said, no chip tastes sweeter than one stolen from a PLer.. :lol :lol :lol

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge Well played PLers! In my opinion, if Laddies were cheating, they were doing it in a very unintelligent way. Soft playing might gain in the latter stages, but early on you want a few members of your team to be doing very well. Making sure they're all doing average plus when only 20 out of 110 score points is just dumb.

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge

How come 2damn was playing for G UK?:unsure
basically it's to do with the affiliate link of the software and he plays in their freerolls and other games. To play for PL and the normal poker.co.uk. games he'd have to keep uninstalling/reinstalling whichever one he wanted to play for that night......and he couldn't be arsed to do that!! :spank :lol :lol Sorry I didn't make it tonight, absolutely shattered from work and fell asleep after putting little un to bed.:( Good performance though people :ok :D

Re: Poker.co.uk up to $4,000 added Inter-Forum Challenge Hi All In answer to the Boss's question. I joined the gambling.co.uk forum after the first of the poker player freerolls back in January, they run freerolls for regular members on poker.co.uk and as i had participated in several of them when the forum competition was mentioned i registered for them - this was before the forum line up was announced. Although to be fair i don't think my points will make much difference to the outcome. Must confess felt a bit strange being on the other side of the fence :lol Congrats to Ronay :clap
