That 3.40 at Ripon is one of the races I looked at last night before moving on because I couldn't make my mind up
My concern about the Fav, Gurkhas, illustrates a general pattern that I look for and being 'general' it might not apply in specific cases. But in general I'm not keen on horses that slide down the weights over a period of time, reach a low point, win, then go back up again. Gurkhas reached 94 a year ago then took 7 losing runs to get back down to 83 and to win again. Now he's back up to 91. I think of these horses as 'long term decliners' ……… in decline but eventually get down to a mark off which they can win then they go back up and start losing again until they get back down below that winning mark …….. because basically they're still in decline …….. so he might not win again now until he gets below 83
If he did have a medical problem which has now been solved (the ulcers) then maybe there's an excuse for his decline and he might be able to get back up to the 90s again in which case he's still well handicapped …… that's a judgment you have to make with whatever knowledge you've got,.. it's not an exact science !
But anyway for today ……. I'd rather be on Dawaaleeb 
 

Thanks for the comments, I was looking at the 8.30 yesterday. I see you tip Denmead which likes it at Kempton and I imagine will try to control the race from the front. I think this will set it up for Quothquan! So i’m On each way!

Yes I looked at this race last night although I have another horse on my tracker who also runs well here in Bahrikate, always seems to find one to good! I’m on Each Way! 

TBH I wasn’t that impressed with a few of its last runs, I don’t see why it should turn the form with Shenanigans and I’m more impressed with Wilamina which I’ve backed each way!

2.15 Southwell - Warriors Legacy
I backed a horse called Rock On Baileys in a class 5 and it beat Warriors by about a length. I would have a big bet if it didn’t have such a wide draw. Although I’m willing to take a chance at a generous 3/1, probably down to the draw. With a decent jockey on board I’m hoping he can get away and being a very speedy sort I can see this happening and I would be very confident. You could alternatively play in  running once you’ve seen the break! Or will the odds tumble?
On BillyHills race! I watched the videos of Cousin Khee and I was quiet impressed with this horse. I think it’s between this horse and Western Way. I’m backing both with marginally more on Cousin!

I will watch this race with more interest. I was thinking Mr Moore might need to kid him and place him near the post, Then Richard pops up with Athletico 17 points clear of Mine to add a bit more spice into the mix. This should be a great race, i just hope it doesn't end up been a damp squid.

Im not to far from Southend FC! A good vibe that they will win today. 

I’ve been discussing Lingfield with a few betting chums! This is my 3 bets so far.
I have a free bet in the 1.45 Lingfield so due to the speed angle I’m playing each way on Towerlands Park.
In the 2.55 I’ve now backed Atletico at 9/4. I put Encore in detention after it’s last run and on form with Gracious John Atletico should have the beating of Encore. I am covering this though.
In the 3.30 I’ve heard they expect Headway to win today so this is my main bet at an eye catching 6/4.
 

3.20 Southwell Brotherley Company
I backed this earlier at 2/1, and in looking at the prices now I see it has flip flopped. I can honestly say I fancied this to the original fav even though it had better marks on the other codes. For this race and track I have put my money on my pick.
 
 

Apologies your race is a Hurdle race which we wasn’t talking about, more chasers! An interesting topic though!

With the Tizzard yard going well this could be the day Quiz Master gets his reward for some very consistent performances. One of his best runs this season was here over C/D on decent ground. He runs off the same mark as last time when a good third at Chepstow in the mud and looks like a solid EW bet to nothing.

Hi guys had a big whisper for this today, COMPATRIOT in the 5.40 at Wolverhampton around 6/4 was as big as 5/2 last night, they reckon the hcap ,ark of 52 is laughable and should be in the 70's can run up a sequence over the next month, been bought out of JJ Murphy Yard in Ireland were he ran well in  £6K races without winning, looks well in here, they have also bought over MISS L O NEILL from Gordon Elliott Yard to ride it in this amateur riders race.

I backed this last night at 7/2! Likes this track with a second latest and also down a1lb. Back to 5f with a plumb draw. My main bet today. I’m waiting on a text for a Kempton horse a bit later, only to be told if it’s running well! I will post later if it arrives.
