There's 3 grade races at Navan today which makes for a pretty decent Jumps card

12.40 - We have a well odds-on favourite here in My Mate Mozzie ....... this is a novice hurdle so not a great deal of form to go on but I'll take him on. His yard are not in great form (1 win from the last 39 runners), he's up in class and has been running in big field races. This might be tactically different. Enough there to think he might be vulnerable. I'll go with Elliott's horse, Chemical Energy at 5/2 bet365, who's won 3 out of his 5 starts, has won at the track and represents a top yard

1.10 - Grade 2 Hurdle - looks like a 2 horse race with the Cheltenham Stayers Hurdle Champion, Flooring Porter (Favourite), taking on the 2nd from the Festival race. Same two trainers as in the race above .... so again I'll take on the Gavin Cromwell trained favourite and side with Elliott's Sire du Berlais at 2/1 bet365

2,55 - Grade 2 two mile chase - This features former potential superstar Samcro who won his first 8 starts culminated in a Championship race at Cheltenham. But he does seem to have gone sour since ...... although he did come back to win again at the Cheltenham Festival. His last two runs have seen him beaten a combined 96 lengths. However he has now joined Gordon Elliott so maybe the master trainer can revive him and he's got all the headgear on today ......... it's probably his last chance saloon but I'll risk it for an Elliott Treble ..... Samcro at 2/1 bet365

Bum, my first two horses both finish 2nd after being hampered by fallers towards the finish

To be fair I don't think either would have won but it's after the two incidents they didn't have any chance

RESULTS UPDATE

I was hoping to go into accumulated profit for November with two strong runners in the 3.45 at Sandown.  The Nicholls horse was never placed to challenge and my other selection though running very well got caught by a real Colin Tizzard tartar called Buckhon Rocco winning at 14/1 (Harry Kinber 7lbs claimer doing well also of late).  I had two winners so my return was 14.56 pts and hence a 5.56 pts profit.  This makes my Cum. November balance - 0.74 pts.  Cum since 1.1.21 - 244.28 pts.

I will sign up to Horseracebase but I will leave this until Monday week.  I have far too much on this week and weekend.  I may not even get to post up here tomorrow so good luck to all PL members who are playing.
