I think it was you that said any winner is a good bet.
I'm struggling to imagine anybody on this thread saying the above. Some of my best bets have been losers and some of my worst have been winners. A winner at 10 to 1 on that should have been 5 to 1 on is a bad bet and that will show if bets like that keep being taken. Conversely a loser at 10 to 1 that should have been 5 to 1 is a good bet and that will show if bets like that keep being taken.

Yeah, I was looking through at upsets and I wanted to lay Allen but the fact this is "his event" I thought he'd find a way to the latter stages, to be honest. If he had faced somebody half decent I might have had a try but very surprised by the result tbh.
Perhaps he's had more bad news on his finances.
I think I read a coach of his had died. Someone he trusted when it came to technical advice. Combine that with the technical problem he says he has at the moment and that explains the lack of confidence in his potting.

yeah, but like you say, against Petrov? not the easiest one to find. Also the defending champion here.
You'd think he'd have raised his game for this, but he was something like 70 percent pot success in the first three or four frames. That's not beating anyone on tour even if they are at the bottom of the rankings. He was flattered in the last round too, which was something else to consider. The score against Mertens didn't tell the story of how poor Allen played. Mertens must be kicking himself, as he had chances but didn't take them unlike Petrov.
-
Hindsight being a beautiful thing, Allen was ripe for the upset last night. Complaining about the tour, problems with his action, out of form and issues off the table. Having said all that, it takes some going to lose to Petrov. He's that poor he'll be lucky if he keeps his card.

I'm also going to take a few outright picks. With a few big names missing here, it could be wide open if Trump goes early.
1pt e/w Gilbert 331 Coral
1pt e/w G.Wilson 40/1 Coral
1pt e/w Haotian 50/1 Bet365
-------------------------------
0.5pts e/w Ford 80/1 CoralGilbert at 331 looks worth it @Fader
About your Brown bet, I'm sure I read that Robertson is taking a break from snooker soon - possibly burnout I'm not sure. If that's right then his motivation right now is unlikely to be high which makes the Brown bet look even better.

Nice one @four-leaf
The way Shelton dismantled Karatsev with such ease makes De Minaur look pretty bad. That said, Shelton is probably going to achieve far more than De Minaur ever will.

Cole did decent for you and your dad mate.
Morikawa just got that putter on a hot streak in the final round.
Morikawa showed his class in the end. For me he was too short though regardless.

With a round to go Otaegui is lurking behind the two leaders, but I'd rather look at Schmid and Winther and at the prices I prefer Schmid. I'm backing him at 3.35
-
Final players are just going out for the final round and I'm backing Hossler at 5.12 - with Morikawa lurking it's probably worth backing any other player in the mix tbh.

Brickbats to Laddies who are offering the Etienne & Kamara TD double at 11/10 AS A PRICE BOOST from odds on!
Just over 3/1 the worst I’ve seen in the 3 or 4 other places with prices.
That's dreadful. Just goes to show that boosted prices aren't always worth it - even though that's clearly what's suggested.

Hard lines mate. Was just one of those weeks where there wasn't many touchdowns in many of the games.
Yeah going through a rough patch right now. It'll turn eventually. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I'm looking at LIV golf after striking out last week in the PGA. Despite Griffin's horror show, I think Koepka is a worth a bet to justify favouritism and get the W. Other than that, I like Howell III from off the pace. Good luck all.
73pts Koepka to win LIV Jeddah @ 2.10 365

Not exactly a TD fest unfortunately!
No. It happens and is obviously bad news for TD bets.

Pacheco 11/10 with Lads
Would need to be next price up (23/20) to be a system bet but he's odds on everywhere else and has scored a TD in each of his last 3 outings.
Should probably stick to my "system only" mantra but I'll have a tilt at this one on a quiet Thursday.
Nice price on Pacheco @harry_rag I'm backing him as well but can't get anywhere near that. I've also got a couple of dogs onside.
32pts I. Pacheco to score a TD @ 1.80 365
11pts M. Mims Jr to score a TD @ 7.86 Betfair Exchange
26pts R. Wilson to score a TD @ 8.45 Betfair Exchange

The Adams price looks good @harry_rag I've tried to get similar but looking like I'll have to miss out. There's only two others I like and they're both dogs so every chance of two losers tonight.
6pts J. Love to score a TD @ 5.02
8pts J. Deguara to score a TD @ 18.15
