RB Leipzig vs Schalke

Last season, this would have been close to a title clash but this season is a completely different story. RB Leipzig take on Schalke at the Red Bull Arena in this 2:30pm kick-off on Sunday. The home side are once again chasing European football but the same can't be said for the away side who are struggling to battle against dropping into a potential relegation dogfight.

It was a hard start to the campaign for RB Leipzig when they got hammered 4-1 away to current league leaders Borussia Dortmund. That defeat has turned out to be the only loss in the league for Ralf Rangnick's side this season. A run of 7 league games unbeaten for the club has seen them climb to 5th in the table and just 5 points off the title pace.

If RB Leipzig had a difficult start to the season with that solitary heavy defeat then Schalke are still in the process of experiencing a nightmare scenario that very few at the club saw coming. Domenico Tedesco's side are lingering near the foot of the table in 16th place with just 6 points from their first 8 league games.
