Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 4.45 Sedge Mighty Cliche 7/2 paddy power Not the greatest card ever , this one only had 5 starts over fences with last coming two starts back at Ayr , finishing 3.25L behind Present Lodger who won nto off a 6lb higher mark which looks to be the best form on offer. Ran over hurdles lto off 78 but can take advantage of a lesser chase mark of 73 when it lines up today. Hughes takes the ride and is 2 wins , 3 2nds and 2 top 3 finishes from the 8 chasers hes ridden for Sayer at the track.

Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 Chelmsford 7.10 - Wordiness (1pts win, 16/1 Betfred) Returned from 15 months off the track with a 3rd of 7 placed finish here at the track just over 2 weeks ago and that run should set him up nicely for this one. There are some younger opponents here open to more improvement but Wordiness has a decent All Weather record winning 3 times a 2 times runner up and 2 third placed efforts from 12 AW starts and could well outrun these odds.

Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 Musselburgh 2:20 - Bobs Legend WIN @ 16/1 Ladbrokes Has not shown the best of form in recent starts but if you go back to last season, he has showed form well capable of winning a race of this nature. Was 2nd at Southwell off 1 pound lower and won with a bit to spare at Stratford last season. In such a small field he is worth a go.

Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 18.15 Meydan: District One - Class 1 Handicap This is an ultra competitive looking handicap, and nothing else is expected. The two at head of the market have obvious credentials to take this. Both Eastern Rules and Anaerobio proved themselves in Group class in the past and their return to Meydan in the Group 2 Al Fahidi was promising as well, with Eastern Rules chasing home Safety Check as the runner-up, while Anaerobio was quite unlucky not getting a clear passage, but finished very strongly. These two are very closely matched on previous form, but I would believe Anaerobio with a weight advantage this time could turn around the form. That says, I feel both are fair prices, but not really too big, so I look elsewhere. You could make a case for plenty in this field, though two horses are stand-out prices in my mind. Music Theory is one of them, even though the big odds are diminishing fast. This lightly raced Godolphin gelding has caught my eye on two occasions now. He usually travelles extremely well and certainly did so on his seasonal reappearance when he finished 3rd behind subsequent Group 2 winner Safety Check. He got an absolute horror run that day though but finished like a train when in the clear. It's been a different picture two weeks ago, when he stepped up to 1m. He was right up with the pace and travelled like the winner for a very long time. However he faded pretty badly inside the final furlong. That is no surprise to me. He looks like a 7f specialist and the drop to this trip will certainly help him today. An additional pound off his handicap mark won't do any harm either. One has to keep in mind that Music Theory was a very promising juvenile when he finished once less than three lengths behind Kingman in the Solario Stakes. Talent is there, and there could be still more to come from him. The second horse I believe has a much better chance than his big price tag, is the experienced Professor. His mark is dropping down to something that could see him go really close today. He returned to track two weeks ago in a hot mile handicap, which potentially stretches his stamina a bit. But he was also pretty badly hampered in the home straight when he was about to make a big move. He still ran on well I felt and that outing could bring him nicely along for today. It has to be said he didn't have quite as a productive last season as one would have hoped, however a very strong runner-up at Royal Ascot in the big Wokingham Handicap and some decent performances on Group level, proved that he is a very genuine individual. With a clear run today, he could be very dangerous dropping down to the ideal 7f trip. Music Theory @ 8/1 Coral

Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 3.50 Huntingdon: Brother Tedd 3/1 bet365/Skybet Only 4 turn up for the Sydney Banks Hurdle but all four could win in my opinion. I reckon Different Gravey is just the fav due to Henderson as his form is a bit suspect. He was the lesser fancied of the yards runners at Newbury but the other one was left at the start and last time out looked in need of more experience. He could turn out to be useful but he's poor value here. Kylemore Lough has won 3 races, one very luckily, the other two he won easily but beat nothing so this is a big test today, i'm not sure he's value either. The outsider is A Vos Gardes and i reckon can be given a squeak on his Donny run, definitely improved for the stamina test and this trip/ground will suit. My selection is Brother Tedd from the Hobbs yard, now he finished behind Different Gravey last time but were contesting 4th and 6th and the race had gone. Richard Johnson couldn't ride Brother Tedd and the race was messy so i'm not worried about that form. He was very impressive when winning twice at Kempton and also won here as a bumper horse so that suggests the quick sharp tracks are suited so last time at Cheltenham would have been a shock to the system also. At 3/1 i think he's the pick in a very interesting little race and i'm sure Dicky will get the tactics right if it gets silly early on which wouldn't suit the Henderson horse who will pull the jockey all over the shop.

Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 6.40 Chelmsford ADA LOVELACE @ 22/1 WHills Outsider of the field but 3lb better off with the For Aayman for 1 3/4l on his last run, got held wide for the most part of that race and it was his first run for the best part of 5 months. Should come on for the race and looks to have a race in him off 70. Claimer takes off a useful 3lb.

Re: Nap of the Day - Thursday 19th Feb 2015 17:05 Meydan: ARTIGIANO @ 10/1 BetVictor ARTIGIANO (5) made an encourageing return to action coming home 3rd to I´m Back over C&D last month when covered 23 metres extra. Charlie Appleby's charge performed with credit at Group level in the past and it would be no surprise to see him come back to winning ways now equipped with blinkers.
