  1. Got to agree with @willie82 above, Cove look a good thing today but at current odds of 1.50 I think it's one for the accumulators. Kilmarnock v Hibernian. I'm still wondering how Hibs didn't win last week at Ross County, we played some very decent stuff at times and could easily have won by 4 or 5 goals, 26 shots on goal and not one hitting the net tells it's own story and I'm getting the feeling we're due to give someone a hammering soon. A performance anywhere like last week should see an away win here at what I think look decent odds. Hibs @ 2.40 - 1pt. Alloa v Dunfermli
  2. Rangers have been impressive this season, they're a very good side and could cause Standard a few problems, they'll certainly be in a very positive mood after just beating Celtic. With the news of players missing for the home side, backing Rangers looks tempting but I think I'd be looking for better odds than the 2.05 that's widely available. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if they got a result though, as far as I can tell, they look like they're at full strength tonight.
  3. Dundee Utd v Aberdeen. After a decent start to the season, Dundee Utd have fell away a bit, I've not been impressed at all by the new manager, far too defensive. Aberdeen are a far better side and should be odds on here. Aberdeen @ 2.10 - 2pts. Dunfermline v Inverness. Dunfermline have had big financial investment over the summer and look like they've recruited well, they look a better side than Inverness and the odds for the home win look decent. Dunfermline @ 2.45 - 1pt. Ross County v Hibernian. Straightforward away win on the cards here but I think the boo
  4. Could pay to have a wee bet on penalties in every Hearts game this season, doesn't matter who the ref is, they'll get loads mate.
  5. Hearts v Dundee. I wish I saw @harry_ragpenalty tip for the Hearts v Raith game during the week, would've reminded me about the unbelievable amount of penalties Hearts get awarded, playing for penalties is a tactic they're very good at. Penalty taken @ 3.40 - 1pt.
  6. I don't know why I'm so surprised, it's been happening for years.
  7. In a country so dominated by 2 clubs, it's weird how there's no Rangers or Celtic players starting for Scotland tonight. Oh wait! It's the Glasgow derby next weekend, silly me!
  8. Scotland v Slovakia. With Steve Clarke continuing to bore everyone to sleep, I can't quite believe Scotland are odds on to win this. Slovakia aren't exactly world beaters but they look overpriced to beat a side who played 120 minutes the other night and didn't get 1 shot on target against the might of Israel. I could never bet on my team to lose however, so my bet for this has to be the same as the Israel game, under goals. Under 1.5 goals @ 2.75 - 1pt. Israel v Czech Republic. The Czech C team were impressive against Scotland and were unbelievably unlucky not to win the ga
  9. I don't believe it, McTominay starts at the back, absolutely clueless from Clarke.
  10. I agree, I don't necessarily blame Clarke, it's a thankless task being Scotland manager, it's just his character is rather dour and negative, just like his football. In the Czech game, his experiment with McTominay at the back clearly failed, he is just not a defender, if he plays him there again tonight he loses my support. The group of players at the moment are strong in midfield, ridiculously strong at left back and that's about it, until we can find a striker and centre half then we just can't compete against the better countries. Who knows, maybe they're both at my team (Porteous and Nesb
  11. Yeah, it's been really disappointing since Clark came in, we look terrible, the players don't look like they're buying into his methods. Still can't believe we got a result against the Czech C team, they were miles better than us.
  12. Agree completely @BrandNew, I wouldn't bet on Scotland with someone else's money. If I was forced to bet on this game it would be on under goals, I don't think this'll be an entertaining goal fest, 1 goal either way could win it.
  13. Hibs were superb for 70 minutes on Friday night and could easily have been 5 or 6 up if it wasn't for the Hamilton goalie playing a blinder, we then got a bit sloppy, conceding a penalty then an own goal but it was far more comfortable than the scoreline suggests. St Johnstone v Celtic. Obviously there's a gulf in quality between the two sides here, if Celtic turn up then there's only one outcome, I can't believe how big the odds are for Celtic beating the -1 handicap. Obvious value here. Celtic -1 @ 2.10 - 2pts.
  14. Hibernian v Hamilton. After Sundays disaster, this is a quick opportunity to win some losses back. Hibs are a level above Hamilton and should be winning this comfortably. Hibs Ht/ Ft @ 2.25 - 4pts.
  15. Celtic v Hibernian. Hibs travel to Parkhead today with the same team that drew with Rangers last week, it's an attacking 352 lineup, so an open high scoring game looks on the cards. The odds for the Hibs win is the same as last week and you have to think that's overpriced. I'm pretty much thinking the same way as last week also, Hibs could win this and at the odds you have to back it. I think they'll definitely score at least once and feel pretty confident for a max bet. Hibs @ 9.50 - 0.5pt. Hibs +2 @ 1.80 - 4pts. Hibs to score @ 1.80 - 4pts.
  16. I did consider a handicap bet Steve but it would've meant higher stakes at lower odds, probably. I wanted to keep the stakes down as wasn't massively confident, turned a good profit in the end though. WTF Aberdeen!!!!!
  17. Hibernian v Rangers. It looks to me like Hibs are lining up to have a go at Rangers today so could see a few goals scored. Rangers have looked pretty decent so far this season, they've not conceded a goal yet but I think that ends today, I'd back this Hibs team to score against anyone. They're missing a couple of they're first picks today, also a couple of days after a European trip, this could be a good time to play them, I'm not saying Hibs will definitely win this but they have more of a chance than the odds are suggesting. Hibs @ 9.00 - 0.5pt. Hibs To Score First Half @ 3.25
  18. I read some wag online earlier re. the goalkeeper situation at St Mirren ' They've had to quarantine 3 keepers who've maybe caught something to playing a keeper who's never caught anything' 😂
