Deja vu with Barney here. This is like five years ago. Playing really poorly.

You might be referring to me there. I stand by what I said though. To be a 1 in 3 striker in the teams he's played in is scandalous. Actually, he's even worse than that for Arsenal and despite this little purple patch I'd far rather go on the last couple of hundred matches that he's played for two of the best teams in the country.

Might be to do with motivation. Dale is soon to retire and has been doing a fair bit of commentating.

Let's hope the experiment of holding the Next Gen a few days before Christmas will be abandoned. It's felt like a bit of a graveyard to me and also an afterthought with everything else going on at this time of year. If its purpose is to showcase up-and-coming talent that most people won't have heard of then I doubt it's succeeded in that, but if it has then anybody tuning in would have seen a lot of underwhelming performances from players who didn't look to me as though they were fully invested in the tournament.

Honestly thought he was going to lose that. And from 2-0 up and unbackable even on the exchanges. How well did Carolissen play though - nothing suggested he could play like that.

I reckon the numbers would improve significantly if only heavy home favourites were looked at. Tonight's match between Tottenham and Manchester United is the wrong odds profile for what I'd be looking to do.

And this is supposed to be the pinnacle of the sport. Surely there are a hundred-odd darts players in the world that can double at least 4 out of 10 on a regular basis. If there isn't then it shows how far the sport has to go before there's no more room for players to improve.

Like chalk and cheese. The worst performance so far followed by easily the best. Grbavac just lost 3-0 with an average of nearly 100. He must be fuming - would have beaten every other player that's taken to the stage so far with that performance.

No idea what that was from Landman. That's the worst performance of this tournament so far by a mile. 3 out of 23 checkouts. Never held his throw after winning the first set and never broke his opponent once and his opponent was a massive underdog.

Such a shame. And it seems like it's almost impossible to fully get over once you've had it.
