It can only be downhill for me now--after getting 0-3 correct in the first match--early leaders always fade !

ha, I've done this type of comp before and you start well and then look down at your predictions and think "what was i thinking?" :D

Good start :ok

Most important is that Eriksen is alive, for sure that was heart attack. Bad day for Denmark they lost Eriksen for the Euro and missed penalty shot for that 0-1 loss. That wasn't their day.

Great news that he's currently stable, was looking very bad. Surprised they didn't postpone the game for a day at least.

I could not believe that they continued the game.

I am not talking through my pocket, as I did not have a bet on the game, but there is no way that game should have continued yesterday. Both sets of players were affected, especially The Danes. THeir manager said they were 'Finished Emotionally'.

I do not believe that either side were demanding or requesting the game be continued less than 2 hours after the dramatic events.

Greed, pure greed on behalf of UEFA, wanting to keep the TV companies happy and not allowing anything to interfere with their tournament.

I was not in favour of the "Super League", but UEFA are in no position to accuse clubs of being greedy and self serving, when they are at the top of the tree when it comes to Greed and self interest.

Thankfully Christian seems to be on the road to recovery. God willing that continues.

totally agree. I don't think that they should have carried on with the game. at least postpone for a day. I'm not a fan of either of these teams but I think that it definitely wasn't fair and affected the players in Denmark badly.

It was so emotional to see Eriksen like that and seeing players crying.

On a happy note, I'm super excited for England match!!!!! Come on, England!!!!!!

Apparently they were offered to move it to midday the following day or finish it that night. They chose that night because they just wanted it done instead of travelling back to camp, trying to sleep and then travelling again. There must've been other alternatives.

I'm worried by England already, I can't name the team or formation we are going to play. I fear we will be way too cautious and play 2 holding midfielders. I feel this is a tournament that we can dominant the ball, with the likes of Grealish/Foden... but Gareth doesn't seem to like Grealish

Been trying to pick team, but centre defence worries me, almost certain 2 defensive/holding midfield, Mount & Kane then who knows Sterling/Rashford/Grealish/Fodon/Sancho. Four of which are better from left hand side, Way under cooked preparation wise with 2 meaningless friendlies and 7 or 8 not played for 3 weeks. Some of them their touch and control are not good at the best of times, mines useless by the way. Looking at what we have available Pickford, James, Stones, Mings?.., Chillwell, Phillips, Rice, Grealish, Mount, Sancho, Kane. So long as Kane doesn’t take corners and Henderson doesn’t take a penalty. I can’t believe Ward Prowse is not in the 26 at least, he would be close to my 11 if I was choosing.

Agree on WardProwse, how we were considering taking so many rightbacks but no place for the best deadball specialist in England is beyond me. His delivery is elite

It’s not just that, I’m not a stats person but my son tells me he has played every Premiership minute for the past 2 seasons and is versatile position wise, he is top or close to top of tackles, recoveries, passing all sorts of stats including chances created. I can only put it down to playing for a non big club. Southgate was on record as saying he would select on form and fitness, if Sterling starts he is a liar. Who will be our corner taker?

Trippier has played very well at EL Cholo's Atletico Mardid.  But as a right-back.  Seems wrong to me to switch him left side when there are players suitably acustomed to playing left defence, on a regular basis.

To win this tournament you bring your best tools and use them in the right way.  Southwell's tem today smacks a little of low confidence.   I hope I am wrong.
