16.30 Newmarket - Custom Cut (8/1) 1 pt Win BOG B365

I make the favourite a little short based on current prices and so I'm happy to take him on with Custom Cut. The O'Meara/Tudhope combination is one that has served me well over the years, and this horse has been really good for them. Very consistent and plenty of form at this sort of level, including over course, distance, and on soft ground. Suspicions that he may have needed the run on seasonal reappearance 11 days ago and an improvement on that performance would put him in the shake up here. Not always a positive to race handily at Newmarket, but there doesn't look to be much pace to compete with here so Danny may be able to dictate his own fractions from the front.

Tissue: 5/2 Air Pilot, 7/2 Dutch Connection, 9/2 Tullius, 9/2 Custom Cut, 5/1 Sovereign Debt, 5/1 Mahsoob, 15/2 Bossy Guest, 9/1 Bronze Angel, 15/1 Decorated Knight, 21/1 Battle Of Marathon, 26/1 Calling Out.

Cheltenham 2.25 Mysteree @ 8/1 betfair , boylesports  e/w thanks

Mysteree.....from Lucinda Russell yard she sends the 8yo down from Perth in Scotland to Cheltenham like she did with Sky Khan at the Cheltenham festival when he got a place finish at 50/1 ,

Mysteree has won two hurdle races and two chases from 2m 3f to 3m on ground varying from good to heavy although the yard has been stepping the distance up with them sending it out in his further race yet 46 days ago at Newcastle Betfred Eider (A Handicap Chase) .4m.½f where he saw it out in 4th place ,

They bring him back in distance 4f which could be a big help plus Grant Cockburn claiming 5lbs brings him well below his last two winning marks

4.30 Newm - Tullius - win at 7/1 bog wm hill

Group 3 over 9 furlongs

My horse is a dual group 2 winner who escapes a penalty under the race conditions.

He's a CD winner and acts on any ground

He's had a couple of runs, one on the AW and one over in France so should be race fit and ready to rock n roll

2.25 Chelt

FINANCIAL CLIMATE @ 16/1 Ladbrokes

Trainer does well historically with his chasers at this time of year and this one has a number of things in his favour today.  Back down to a mark of 124 which is only 2lb higher than his last winning mark and lower than marks he has twice been placed off since.  Better ground today than he has experienced of late (last 5 runs have come on Soft or worse) and 5 of his 7 wins have come on Good to Soft or better.  First time visor could sharpen him up and Garner takes off a use 3lb.

4.30 Newmarket - Mahsoob @ 5/1 William Hill

This one was prominent in the King George betting last summer and is clearly still very highly rated as he carries a Lockinge entry. He was keen over 12f last year and connections believe he is getting quicker with age. They also say he looks great after being freshened up as his form tailed off towards the end of last season. He already has strong form and still looks unexposed.
