Jeez, show's how much I know
Rangers were pretty impressive, although it was a pretty disgraceful performance from Hibs. Alarm bells are starting to sound for the manager, he needs to bounce back from this quickly

What about your boys today, Ally? Reckon you can get a win? How are you feeling about this season based on what you've seen so far?
I'm going to wait on the lineup to be announced before I decide if i'm having a bet, initial thoughts are that Hibs are massively overpriced at 10.00 so maybe some sort of handicap bet would be the way to go. We have a very good record at Ibrox in recent seasons and we're capable of getting a result there today if certain things go our way, keep it tight and don't lose an early goal and anything can happen. I'm not convinced this Rangers team has improved from last season, the way the media go on about them, you'd think we were playing Barcelona. While I think they're over rated, it's always a very difficult place to go. I certainly think Hibs can score at least once. I think we could be in for a good season with the addition of a couple more players, pacy winger Glenn Middleton arrives next week and with hopefully 1 more striker and a defensive mid to come, a top 4 finish looks realistic.

St Mirren vs Aberdeen
I'll leave @allyhibs to cover the Rangers versus Hibernian game and focus on this other Scottish Premier League clash between St Mirren and Aberdeen that's scheduled to kick-off at 3pm on Sunday afternoon at St Mirren Park. Celtic are the only side with a 100% record after their two games so far and this is a chance for the Dons to stay in touch with the reigning champions.
St Mirren suffered a 1-0 loss on the opening day of the new SPL season to Hibernian. It's not been a great start to the season as a whole for Jim Goodwin's side. They've only managed one win in their four Scottish League Cup group games which saw them fail to qualify for the next round. Another defeat here could start to heap the pressure on the Buddies very early in the season.
Aberdeen have been in competitive action for a month now due to their progress in the Europa League. Derek McInnes has guided his men to the 3rd Qualifying Round and also saw his team win their opening day league game with a 3-2 win over Hearts. Two goals in the last 10 minutes seeing them come back from 2-1 to take all three points. It feels like the fighting spirit is still there within this side.
There is a gulf in class between these two sides. Aberdeen should be sharper having been playing competitive matches for a while now. Something simply isn't right with St Mirren and at the moment they look like a side set for a relegation dogfight. I think this is Aberdeen's game to lose and one cheeky bet to also consider is backing their striker Sam Cosgrove to score because he's now bagged 8 in his last 6 games for the club.
Aberdeen to Win @ 1.85 with Unibet
Anytime Scorer: Sam Cosgrove @ 2.50 with 888Sport
I'm with you on this Stevie, Aberdeen should win this and anything round about 1.80 is a decent price.

Good win again last night, kinda kicking myself I didn't back Shankland to score, the boy scores for fun.
Queen of the South v Dunfermline.
Dunfermline were superb last week in their draw with Dundee, especially in the first half. A repeat performance here could land them the 3 points against a side who struggled in a 0 - 0 draw with newly promoted Arbroath in their opener. Odds are just enough to tempt me.
Dunfermline @ 2.20 - 0.5 pts
-
Dunfermline (2) 2.62
20 pts
-
Partick v Dundee Utd
A little bit of value on the away win here I think. Talk of turmoil behind the scenes at Partick and a less than impressive display on the opening day last week. Convincing win last week by Utd with goal machine Lawrence Shankland starting the season on fire.
Dundee United @ 2.35 - 1 pt.

Yeeehaaa, fitba's back
Hibernian v St Mirren.
Close season has seen a lot of transfer activity in sunny Leith with a number of players leaving the club and half a team of newcomers arriving. Pre season has been decent, coming through the League Cup group with ease while rotating the squad and looking stronger with each passing game. Looking at the squad as a whole I think we look stronger than last season and with 1 or 2 more additions before the transfer window closes, I think we'll be challenging for 3rd/ 4th place. There's chat online about St Mirren struggling to put a full team together today, I also think they're relegation candidates this season. This looks a straight forward home win for the Hibees and I think they'll do it comfortably.
Hibs @ 1.47 - 3 pts.
Hibs -1 @ 2.37 - 0.5 pts.
Solid enough start to the season, could easily have been 3 or 4 nil, hit the post twice, goal ruled out wrongly for offside when the player was clearly a couple of yards onside and a candidate for miss of the season already.
Always good to get profit in the bank early.

Well he's not going to get transfer funds at Newcastle
Ashley has squeezed that tangerine into a dried managerless husk.
Whoever replaces Benitez will be on a zero hours contract and beaten with sticks if they so much as try to claim sandwich and chocolate bar money on expenses.
Good point ?
I still think Gerrard could be available soon though.
-
Gerrard could be a shout, I think he's angling for a way out of Ibrox because of lack of the transfer funds he wants.
-
Have to agree with everyone, Arsenal have to backed at the odds available. Not full bank though, that's crazy talk, 1 unit will do Also had a wee punt on Azpilicueta to be carded at 4.50.

Berwick v Cove.
I've been thinking about this game all week and i'm convinced there's value in the away win. Cove are a far better team than Berwick and confirmed that with a thumping 4-0 win in the first leg. Tie over. The question is 'How do Cove approach this game?' Do they sit in, defend, spoil the game and see it out or do they open up and play, probably strolling to a comfortable win against weaker opposition. I think the latter, don't really see any reason why they won't.
Cove @ 1.91.
-
He could be a shout for next Celtic manager, no chance of Neil Lennon getting it permanently.
-
Rangers v Hibs.
After Celtic winning the league yesterday, the atmosphere at Ibrox today could be a little flat and may affect the Rangers players. Hibs have a very good record at Ibrox in recent years, winning there a few times, we're also unbeaten by Rangers this season. The odds on the away win here are ridiculous and simply have to be backed, Hibs need a win to keep their faint European hopes alive so will be going for the win, could be a high scoring game this. I've had a small stake on Hibs to win at 8.50 but a much larger stake on
Hibs +1 @ 2.90. Value, Value, Value.
-
Hearts v Kilmarnock.
Kilmarnock can virtually end Hibs European hopes with 3 points at Tynecastle today. Hearts are a poor side, I'm still in disbelief that they somehow stole a point at Easter Road last week after being completely outplayed by Hibs. Kilmarnock are a very decent side and the odds on the away win look good to me.
Kilmarnock win @ 2.62.
-
-
Hibs v Hearts.
Hibs came out on top in the reverse fixture at Tynecastle just a couple of weeks ago and the same result can be expected here. Hearts shown that day how one dimensional their play is. Punt it up the park to try to win set pieces, then launch it into the box to their giant lump of a centre half. Once Hibs got to grip with these outdated tactics, we started to get the ball down and play a bit and there only looked like one winner in the second half. Hearts defence looks really slow, Hibs can exploit that today on the big Easter Road pitch for a comfortable win. Hibs to win by at least 2 goals.
A very confident Hibs win @ 2.20.

Not a particularly exciting game, the best part was when Spurs managed to finally slip one in. Well done to Brighton. Pity they couldn't go the full ninety without exposing a crack in their Defence. And there I was thinking it would be like an after party in Michael Barrymore's swimming pool.
Give it a rest. Wasn't funny the first time, now you just sound like a dick.

I am on a treble this week, I can see Wolves winning convincingly against an out of form Brighton side so it is -1 for me. Later in the week I expect Tottenham to keep up the pressure to Brighton's sphincter until they're shitting blood so this will also be on the -1 and then finally next week I am adding Newcastle to win with a healthy handicap against you guessed in Brighton, who ironically will need a wheelchair by then what with the prolapsed anus and all.
Treble x -1 on Brighton getting buggered in every game comes in at 11.5.
Are you 13 years old?

Forfar v Dumbarton.
Forfar have a very good home record and are fighting it out for a 2nd place finish. They've beaten Dumbarton 3 times already this season and I expect them to do it again today. Dumbarton do score a few goals but they concede a lot as well and are generally pretty poor on the road. The odds on the home win look a shade high to me.
Forfar win @ 2.40.
-
Ross County v Dunfermline.
Ross County could take a huge stride to the title with a win tonight and I'm surprised they're not odds on.
Ross County @ 2.00 has a tiny touch of value.
