Everyone is bad mouthing Arsenal, but I think you have to give Palace a lot of credit. Game plan and tactics were brilliant. Work rate excellent. Palace are a decent side. They just had a terrible time under Pardew. It's amazing to see Zaha coming on. He has 9 assists this season. AT 12.5million he was Fergie's gift to Moyes (who wouldn't know talent if it hit him on the forehead), who never played him. It's a pity that Allerdyce crapped the bed at England, because I think they could have done things. Southgate, come on, wet behind the ears.
I think the Man United v Chelsea game will be interesting for the following reasons...
    1) Mourinho lost twice to Chelsea this season. Shown up in the league game. It has to be burning him.
    2) He would love to throw a spnner in their Championship ambitions, Especially to those guys that betrayed him last season.
    3) He needs to see how far Man United are off the pace, are they able to play with these guys ?
I don't think you can make a bet, until you see the Thursday night Europa. If United score early, he will take players off, and close up. That game determines a lot about the starting 11 on Sunday.

Again I go with the HT/FT Spurs win over Bournemouth. At the moment no team is playing better than Spurs. They are dominant at home, and opponents cannot stop/contain their wingbacks / fullbacks. Bournemouth have taken 6 points out of a possible 30, and I think their troubles continue.

I think the 1.75 is a decent price for the HT/FT HW.

MOTIVATION !MOTIVATION !MOTIVATION !MOTIVATION !MOTIVATION !MOTIVATION !MOTIVATION !
Find teams that are motivated, either to win something (European places, avoid relegation etc). These teams will make you money.
Two middle of the table, nothing to lose or gain teams against each other will produce goals. They can't get into Europe, they can't be relegated, they are already on holiday. Just cruising the rest of the season, and trying not to  pick up an injury.
I really like Spurs to smack Watford in the early kickoff. I think it's a proper hiding.
    HT/FT home win 1.73
    Win to nil 1.83 Spurs

How can Leicester be so bad under Ranieri this season ? It defies belief, and yet under new management they are winning games easily. It's bizarre. They have won their last 3 home league games all by a 2 goal margin. Now they are up against a Sunderland team that;'s low on everything.
Sunderland have failed to score in 8 of their last 10 away 1st half games. They did manage 4 against Crystal Palace  which is insane. It's dawning on the Sunderland players that next season is Championship football. They all want out, and are secretly, probably sick of David Moyes. While others are looking forward to the Summer break, these guys are looking for the Summer Escape !
Agents phone are buzzing off the hook !
I expect Leicester to win this easily. The home win is crappy, but the Home WIN HT/FT could be the bet here at odds of 2.3

Thanks for the mention, but I was way off this weekend.
Sunderland must really rue the day Allardyce became England manager. Trade him in and land up with an overpaid, underskilled manager like David Moyes. Clueless in terms of motivating, or getting a team fired up. The Man United job proved to be way to big for him, but he has shown no ability in the two posts after that. In what kind of sick world does a decent, yet hopelessly out of his depth, man earn 9 million pounds for 8 months work. How F___d up is this world ?  NEWCASTLE will have the last laugh, as they pass SUNDERLAND going in the other direction. I don't think that Sunderland will find an automatic promotion spot next season. In Moyes they have a lead balloon, that could anchor them to the Championship for a few seasons to come...
Jose Mourinho made me laugh today. Every time I see that bushy haired octopus (Fellaini), in the starting line-up, I know they are doomed. Can you name a worse player that played so many games for Man United ? Bebe, or maybe Mark Bosnic ? Fellani just has nothing.  No pace. No Skill. No engine. No clue.
He is Man United's most consistent player this season. Consistently useless on all levels.
Then Mourinho hauls his only hope of breaking WBA down (Mikatarian) off. WTF is that ? Surely you don't need to play 2 holding midfielders against an average team like WBA, at home ?  What exactly is plan - B ? Is there a plan B ?
How many goals have United scored from the 500 crosses they have made this season ?  Maybe 5 .... no more than 8. What kind of style is playing at zero speed, shipping the ball sideways, and aimlessly crossing the ball. This style of play is brutal, and boring and fkg dreadful.
Then he makes some ridic remark about how only one team wanted to play. Get real, Fergie had to deal with that for 20 years and he figured out how. Go and ask him for a lesson !!!

The one game I do like for goals is the Sunderland game. SUNDERLAND I hear you say . Get fkg real !
This is why I like them ...
As bad as Moyes is (and he is bad), he is not stupid... He understands that draws will not get it done. To survive Sunderland need to find 2 more wins than the other 5 teams at the bottom of the league. Assume Palace, Leicester and Swansea win 2 more games, and find 3 draws  out of their last 10. That means Sunderland need 15 points or better to survive. It has to start here, and they will prob need 2 goals (min) to win. They will have to open up, and play a more attacking game. They have no choice. They are not going into this game with 10 defenders and 1 striker.
In my opinion they  have a mountain to play for in these last 10 games. They have an easy, if not the easiest run in (playing top opposition only 3 times). They play their direct competition 5 times which excludes 2 home games (against West Ham and Bournemouth)
1-Apr Watford   Sunderland 4-Apr Leicester City   Sunderland 9-Apr Sunderland   Manchester Utd 15-Apr Sunderland   West Ham Utd 22-Apr Arsenal   Sunderland 26-Apr Middlesbrough   Sunderland 29-Apr Sunderland   Bournemouth 6-May Hull City   Sunderland 13-May Sunderland   Swansea City 21-May Chelsea   Sunderland They can survive but it all starts by winning this game against Watford. ANd to win they will need goals,  FOr me the over 2.5 goals at odds over 2.05 s the way to go.

In game betting West Ham v Chelsea
Chelsea are away to West Ham on Monday night. Away games are tough to win, even for Chelsea.
West Ham will be fired up for the game. Chelsea are at odds of 1.6 to win the game.
What is your best BETTING strategy ?
My feeling is to bet a game like this in-play. If Chelsea score the 1st goal they will probably drop down to 2.5 to 10 to win the game.
Is knowing they are 1 goal up worth a .35 reduction in price ? I think the answer is YES !
If West Ham score 1st you have the option not to get involved at all. You also get to see some of the action, and how both teams are playing, before you commit your money.    The in-play bet gives you far more flexibility with your bets !

Its a new strategy that I am trying. Won 6 bets in a row with it yesterday. England in the cricket, Spurs over Everton, Dustin Johnson in WGC, Marseille over Lorient, Las Palmas over Malaga and Inter over Cagliari. Much smaller odds, but a bigger chance of success.
You win less, but you win more often ...
    Interested in any thoughts ...

Some interesting stats regarding the Spurs v. Everton game.
Three teams have not won an away 1st half in a league game this season.
Everton, Leicester and Burnley.  Everton have managed just 4 1st half away goals in 13 games.
They have drawn 9 of 13 1st half away games, which is league leading with MIddlesbrough.

The hottest team in the EPL in the last 6 home games (Tottenham).
They have won all 6, scoring 16 goals and conceding just 1.
It's hard to look beyond a SPurs win here, but where are the best bets.
I really like the Spurs win HT/FT here. Spurs have won 5 of their last 7 HT/FT at home, keeping 6 clean sheets. The SPurs HT/FT is priced at 2.45
The SPurs win to nil is priced at  2.75 , and also looks good.

On a weekend I always take a punt on soccer 13. It's affiliated with Svenkaspel in Sweden. You need to get 13 games right. One of the things that helps you win money, is finding the potential upset games. So if all the favorites win, you may get 13 results, but you share the pool with many, winning nothing. SO you need to find at least 2 upsets every week.
If I look at the EPL games this weekend I just see no value on Arsenal. Hull are showing some form. They drew with Man United, beat United, and beat Liverpool. Form wise they are flying. Can they repeat the formula against Arsenal (who lost twice last week) ? Why not ! I think Hull look a much better unit than Watford ...
Can you imagine the mood in that stadium after 35 minutes, when it's still 0-0. Can Hull keep it close, and snatch a goal ? The longer they do this the more pressure gets heaped on Arsenal, and the uglier the mood will become. Their game plan is obvious. Defend well, frustrate, and hopefully catch em from a set piece or a break, when Arsenal over commit later on.
The closeness of the relegation battle has these teams fired up. They are thinking 'we can survive and get out of this'. There is no 'Aston Villa' scenario from last season, where they just gave up. With a 6 team, close relegation battle, 36 points will survive this season. All these battlers are highly motivated, because they can all save themselves (halleluja)
I have a small wager on Hull to win at 15
I'm  little wary of Everton away from home. It's hard to win consistently on the road. Only very good teams, on top form can do it, and I feel that Everton are still a work in progress.
My other surprise result is Burnley vrs Chelsea. At some stage Chelsea are going to miss a gear and have a bad day. It's not like they have been banging in away goals. In 4 of their last 5 away they have managed 1 goal or less. So they will probably need 2 goals to win this, considering that Burnley have scored in their last 8 at home. I rate Sean Dyche. A really underrated manager, at an 'unfashionable' club. What he has achieved there is nothing short of a miracle !
Double chance on Burnley is 3 , while the Burnley win is 9. I think Burnley have to play a tight 1st half here. The HT draw, Burnley win is priced at 21.
Those are my two upsets, and if one of them comes in I would be happy. Good luck for the weekend !

The Under 2.5 goals in the Man United game is at 2.4 which is pretty good odds. United are not getting it done in terms of blasting in goals. The pace at which they play is still not good enough. It's somewhere between van Gaal and a really top team, and it's easy to defend against.

One thing I do with bets. When a game could go any way you need to bet smaller amounts and find bigger odds.
A perfect example this weekend is the Burnley v Sunderland game. Merson (Sky) thinks it's 2-0. Lawrenson (BBc) expects 1-2. I think there is nothing between these teams, and have gone 1-1. Sunderland will set up with 8 defenders and 2 or 3 players on the break. They are not going to score many, especially on the road.
So where is the value ? For me I would be going HT draw and full time (Burnley 5.5) or Sunderland 7, instead of Burnley or Sunderland to win, with a small bet.
Similar game Swansea v Bournemouth. I am just not risking money on these games. These teams are streaky and  unpredictable.
One game that really interests me is Arsenal v Palace. Allerdyce has a far better squad at Palace than he had at Sunderland. This squad is miles better. They have attacking players in abundance, and if/when they tighten up their defense they will be a tough nut to crack. Allerdyce will come up with a rock solid, understandable, executable game plan, that could throw up the surprise of the weekend.  I may take a small punt on the HT draw, Crystal Palace win here at 26 to 1 (bet365).
It's such a pity that he was forced out of the England job, because I really believe he could have taken England places. For me Gareth Southgate is just too green and wet behind the ears.
I have something on my site call the Merson challenge. I am taking on Merson and Lawrenson every week. One thing they definitely do better than me is get more exact scores in games. Last week they both had 2 and I had none. That exact score is a sucker-punch bet, that should be avoided.

Here's some interesting stats for the Premier league. Home form 1st half
3 teams have not lost a home first half
    Leicester W4 D4 L0 Goals For 7 Against 1
    Burnley  W5 D4 L0 For 9 Against 2
    Arsenal W3 D5 L0 For 10 Against 5
Only Man City have won more 1st half games than Burnley, but they have also lost 2 1st halves at home.
Burnley have 7 1st half clean sheets (they have played Everton, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Arsenal, Man CIty)
Burnley win HT/FT is priced at 5 and is my best bet of the EPL weekend.

The only way Sunderland can play this game is tight, hoping to score from a break or a set piece. They just don't have the players to play an open game here. The concern for United is that they have not scored more than 1 goal in any of their last 5 home games
Both teams have heavy 1st half draw stats. United with 4 of their last 5 at home, while Sunderland have drawn 6 of their last 7 away. In Sunderland's last 7 away, they have also drawn 5 games 0-0. I think United will find a way to win, while SUnderland will probably not score.
The no to BTTS is 1.53
The HT draw Man United FT is 4

Having watched United against Everton, I have to disagree with Jose.
He consistently states that United are unlucky, but the truth is, is that they are not very good. Rojo should have got his marching orders for a horrible 2 footed ankle breaker. How he can bring on Fellaini, is beyond me. The man looks like a hairy Octapus with soccer boots on.
But United were really average to poor throughout the game against Everton. One 'lucky' goal from Zlatan, but what else did they create ? Two or Three chances at most ... But they look awful in midfield. These long balls up to a front player are just so weak, and outdated. He has not found a way to get any of his starting 11 playing better than they played last year (and last year they were terrible).
Who is outperforming expectations ? For me no-one in this team exceeds my expectations. How is this possible ?
    A) The front man battles to control the ball with at least 2 defenders on them, and the 2nd defender normally picks up the scraps.
    B) The pass is just to looong and to slooow. The link between front man and midfield is too big. A perfect example was Pogba, who  had a stinker of a game.
For me Mourinho picked his strongest team today, and they were average.
As stated before, they can't put a back-to-back performance together, and in truth they deserve to be 9 points off the CL spots.
This Man United team is not capable of beating Spurs next week. Spurs are incapable of winning on the road, so that fixture screams 1-1 draw, or some low scoring borefeast. I happily stayed away from the United game, and picked up a seriously good weekend with 10 predictions winning out of 10, which is freaky

Quite funny, because Man United are definitely not pulling up trees. Europa league game was as boring as watching paint dry.
Mourinho just seems so flat, dour, sad. All well to blame the players, but needs to pull his head outta his and show people why he earns the big bucks.
No shots on goal until the 80th minute, sideways backwards movement, against a very average Fenerbache team.
How do you play a whole game in front of your opposition. Rooney and Zlantan are past their sell by dates.
Two defenders in Blind and Rojo that are basically Championship standard.
United are so awful at the moment, with horrid away form.   Swansea definitely are not dead and buried in this game.

In the EPL last 7 games Hull are the worst team. They have 1 point out of 21. Then come Swansea and Sunderland (2 points).
Hull have not been losing games. They have been getting smashed. They have lost their last 5, all by at least a 2 goal margin. See more of the same today at Watford. If you consider that Sunderland and Hull, will be awful this season, it will really be 1 other team relegated. Low 30 points will probably be safe. It will also mean a slightly higher points total for the Premier league winner, simply because you have two (Aston Villa's) this season.
Mourinho has so many problems at United, but surely the easiest one is to find a decent place to live, and hire a cook. The man earns 11 million a year. Stop being such a cheapskate !! Being in hotels for months at a time is soul destroying (this I know 1st hand). Find a place that gives you private, tranquil space, and spend some money on a bed that gives you a perfect nights sleep. This is basic stuff.
For me United dropping 2 points against Stoke, was far worse than losing to Chelsea. Chelsea away tough game ! Stoke at home, with the form they were in .... gimme 3 points.  No value on United to win but the over 2.5 goals looks good.
