DUMB LOVE

TIME TO BOOGIE

both win

Both have the help of a high/low draw and the ballydoyle and Lyons runners look the best here with the help of runs under the belt. Both should be in the shake up with the lower drawn of the two having a distinct advantage on the evidence of the last two runnings.

lots of chances here but kot has seemed mightily unlucky repeatedly this year since winning this very race last August. Taken off heels last time out and previously at Pontefract had absolutely no chance when van Gerwen stole the race from the front. Back on a seven pounds lower mark but with a very high draw he’d need a career best to win this from the car park but it could be this is king of Tonga’s happy place….

William Buick is in good sorts right now and teams up on top weight pft for Donald McCain. I like it when jumps trainers turn up for these events because they are often thinking outside of the box and like Willie Mullins last week McCain has sought top services here.

Everybody's bets did though!

Credit where it's due, your negative mention did add weight to my decision to back it. Not so much a case of thinking that going against you is a route to profit but there were enough positive mentions and it was always going to be mildly amusing if it went on to win or place.

Didn't win did it. Three cheers for @TheBrigadier

The recommendation from @richard-westwood was ew and you will find most that followed it bet it ew (i didn't i crossed rfc's because i fancied the 3rd) i think most would put richards opinions a fair way above your meek, negative and unqualified opinions, the equaliser v richard westwood on recommendations is a no contest i am afraid. Harry sums it up far better than me "there were enough positive mentions and it was always going to be mildly amusing if it went on to win or place."

I backed it ew because I follow @richard-westwood's selections.  The Brigadier got the winner don't you think you should acknowledge that

Think this place has turned into the cat house  the claws are getting sharpened!!!!

P.S Certain Lad ran a cracker  his time will come soon shouldn't go up to much for that. He  also had been off the track between 20 and 22  a total of 532 days. Bottom line he is a decent horse ready to win soon imho.

That's my two bobs worth.

Well it took you three attempts to do so (two almost identical posts with an edit to the second)! :)

Fair play to anyone who found the winner but it's a bit disingenuous to play that card when you chose to lead with a sour faced "didn't win did it" rather than a begrudging well done to those that backed it.

Anyway, cheers to all of you who mentioned it, whether positively or negatively, as there was enough "chatter" about it for me to have one of my occasional racing bets.

I wish we had a similar volume and quality of input into the footy threads. :cheers

No probs Harry. @Zilzalian just says horrible things about me all the time.  He shouldn't wind me up

Chelmsford 6:45

Grey gray

win
Hit the bar at Chelmsford with the well backed selection getting going too late.

hollie Doyle has uncharacteristically gone a week without a winner since dead heating in a big race on Saturday. Her runner

Grey gray

has a good chance to end that run now. On a hat trick and although drawn out in stall 5, Hollie is a front running jock and will try to cross to the rail from the start. She is on the only course and distance winner and if she can carry out that move and hit the front she’ll be hard to pass.

But you give him the opportunity  to do just that on this occasion  to be fair,  so you need to take it on the chin and move on 👍

Fair comment is one thing Ted but there is no need to levy personal insults at anyone on the Forum.  In fact, they are outside the rules as I understand them

Actually that’s not a bad idea, let’s have a levy on personal insults with all proceeds going to the competition prize pot!

I think you’ve copied and pasted that from your profile on a different sort of website!

That's the measure of a decent man. I know plenty who like to give but can't take and that's the measure of a d*ckhead. For clarity I'm not referring to anybody on this thread, just saying that there's nothing wrong with a bit of a wind-up as long as it goes both ways.

Nice return on ancient rome pity the hannon horse did nothing.

At the risk of it sounding like an innuendo, I do love a good spoonerism (and wordplay generally) and I think my mind is predisposed to look for them all the time. It's probably part of the reason why I remain amused by the memory of Ted Rodgers (it certainly not down to his act).

I once caught a glimpse of a sign advertising part-worn tyres as we drove past it and was convinced I'd seen an advert for wart porn until I double checked it on the way back. If ever there was a term you wouldn't want to google!
