The action continues across the UK this coming weekend and we welcome back the Championship and SPL after a week off due to the international break. A lot of fascinating games coming up. We are starting to get a better picture of how the league tables could finish and which teams are worth backing (and avoiding!) at this early stage of the season.

i'd stick my money on burton to beat birmingham although i expect burton to struggle to stay in division but i think this match is winnable one for them. birmingham failed to even score against bolton at home on tuesday.
i agree about middleborough they should do well in championship because of their defensive quality and i'm thinking of taking them against nottingham forest who concede too many goals and middlesbrough will probably have chances to score few goals.
ipswich at home is also a good pick. they have started season in good form and bretford are defensively leaky same as last season.
reading is also on my radar to beat not so hot preston. their games have been tight but i imagine that reading is going to play their high pressing game and beat them in ninety minutes.
fulham have played better at home since last season but with three consecutive draws it's not very encouraging although they played norwich, reading, leeds which are tough opponents. i don't think this sheffield wednesday is at the racers yet. fulham can clinch the win against them
i am not sure how good this wolverhampton is and why but three win in a row in pretty good start. cardiff likewise have won all three without conceding. i am considering a score draw
i think qpr can beat hull and qpr looked better going forward against norwich in midweek despite losing. hu8ll have conceded in all three games thus far and so they will probably concede here as well

ac milan were sold to chinese business and they have invested in new players. they got rid half the squad from last season. they have signed massive defensive player in bonucci and he will make them better at the back. i really think lazio will challenge for the title. inzaghi has vast footballing experience and had a positive impact at lazio last season. if team improves even a little bit over last season they will be up there and at 50/1 to win italian league that's great price

i think burnley is going to beat chelsea 3-2 because i don't think chelsea is ready for new season at all. they can't replace costa with morata. he is going to flop in premiership. they sold matic who was crucial to their defense. hazard is probably negotiating with real madrid already and the team haven't signed enough players. i am taking double chance on burnley also because they will score

Bournemouth DNB against West Bromwich looks great to me, best odds around 2.30 @ Marathonbet for instance.
I think Bournemouth has much more attacking power and potential to perform better than WBA. Players like Ibe, King, Fraser, Afobe etc. will create plenty of goalscoring chances for them. Also, McAuley is missing from the WBA starting XI which I think is a big drawback for them. Also, WBA has performed weakly in their pre-season matches, having won only 2 of those (against Walsall and Burton in July).

i'm thinking toulouse beat monaco 0-1. the sale of star players mendy, bakayoko, silva and mbappe and lemar that could still leave by end of transfer window is going to make monaco much less of a threat so toulouse could get something. i also like double chance on them.
strasbourg could give lyon a run for their money. i am liking a score draw here since lyon have lost potent striker lacazette in the transfer window. i am not sure who is there for them to step up and strasbourg seem to have goals in them.
lille have strengthened by bringing in strikers in araujo and pepe and few other midfielders which should help them be a better team in attack. interesting to note they play nantes who are coached now by ranieri and we know what he did with leicester. i am not sure he can do same with nantes although i expect them to play open and win games. i still feel they have lost their way a bit in pre season and that could be because raineri doesn't know his best team yet and best formation yet. i think lille will win and i also like lille win and both teams to score
i like angers to win 2-1 because bordeaux play in hungary on thursday and gives anger a bit of an edge in preparations and few more days rest. it was interesting to see how bordeaux conceded twice against the hungarians at home. that has rang alarm bells to my ears and by the fact they will travel twice away in space of three days i gotta fancy the a home win

borussia dortmund really need to sort out their defense otherwise they will always be in situation where they concede and have to crawl their way back. if they continue the same trend from last season than they are very likely to fall a goal behind often. i fully expect bayern munich to score first and win

    Thanks for the tag.
I think Stoke will struggle for reasons I outlined in the antepost thread. Arnautovic is being linked with West Ham today and to lose him would make them more impotent than they are already.
Spurs, after a couple of great seasons may struggle to replicate that having basically forfeited home advantage for the season. We saw in last season's CL campaign how significant that can be.
Bournemouth appear to have bought well and could surprise if they can improve defensively.
Arsenal could be underrated if Wenger perseveres with the 3 at the back formation. They won something like 9 out of 10 games playing this formation at the end of last season and then dominated Chelsea in the cup final so it appears to suit the players. 12/1 might underrate them.
Chelsea and Liverpool will need bigger squads, being involved in Europe this season.

    only one game interests me
    osasuna to win
osasuna win both teams to score
sevilla will finish fourth whatever happens here so i see them struggling to finish season on a high. i have watched them many times this season and usually are all over teams dominating them but they have nothing to play for and have let in 9 goals in past three games. they are ending season miserably out of form and that makes osasuna appealing due to the fact that whether they were winning or losing this season they always pushed forward and tried to score goals. i think there is chance of big upset in this match

it's simple, things happen when you least expect and crystal palace are overwhelmingly backed by bookies and punters so i have to oppose them here and give burnley more chance to cause an upset
